About the property

3 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom Sleeps 8

Far away from traffic the loudest sound you will hear are the jet boats as they cruise the Rogue River full of happy people on their way to a scenic boat ride and dinner. The deck overlooks the river where you can watch the river and all its wildlife or grill your favorite meal on the BBQ. If you want to get some sun you can lay by the in ground pool and hot tub. This pet friendly house has a huge fenced backyard to keep the critters happy and safe. There's a family room for TV and games and a Living room for quiet reading with a view of the river. The Large master bedroom has a master bath with tub and shower and a king size Sleep Number bed. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower. There is also a bathroom and shower just off the pool.

Just down the street is a large city park with a soccer field, modern playgound equipment, tennis courts and plenty of room for a private walk or picnic. Your children can walk to the park without crossing a city street.

Why Mike Hughes chose Southern Oregon

My two sisters and I inherited this home from our father. We still like to get together there a few times a years. By making this a vacation rental we are hoping we can still have our time together and afford to keep and care for the house

What makes this house unique

Although this house is a little hard to find once you get here you will find quiet seclusion. You can bring your own groceries and spend a no stress few days away from the rat race or you can opt to see the sights around Grants Pass picnic at the park or wine and dine at some of the best

restaurants in southern Oregon.

Lots of room, quite, clean & warm!

The home was easy to find with owners great directions. We stayed for 4 nights during the Christmas holiday. Big rooms & plenty of space to spread out. My teenagers loved the foosball, hot tub, basketball court and river right on property. Also, this has a big side yard with grass. The pool was a great plus, too - even though it was the wrong season for swimming! The home was warm & quiet. It needs updates but for the price it was great! On the second day the wifi wouldn't work consistently. But, I have no doubt we will be back to Grants Pass & would definitely stay here again! If I had to add just one thing, it might be another TV. Our teenagers would have liked to watch something else in the other big living room. This home is close to Gooseberries, which I love going to! Great organic store! Thank you for opening up this home for rent!

This was our second stay at this property? It did not disappoint. The house is large and great for entertaining large groups of people. We had Thanksgiving with our entire family. The kids enjoyed polar bear swimming in the pool and having double ovens came in handy! The property has great areas for the kids to play and is centrally located to town. Have recommended this property to friends should they visit the area and my family plan on future visits. Home is complete with everything you need for a nice visit in Grants Pass, Oregon.

Great stay in private location with view of river

I stayed here for a week with my family at the end of October, and we had a great time. The house has plenty of room (three bedrooms, huge master suite, two living rooms, etc), a great view of the river on the deck, a hot tub and a pool. It was a little too cold to swim in the pool, but the hot tub was perfect and very relaxing. The trees surrounding the property were beautiful as we came just in time to see the leaves change color. The area was quiet, the house was clean, and everything we needed was there. The listing was an accurate description of the property, and Mike answered all the questions I had in a timely manner. I would recommend this property and definitely stay here in the future. Grants Pass was a very nice town with plenty of things to do. The downtown area is beautiful and well taken care of. I would recommend going to the Grower's Market, getting coffee at Dutch Brothers, and eating at Si Casa Flores. We also took a trip to see the Redwoods, which were breathtaking and definitely worth the drive-we were also able to see the coast on the trip to see the trees.

A large home right off of the Rogue River -- super quiet location

Yes the house is dated but it has everything that you need and is very comfortable, warm and quiet. The beds and couches are all very comfortable and they invite you to curl up with a good book and a cup of hot tea. Every morning I started the day in the living room looking out the huge windows curled up in the couch, HEAVEN.

Although the property was advertised as having a fenced yard, upon further inspection there were many gaps and locations that are dogs would be able to get out so we decided to keep them on a leash at all times and did not let them out to run free around the backyard. There is a sheer drop off into the Rogue River so we were very mindful of that when walking the dogs around the backyard.

The location is very quiet, which we enjoyed the most about the property. The dining room sat a cozy six and the kitchen was a dream to prepare meals in. The house was also close to a park so we walked our dogs there daily. Also, we were about ten minutes from town so that made it very easy to pick up items we needed.

Owner's Response: There is a short length of fence we are in the process of replacing that does have a small gap at one end. This project should be completed in the next few weeks. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Mike

Perfect getaway in the heart of Grants Pass

This property was perfectly situated for my family's stay in Grants Pass this fall. Minutes from downtown, en route to the Redwoods and an easy jumpoff point for Crater Lake, we could not have asked for a better location. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to make for a comfortable and easy stay. Of all the amazing amenities (pool, hot tub, cable) our favorite was sitting on the deck and taking in the beauty of the Rogue River and watching the leaves change. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone from families to couples looking for a fun place to hang out and enjoy all that Southern OR has to offer.
