Grants Pass House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom Sleeps 8

Far away from traffic the loudest sound you will hear are the jet boats as they cruise the Rogue River full of happy people on their way to a scenic boat ride and dinner. The deck overlooks the river where you can watch the river and all its wildlife or grill your favorite meal on the BBQ. If you want to get some sun you can lay by the in ground pool and hot tub. This pet friendly house has a huge fenced backyard to keep the critters happy and safe. There's a family room for TV and games and a Living room for quiet reading with a view of the river. The Large master bedroom has a master bath with tub and shower and a king size Sleep Number bed. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower. There is also a bathroom and shower just off the pool.

Just down the street is a large city park with a soccer field, modern playgound equipment, tennis courts and plenty of room for a private walk or picnic. Your children can walk to the park without crossing a city street.

Why Mike Hughes chose Southern Oregon

My two sisters and I inherited this home from our father. We still like to get together there a few times a years. By making this a vacation rental we are hoping we can still have our time together and afford to keep and care for the house

What makes this house unique

Although this house is a little hard to find once you get here you will find quiet seclusion. You can bring your own groceries and spend a no stress few days away from the rat race or you can opt to see the sights around Grants Pass picnic at the park or wine and dine at some of the best

restaurants in southern Oregon.

A little piece of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

1st of all let me thank Mike for renting out his property on the Rogue. My husband (who is in a wheelchair) and I have never stayed at a more accessible location. The house is big and roomy and oh so comfortable. Love that Sleep Number bed! Mike provided a case of cold water for us and all the necessities a vacationer could want were available. The pool was the perfect temperature. We were there during the hottest week of the summer with temps ranging from 100-111 degrees, but with the air conditioning in the home, and a big gorgeous pool right outside the door the heat did not dampen our spirits. We did not use the hot tub, but only because of the weather. It was on and ready to be used when we arrived.

Our dog loved the big fenced in back yard. And Mike showed class by not charging a pet fee as most do. There is an apple tree and I made a delicious apple pie while we were staying at the house. We rode the Jet boats, took a day trip to the Redwoods and another to Crater Lake. We had a great time at the Josephine County Fair as well. We would definitely return to this oasis in southern Oregon, and we would not want a thing to change in the house or on the property. Thanks again, Mike!

Old school however great bang for your buck!

  • 4 of 5

This property is very large, we had a large crowd for breakfast two different days and had plenty of room. Owner is great guy and tries to take care of all your needs. If your are looking for the Hilton experience, you will be disappointed. However if you want to enjoy a river view, good beds and a private quiet location, this is the place for you. We used the river access and floated down river on several occasions. Close to town and other great locations.

Absolutely Loved It!

  • 5 of 5

Mike has thought of everything! When you enter the garage into the kitchen, there is a ramp for your luggage and/or great for someone in a wheelchair. The A/C is on auto so the house was nice and cool. There are ceiling fans and regular fans if you want or need more airflow. The Jacuzzi was on auto. There is a game room located next to the pool that has a foosball table, blow-ups for the pool and even goggles and life preservers for kids. There is a basketball court and in the game room there is a basketball and even a volleyball. The pool is very deep right away near the shallow end, this is perfect for use of the diving board. There are two apple trees, wild black berries and tons and tons of organic green grapes growing, but more for mid-August I believe is their ripe time. Mike provided mosquito repellents, there was back-up propane tank for the barbeque, dish soap and dishwasher liquid. The toilets all had spray which I brought my own and didn't need. Plenty of space in the kitchen, three back-up refrigerators with freezers in the garage and a whole mess of games nearby the bar. He even had a radio which was great for the pool, there are plugs out there you can easily use. He has signs posted for Wi-Fi, and the TV/cable instructions. Didn't watch much TV. Extra pillows, blankets and plenty of towels. Plenty of outdoor plastic chairs too. Full laundry area with plenty of room and cabinets, comes with an iron if needed. So much room in the master and bathroom. This house may be outdated, more like the 70s, but it makes the house even more loveable, it has a warm and good feeling to it. We want to stay again next year if it is available, but we don't have my boyfriend's vacation schedule quite yet. Looking forward to our return.

Quiet with river view

  • 3 of 5

This is an older home (built in the 60's maybe?) with not many updates. It is very roomy and clean. The hot tub didn't get above 97 degrees, but our 14 year old granddaughter was fine with that. There were five adults and we wanted it hot, so we did not use it. She wanted to swim, so she cleaned the debris out of the pool (it was very stormy and windy when we were there) and had a good time playing even though the rest of us thought it was to chilly. She also enjoyed the Light Brite she found in the game closet. It wasn't warm enough to sit on the front deck, but there is a nice view of the river. The heat was turned off when we got there, but my husband figured that out without too much trouble. It is in a very quiet neighborhood and that was nice. The location was perfect for our trip to the Oregon Caves. Better than staying in town. We had an excellent Peruvian meal at Gtano's on SW G St. downtown. We also enjoyed a trip to nearby Jacksonville. We had a very pleasant experience and enjoyed our stay.
