LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! 11.5 Miles South of Kona Airport. 2 miles to Magic Sands Beach, 3.5 Miles to Kailua Kona Village. In quiet Sea View Circle neighborhood.

Bright and welcoming. Mountain Breezes and Ocean Views! This place is designed for people who want to hear the birds sing and feel the soft trade winds breathe on their sun-kissed skin. For those who want to smell the sweetness of the plumeria's and delight in the exotic palms almost an arms reach from your lanai.

From serene sunsets to exciting live volcanic eruptions, the Big Island has it all and Kona Seaviews is ideally situated for all of your fun Kona adventures. Just 300 feet in elevation up from the best snorkel beach in Kona (Kahaluu) where sea turtles are often seen sunning themselves on the shore and 20 minutes to the most pristine golf course you can imagine, where the wild Peacocks and Nene birds are free to roam.

The Kona Seaviews are the best part of a newer Hawaiian home (built in 2003) situated in one of Kona's most authentic Hawaiian neighborhoods. Your ohana has it's own entrance and the only thing you share is the laundry room, with Dianne and I and only when we are able to leave the mainland and enjoy our piece of paradise.

Pick from the lime tree or a plumeria, and enjoy the GREAT weather; beautiful flowers; singing birds and all the peaceful views of the Pacific from the lanai.

This is a home you will want to return to year after year. Come and enjoy the lush, rich, peacefullness of Kona Seaviews. You will be glad you did.

Our vacation ohana offers three bedrooms, two baths, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, an indoor living room with TV, wireless internet service, and laundry facilities. Relax and enjoy the peaceful ocean views while you have your breakfast or coffee on the huge lanai in the morning or with a glass of wine in the evening absorbing the beautiful Kona sunsets. Ceiling fans in each room allow for open windows and for you to awaken to the sound of singing birds.

Bring your swim suit and flip flops and your good to go. We have installed an outdoor shower to help you wash off the sand from your trips to the beach.

About Clyde Sebastian

We are Clyde and Dianne Sebastian, originally from Minnesota but met while we were both teaching school in Australia. We have four adult children and four granddaughters. We have been Texans since 1984. We discovered the Big Island when we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 1999. We fell in love with Hawaii and eventually purchased our home in 2007. At this time we still spend most of our time on the mainland and thus our fully furnished home is available to you for vacation rental. Dianne has a rewarding career working with students who have dyslexia and Clyde has recently returned to coaching high school wrestling. This keeps us on the mainland for now.

Clyde Sebastian purchased this house in 2007

Why Clyde Sebastian chose Kona Coast

We purchased this home because the lanai across the front of the home gave us a true Hawaiian feeling. Being built in 2003 it is clean and fresh. You enter our home on the second level and as you enter you will already see the ocean through the patio doors out to the lanai. The ceramic tile floors eliminate any worn out carpet. The master has a king bed with a private full bath. The second bedroom also has a king bed which makes for private sleeping for two couples. The third bedroom has a single bed and a desk which provides a place for your laptop. The queen sofa is a hide-abed if needed. You will find you spend most of your time out on the lanai where we have three tables and nine chairs. Our pricing allows you to save money for a longer stay or to do the Manta night dive. You will be pleased with the climate, fresh air, and comfort of our home.

What makes this house unique

Affordability with a great location. Our pricing for a single couple is a great value and our location is perfect for exploring all the Big Island has to offer. We have additional beds for more guests for families and small groups and our pricing for the additional guests is reasonable. (Note: We may lock off the second bedroom if you are only a couple to reduce our cleaning costs.) Our home gives you a good perspective of what it would be like to actually live in Hawaii. We have a diverse neighborhood from snow birds to local Hawaiians. You may hear the hula classes down the street and drive by our neighbors who have two pet pigs. Watch for children when schools out and keep them safe. This is a neighbor hood where you hear kids play just like it use to be on the mainland. There is one neighbor who has an occasional outburst but if you’re out enjoying the Island you will likely never hear him. It becomes quite here after sunset as you will experience when you come and visit the authentic Hawaii experience here on Sea View Circle. Try it, and you will not be disappointed!

Our guests love the open air and views from our Lanai. We have had inquiries about the need for air conditioning. No one has air conditioning at our elevation. The temperatures are pleasant and you will sleep comfortably at night. Additionally, every room has a ceiling fan which is helpful during the warmer part of the day. There is no need to enclose yourself inside and run an air conditioner. We need that back in Texas but you will be very comfortable and enjoy the open air while staying at our home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Beautyful and spacious home

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful condo with the huge lanai was the perfect home for our vacation. Everything you need was there, including fresh lemons from the tree. Clyde and Dianne were great hosts, they told us the best places to go and the best things to do. The location was perfect with nice neighbors, only a few minutes to downtown and to the snorkel beach. We hope to come back soon.

Spacious, convenient home with great lanai in Kailua/Kona

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a great 8 day stay at Clyde and Dianne's property. The rental encompasses the entire upstairs floor and is very spacious for a couple, pair of couples, or small family. Shared living areas inside and out are large and nicely/comfortably furnished, especially the huge lanai, where we spent hours in the morning and evening, reading and watching ocean views including whales swimming by - it was hard to tear ourselves away. The house is a great value for the area - centrally located/convenient to all the major tourist activities including snorkeling at Kehalu'u Beach (minutes away) and Two-step (ca. 30 min), where we were fortunate enough to encounter a large group of dolphins one morning. It's also well set-up for snorkel/beach activity cleanup, with an outdoor shower and covered area to hang towels and wet gear, as well as nice separate laundry room downstairs. We loved the fresh limes off the tree, which made delicious limeade or gin&tonics! The owners were not in residence during our stay but were easily reachable (text or phone call) for minor issues/questions, as was a local property manager. Kitchen was large though we did minimal cooking, preferring to try local restaurants (Jackie Rey's is particularly outstanding higher end place; "Broke da Mouth Grindz" great for casual local-style takeout.) The whole property was well-maintained, clean, and organized, with a "welcome" notebook and little signs all over the house that orient you and help you find things - that was great. This is a regular working neighborhood so expect some moderate family/neighbor noise and activity in the early evenings; it's OK but not great for walking - quiet streets but no sidewalks and on a fairly steep hill. We much prefer this type of location off the tourist strip, and would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Beautiful home and great owners!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home and great owners! This review is long overdue, but I still have such fond memories of our trip. This is a great place to stay, the view and the lanai are both amazing, and the delightful home is well-equipped with everything you need. With the birds, the sunsets, and the scenery, it's a very peaceful and calming place to rest after all of your Big Island adventures. Clyde and Dianne put a lot of work into making sure you have a great experience at this beautiful home during your stay, and they have insider knowledge of the great places to go and the best things to do. I will never forget the manta ray snorkel or the sunset from the Mauna Kea observatory. Both experiences were breathtaking, and the manta ray experience was so powerful that it brought tears to my eyes. I highly recommend this vacation home in paradise.

We loved our accommodations. It had everything we needed and more. We loved the tropical breezes we had with the windows and doors open. The geckos were fun to watch and the birds were pleasant to listen to. We only wish we could have gotten to the papayas before the critters did!! Our only issue was the distance from downtown. But, that didn't keep us from totally enjoying ourselves.

The rental was clean and easy to maintain. We had a little difficulty getting into the property but the owner and on site manager were quick to resolve the issue. The on site manager willingly shared where to go for great food and things to do during our stay. Thank you for a very fun vacation.

Owner's Response: It sounds like you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for being the first to experience the symptoms of when the batteries for the digital lock need changing. We've got that figured out now for our future guests. Yes, one needs a car to get to the marvelous places on the island. It would be a good hike to The Kona shops and coming back is up hill. But it is the Big Island! A car is needed to explore and see the sites.

A great home away from home. Super place to relax on the Big Island. Central location.

  • 5 of 5

Our time at Sea Views was delightful! We found the accommodation very spacious and comfortable. All our basic needs were met. The kitchen was thoughtfully outfitted for our convenience. We chose to eat in and found ready made delicious meals to choose from at Costco. After a long day of snorkelling and exploring we would come home to enjoy our dinner on the lanai with a gorgeous sunset. Dianne and Clyde were happy to provide additional information to meet our interests, with details on local events we would not otherwise been aware of. The location was great! We found access to the highway quick and simple and the central location enabled us to explore in all directions easily. Some of the activities we enjoyed besides snorkelling were touring a local chocolate farm, night snorkelling with the manta rays, shopping at local markets and a trip across the island to a vanilla farm. Our favourite places to eat were the "Coffee Shack" and "Island Lava Java". The Lillikoi cheesecake at the Coffee Shack was exquisite! We definitely plan to return and have already booked for next year. We enjoyed living like the locals in the neighbourhood environment. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and relatives as a great value and experience of the genuine Hawaii.

Our newer home, built in 2003, is located at a pleasant elevation yet close to Kailua Kona Bay. A 3.2 mile drive will take you to bay side restaurants and shops. Some of the best snorkel, sand, and surf beaches are just down the mountain to Alii Drive. The Kona coast offers beautiful views, coral snorkeling, dolphins, and whales. Explore coffee and macadamia nut farms. Our affordable prices give you the option to pay for a hotel or bed and breakfast when you make the trip east to see the volcano, hot ponds, and beauty of the Hamakua coast. You will want to explore the Island but it is called the Big Island for a good reason. Base out of our home and spend a night when it's low tide on the other side of the Island. The tide pools of Kapoho and the Hot Ponds are better at low tide. Tina manages things for us on the Island and will make sure everything is ready for you.
