We were both born here! Despite travelling with our jobs in earlier years we returned to Bath when we got married and brought up our family here. We started a company together in the 1980's and ran it for many years from the farm which has adapted to our needs over the years. We feel very blessed to live here.
Jilly purchased this Barn in 1991
Why Jilly chose Bath
We fell in love with this place the moment we saw it! For years we drove past it on the way to our sons school. It was rather neglected in those years but still way beyond our reach financially! But our business began to grow and one day we saw the farm was up for sale. Despite some nail-biting moments we managed to secure it and have spent the last 20 years here. It's an ongoing project and we love it!
What makes this Barn unique
We are so close to the vibrant city centre yet can be back in the calm surroundings of the farmhouse in a matter of minutes. The farm still has its old bread oven in the sitting room, a natural spring in the garden, and beautiful mature trees around. It really is very special place.

Home away from Home - Fabulous
We came to stay at Little Owl Barn for a week while visiting Bath. We were fortunate to find this lovely place on Homeaway after much searching for a place to stay.
It is an absolute treasure and so are the owners. We were thrilled with the location and premises when we arrived. Jilly and Paul came to greet us and made us feel very welcome.
The home is spotless and well appointed with everything you need. Lovely living room and kitchen, big beautiful bathroom, lovely comfortable bedroom.
It is an easy walk in to Widcombe and then across the half penny bridge right into bath (maybe 15 minutes). There is a lovely market not far from their home that sells a variety of meats, jams, breads etc as well as other lovely items. Don't miss out the amazing climb to Thomas a Beckett Church and Prior Park.
There is free parking on the premises which is very handy should you rent car. We were able to visit Bath and the surrounding area and are really missing being there right now.
We hope to come back and stay at Little Owl in the near future. Many thanks to Jilly and Paul for sharing their beautiful home with us. You have done an outstanding job on decoration and comfort and making your guests feel like they are right at home.

A wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at Little Owl Barn. Located in a peaceful and leafy area and an easy and delightful walk to Bath centre, it's shops and attractions. The cottage was beautifully restored and presented, very comfortable, clean and with modern conveniences. Lovely accommodation and we look forward to a return visit.

Excellent barn conversion with original features kept.
The place is lovely and the owners were fantastic. Couldn’t fault the place at all and would recommend it to anyone. The location is also perfect for exploring bath, everything is walking distance. We didn’t want to leave!!

The City of Bath is a World Heritage site, as famous for its Roman Baths as its stunning Georgian architecture. Add to that its festivals, museums, markets, theatres, shops and restaurants and you have a rather special place. Little Owl Barn is in a tranquil conservation valley just minutes from the lively heart of the city. It is also ideally situated for visiting so many other interesting and historic places in the West Country: Wells, Glastonbury, the Cotswolds, Oxford, London, Castle Combe, Lacock, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Highbridge, and the Cheddar Gorge to name but a few.
