About Norman & Catherine Stoehr
We designed and built Eaglerock as our vacation home to come to the mountains to escape the heat in summer from our permanent residence in Florida. We wanted a great view and when we cleared the lot the view was beyond what we could have imagined! We first visited Asheville but after coming to Hendersonville we fell in love with the place. It is such a beautiful little town and has real and vibrant downtown economy. The energy is just fantastic here! We love the mountain golf courses and enjoy motorcycling all over Western NC. We now have a cottage on Morrison Lake in Muskoka, Canada and have been spending a good bit of time there rather than in the mountains.
Norman & Catherine Stoehr purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2001
Why Norman & Catherine Stoehr chose Hendersonville
As an Architect and Interior Designer this gave us the opportunity to design and furnish a home that maximized the views and was suited to the way we live. We wanted an open plan that was great for entertaining and a large deck to accommodate spacious outdoor living. Finding a lot that was close in with a terrific view was difficult, but we just got lucky be just 10 minutes form downtown Hendersonville
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Private 3.5 AC wooded lot Spectacular views Dramatic 2 story great room with bridge. Impressive stone fireplace with natural gas log insert Open plan Gourmet stainless steel kitchen Excellent for entertaining Professionally designed and furnished Expansive deck in the trees Beautiful mature landscaping

The view and the kitchen !
I really enjoyed this property.Norm and Katherine were a pleasure to work with. And Tracy the property manager. The kitchen had everything I could ever need to cook a meal. And we constantly enjoyed the deck and grill. Thanks for sharing your Hendersonville home with us.
Gorgeous views!! Huge rooms, extremely comfortable, very well stocked, very clean! We had a blast! Spent most of our time on the back deck and the huge living area. We would rent again in a heartbeat! Hope to return soon. The owners are very easy to contact and everything was just so easy and relaxing.
