Located in a corner, with a garden (700 sqm) all around the house and with a private swiming pool surrounded by a fence to prevent children's falling. A big terrace oriented to the East and over the lawn and trees is the best for summer afternoons and winter breakfast. Another terrace in the main entrance and oriented to the west is great to have breakfast in summer over more lawn and palm-trees. The barbecue close to the pool is perfect to organise parties with friends.
The villa is decorated in the traditional Spanish style with dark wood furniture , wooden 'casetones' doors and wooden blinds. It has 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Bathrooms have been recently restored.
The villa is equipped with heating and chimney to be used in winter and air conditioning for summer. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The villa is well prepared for children.

Social Club: 100 meters from the villa there are a 'social club' with 4 tennis courts, 2 paddle courts, a big swimming pool and a small swimming pool for children, playground, cafeteria and free internet access. Free entrance if you are staying in the villa.
There are some useful services very near my villa: a 24 hours open shop and bakery just around the corner, a One Michellin Star at 2 minutes walking (called 'Casa Alfonso'), and one of the best restaurants specialised in paellas in terms of quality/price at 3 minutes walking.

My name is Pilar. I live in Valencia that is 250 kilometers from Campoamor.
Pilar purchased this villa in 1980
This property belongs to my family for years and years. My father was one of the founders of Campoamor's Marina and I have been going to Campoamor for holidays during all my life. I love this place and I want to share it with families travelling for holidays. I am sure they will also feel at heaven in my villa
My family spent afternoons and afternoons in the terrace looking at the lawn and the pool. The fresh air always comes and goes in this terrace. At night you see the stars from there.
And we needed a big house in order to host my big family coming from other areas of Spain (Madrid, North, South). All of them have very good memories of summers spent in my villa
If i could give this villa a minus rating i would & here's why..............first of all i'd like to thank Pilar for ruining my holiday what i work hard for all year for so i can afford a week away with famiy.I'm a wheelchair user for over 20 yeears & rely 100% on a wheelchair,so when i look/search for a villa it must be wheelchair accessible, this villa was described as suitable for wheelchair accessibilty which is clearly not & the photos have been cleverly taken to hide that fact,i was lead to believe there was 2 small step to front door ,this fact is hidden from view on the ad unless you put your cursor on the wheelchair access,to me the phrase wheelchair access means wheelchair access inside & out without obstacles & access al areas
SO unless your name happens to be Harry Potter & you are pretty handy with your wand to make your wheelchair float over steps & resize/remold so it fits thru the bathroom/shower room door way, but unfortunately we live in the real world & not a fantasy 1,which makes your villa about as wheelchair accessible as mount kilimanjaro.
My wheelchair was not accessible for the shower room nor bathroom so i had to get on the floor & shuffle in best way i could which put added pressure on my leg muscles which made them sore & burn.So it was more like hell on earth than the heaven on earth as you describe it.
So let me enlighten you a standard wheelchair is 30" mine is a custom built 25" the bathroom/shower room door way is 22",so i'll let you do the maths.I suggest you look up the phrase WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.
I have reported this propertyto homeaway & notified the owner of these issues
So to sum up,i rented the villa in good faith & on assumption it was wheelchair accessible, would i recconmend this villa NO...........would i recconmend the area YES
The owner Pilar was fantastic in efficient communication from the time of enquiring into booking. Emails were usually returned within 5 minutes! She arranged our transfer from Murcia airport at very reasonable price, taking into account our group of 5 adults and 4 children (4 years, 3 years, 2 years, and 4 months) and their car seats! The villa was well stocked and clean. There were loads of nice personal touches by the owner who really appeared to enjoy her job and meeting people. It didn't feel like 'just another villa' but instead felt like we were borrowing her home! The toys and pool equipments were really nice to have and definitely recommend this villa for families. The use of the club was fantastic with lots of swimming and tennis. I recommend the restaurant Las Villas which is just around the block for their splended paella dishes. The 24 hour garage was very handy and good especially trying to source freshly baked bread and pastries at 0700. We would like to come again and next time we would definitely hire a car so that we can explore local surroundings. Thank you.
We had a lovelly time at the villa, it was perfect for our Labradour Dogs as the garden is very contained and plenty of room to play. We stayed for 6 weeks and they flew by. Plenty of places to walk the dogs and we played golf at the near by courses. We went to some very nice local restaurants at very reasonable prices. The Villa itself has everything you need for a holiday, clean and tidy, welcome fruit basket ,water etc. central heating when cold at night, lovelly sunshine during the day just follow the sun round the bungalow. We will be booking again for a long winter break.
My family and i have just returned from a weekend holiday at this villa. What a truly fantastic place. Even my 4 year old son who is generally stroppy, relaxed into the most idilic of settings. Villa Mercedes is just perfect for getting away from it all whith the benefit of having facilities close to hand for a night out, if you can bear to drag yourself away from the very private pool. We ate at the villa taking our time watching the sun set and generally relaxing. We went to the beach only once so that my son could have a swim but we soon wanted to return for our long lunch and relax. The villa was immaculate and well stocked with all of the equipment needed to have a truly wonderful time. We completely fell in love with the place. I will be booking again for next year but for 4 weeks!
I spend my holidays with my friends in this villa, this summer, and we really enjoyed it. The house is very comfortable, we had everything we need, for bed (pilow).., for bathrooms (towels..), we didn't need to bring something else.
The terrace is big and very pleasant, we spent hours and hours talking, playing card.
The swimming pool is enough big, and still clean,
The house is not so far from the beach, the supermarket, and if you have a car, you can go until Torrevieja which is very close from the house.
The beach is clean, and watched and the water of the sea is warm.
Concerning the weather, during the two weeks, we always had a very great weather, always sun and more than 30°C.
I'm very satisfy and Pilar, the owner of the house is very nice, still available and give always good advice.
Campoamor is a very exclusive place: very quiet, with only a supermarket, a Chemistry, 4 restaurants (the One Michellin Star 'Casa Alfonso', Las Villas, Harbour and El Pony), a very good ice-cream shop, the Church and a 24 hours open shop which is just 50 meters from my villa. There are also 2 “chiringuitos” in the beach where you can have “tapas” wearing your swimming costume.
Campoamor is located in Orihuela Costa. Orihuela Costa provides a vibrant nightlife with many entertainers working along the coastal resorts with its wide range of pubs and restaurants to meet all tastes. There is a wide variety of top quality beaches all awarded the EEC Blue Flag and have life guards. Some fantastic beaches that worth a visit are La Zenia, the very popular Cala Capitan beach at Cabo Roig and La Glea in Campoamor. All of them have beach bars and restaurants, plus volleyball and children’s play areas
To the north there are the beaches of Guardamar, La Mata and La Marina.
To the south the coast is full of lovely beaches to explore. The beautiful Mar Menor inland sea which is ideal for water sports and Lo Pagan for the mud bathing.
The famous La Manga strip is only a short drive or ferry away. Visits to Benidorm, Alicante, Cartagena and Murcia are recommended and can be made with the local coach trips companies at reasonable prices.
And there are 2 Natural Parks very near 'Villa Mercedes':
- Las lagunas de la Mata y Torreviaja (10 km to the north) where you will see how salt is taken from the see
- Calblanque Natural Park with wild beaches (40 km to the south)
The biggest commercial mall in Alicante was opened in 2012 at just 5 kilometers from Campoamor: Zenia Boulevard Commercial Centre with 5000 car park spaces, over 150 shops including Zara, Guess, Benetton, Blanco, Europe´s biggest Primark, H&M, C&A, Druni, Alcampo, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin, etc. For entertainment value there is a children´s large play area, casino, a bowling alley, an enormous TV screen showing football and other sports. The centre itself is a pleasure to walk around. And also recommend visiting the new and beautiful toilets.
Local resorts are the vibrant Cabo Roig, the popular Flamenca Beach commercial centre and the beautiful Villamartin Plaza. The main town of Torrevieja with fabulous marina, promenade, Habaneras shopping centre and water park is a 15 minute drive away and every evening during the high and low seasons you will find an abundance of small market stalls providing local craft along the front.
The local area is ideal for cycling: if you are interested I can give you information about renting bikes
Sports facilities in Torrevieja are amongst the best in Spain. There are several sports centers within easy reach of the villa. Football, Tennis, Petanca, Paddle, Bowls, Badminton, Gyms and Cycling. Close by there is the Go Cart track and Paint ball.
Golf: There are 3 challenging golf courses within 5 minutes of the villa. Villamartin Golf Club. The course is alongside the famous Villamartin Plaza. Las Rambles Golf Club is 5 drive minutes away and regarded by locals as the most difficult course. Campoamor Golf Club is 5 minutes away and very popular for the elevated position it enjoys spectacular views while sat at the sun terrace, restaurant and bar.
