Nice house with cozy backyard not directly on the water but right across the street we would recommend this to others
This is a nice home for a family and it was especially nice to have Ted nearby to help us get settled in. We had a family of 8 staying in the
home and never felt cramped. Everything was comfortable and we loved the outdoor deck and bar . We had breakfast out there every morning
while watching the Olympics on the outdoor TV. We wish the beach at the end of the path had been suitable for walking or swimming but there
are many that are just a short drive away. Although we weren't around much to watch TV it was nice to have them in each room. I do suggest that the front blinds in the Living Room be repaired for the next guests. Also it was an unusually hot week in Traverse City and coming back to an air conditioned home was very welcome. It was also very convenient to have a washer and dryer to use. There is only one bathroom but is is clean and new. A bathroom curtain over the window that is not see through would be nice!!! Thank you Ted from Bernie and Paula Mantei and family.
Rented the house Mon-Friday and house was clean and very adequate for visiting with relatives. However in July the road (M-22/ S West bay Shore Drive) is very busy and very noisy!! Trucks going by shook the house! Also to get to the water you need to cross the road or go down to some of the public beaches. The backyard was great for being outside and we loved being able to grill and eat dinner outside. Property is convenient to winery"s and to Sleepy Bear Dunes.
The drive to Traverse City is just a few minutes and this property is not from from everything else (Sleeping Bear Dunes, Suttons Bay, Leland, many wineries, etc...). The place is clean and one of the best features for us was the back yard. It has a tiki bar, patio, fire pit...it was just a great place to relax and talk about our experiences after sight seeing all day. The owner Ted checked in with us really quick during our stay to make sure everything was going well and was always available via email or phone for any questions. Booking the property, checking-in, checking-out...the entire process was very easy. Thanks for letting us stay at your property Ted and we recommend it others.
This house is only about a 6 minute drive from downtown TC, the perfect location for our girl's weekend. Ted was very easy to get a hold of and always responded within a few hours. He was even so kind to pre-make a fire for us so all we had to do was light it! The pictures are very accurate and the house was kept clean. The house is a bit out-dated with drafty windows and older appliances but it served our purposes well. It was colder so we didn't utilize the outdoor bar area but it is a really nice addition when it's warmer out. I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a place to stay that is close to TC but not right downtown. We only wished we had more time there!
Located on the beautiful Leelanau Pennisula with more than 10 different wineries to tour as well as Lake Michigan, downtown Traverse City, the village of Suttons Bay and Lelands Fishtown. Nearby hiking options, as well as golf, multiple fishing and swimming options. Within minutes of fantastic downtown shopping, eating and drinking. The Sleeping Bear Dunes, 'America's Most Beautiful Place' voted by Good Morning America is roughly 30 minutes away. T.A.R.T Biking trail less than a 1/2 mile away.
