A quaint and comfortable cottage up north

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice home for a family and it was especially nice to have Ted nearby to help us get settled in. We had a family of 8 staying in the

home and never felt cramped. Everything was comfortable and we loved the outdoor deck and bar . We had breakfast out there every morning

while watching the Olympics on the outdoor TV. We wish the beach at the end of the path had been suitable for walking or swimming but there

are many that are just a short drive away. Although we weren't around much to watch TV it was nice to have them in each room. I do suggest that the front blinds in the Living Room be repaired for the next guests. Also it was an unusually hot week in Traverse City and coming back to an air conditioned home was very welcome. It was also very convenient to have a washer and dryer to use. There is only one bathroom but is is clean and new. A bathroom curtain over the window that is not see through would be nice!!! Thank you Ted from Bernie and Paula Mantei and family.

Nice house for family visit

  • 4 of 5

Rented the house Mon-Friday and house was clean and very adequate for visiting with relatives. However in July the road (M-22/ S West bay Shore Drive) is very busy and very noisy!! Trucks going by shook the house! Also to get to the water you need to cross the road or go down to some of the public beaches. The backyard was great for being outside and we loved being able to grill and eat dinner outside. Property is convenient to winery"s and to Sleepy Bear Dunes.

Nice retreat close to Traverse City

  • 5 of 5

The drive to Traverse City is just a few minutes and this property is not from from everything else (Sleeping Bear Dunes, Suttons Bay, Leland, many wineries, etc...). The place is clean and one of the best features for us was the back yard. It has a tiki bar, patio, fire was just a great place to relax and talk about our experiences after sight seeing all day. The owner Ted checked in with us really quick during our stay to make sure everything was going well and was always available via email or phone for any questions. Booking the property, checking-in, checking-out...the entire process was very easy. Thanks for letting us stay at your property Ted and we recommend it others.

Great location, very homey

  • 4 of 5

This house is only about a 6 minute drive from downtown TC, the perfect location for our girl's weekend. Ted was very easy to get a hold of and always responded within a few hours. He was even so kind to pre-make a fire for us so all we had to do was light it! The pictures are very accurate and the house was kept clean. The house is a bit out-dated with drafty windows and older appliances but it served our purposes well. It was colder so we didn't utilize the outdoor bar area but it is a really nice addition when it's warmer out. I would recommend this house for anyone looking for a place to stay that is close to TC but not right downtown. We only wished we had more time there!

This house is just right!

  • 5 of 5

We used this property for my sister's bachelorette party, and it was perfect! We comfortable slept 7 girls in the beds available. Even though there is only one bathroom, that didn't present a problem at all during our long weekend. The living room was large enough to accommodate all of us while eating or playing games. The kitchen was well-equipped, with a full fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker. But the hidden gem is the backyard! Deck, lawn, fire pit, grill, and bar!! We spent any time we were at the house and not in bed in the backyard. Beautifully maintained and very private, it made for some of the best times during the trip. While the bathroom looks to be recently renovated, the rest of the house is not. But as it is kept very clean, the lack of renovations added its charm. As this was my first time in traverse city, I don't know if it was centrally located, but I know we didn't have to drive far to get to downtown or a grocery store. The house faces East Bay, and on the sunny days, there is a beautiful view out of the front windows.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this property for those willing to share a single bathroom and are prepared to drive to any location.
