CASA CANADA is a 3 bedroom luxury townhouse situated in the popular O Pomar holiday village close to the lovely fishing village of Cabanas. The main entrance leads to an open living area comprising of a large dining table and comfortable lounge seating with TV and UK Channels, along with a modern and fully equipped kitchen. The first floor has 1 double and 1 twin bedroom both with ensuite bathrooms, and on the second floor is the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and private balcony, table and chairs. All rooms are air conditioned. Leading from the kitchen is an outside dining area with table and chairs and traditional BBQ. The small garden is grassed and lined by trees therefore providing privacy. The O Pomar holiday village offers pleasant surroundings including a large residents swimming pool, snack bar, restaurant and WIFI. The village shops, bars and restaurants are just a short walk away, along with the boat to the beautiful Cabanas Beach Island.

‘O Pomar’ is a brand new holiday village increasing in popularity because of its great location and spacious, modern accommodation. The complex has a cash machine, snack bar and a large swimming pool with sunbeds. The surroundings are well maintained with paths and plenty of parking for cars. O Pomar is a short walk away from Cabanas village which can be reached in around 5 minutes on foot. Not overcrowded with tourists, Cabanas remains largely unspoilt and has a friendly, family atmosphere. The whole village can be leisurely strolled, from end to end, in around 30 minutes and has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and cafes catering for all tastes - most of which are along the sea front capturing the day time sunshine. For smaller budgets and a taste of the real Algarve, there are also a number of traditional bars and Tascas serving typical Portuguese meals in the back streets at very reasonable prices! The village has 2 good supermarkets with a range of fresh produce and there is also a daily market, butchers and bakers. There are relatively few gifts shops, but in the height of summer, there are stalls selling hand crafted goods. Cabanas is not a destination for those seeking activity and night life - the atmosphere is generally relaxed and is perfect for socializing, relaxing and dining. Good bus/rail links.
THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF TAVIRA: When staying in this accommodation a visit to the beautiful town of Tavira is essential! You will not fail to be enthralled by its unspoilt charm, character and tranquility. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history dating as far back as 2000BC. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful drink or meal. Horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful ambiance. The many churches (37 in total!), the town castle and the typical fisherman's harbor leading to the River Formosa Natural Park are all places to visit, along with the wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce. Tavira Island and its wonderful beach is accessible by ferry boat from the town and offers excellent facilities with a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
BEACH & OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO: The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the idyllic Beach Island of Cabanas is no exception. Around 15 minutes stroll away, take the small water boat across the River Formosa to the beautiful sands. There are a few beach bars, and sun beds and are available for hire. By traveling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do for everyone. For nature lovers, forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance! Traveling West there are some excellent shopping centers in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine all easily reached by car or by day trip coach. The Spanish border town of Ayamonte is approx 25 km by car, where the delights of another country can be sampled along with wine, Tapas and shopping. Ayamonte can also be reached by ferry from Vila Real. Seville is about 170km away, and budding historians may enjoy Castro Marim castle.
GOLF: This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes. The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Traveling only 10kms further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and just on the border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity. We can organize a full golfing package with 1 price per head with play at a selection of these courses, car hire and rental of this property. (Flights not included).
