After a lovely drive down a quiet tree-lined road, you and up to 11 other lucky guests will arrive at Wildwood Hideaway, a newly-remodeled, spacious five-bedroom vacation home in South Lake Tahoe. Only two blocks from Heavenly's California Lodge, it will be your own private retreat in the Lake Tahoe mountains!
With luxurious finishes and thoughtful furnishings, this home is perfect for a family reunion or friends' getaway: spend nights outside relaxing in the hot tub, playing pool downstairs as a group, or just lounging in front of the fire watching a movie or playing board games late into the evening.
Near the front of the house, you'll enjoy peek-a-boo views of crystal blue Lake Tahoe. Once inside, head upstairs to the large living room with a beautiful gas fireplace. Seating abounds with a comfortable couch, spacious cushioned window seat, even an old fashioned rocking chair. Pop some popcorn and settle in for an evening in front of the fire, watching DVDs on the 42-inch flat screen TV.
The large and bright kitchen and dining room provide lots of space to socialize as a group around mealtimes. All the appliances for creating meals are right at your fingertips, including enough counter room for baking projects like cookies and pies. There's even a slow cooker for putting together soups and stews for a hearty dinner after a day out on the slopes! The large table has seating for six and there are extra stools nearby. Deck access is right off the dining room, and includes an outdoor gas grill. Just pick up some steaks, veggies, beer, and iced tea at the store and you'll be all set for a great meal outside surrounded by the region's lush natural beauty.
There are three bedrooms on this upper level, including the master suite. This room has a king sized bed and a calming blue and green color scheme. A sliding glass door leads out to the deck. Lie in bed and admire the tree-lined view while waking up, or head right out to the deck in the mornings with a cup of coffee and use the WiFi to check the news on your laptop.
The other two bedrooms have queen beds with coordinated, comfortable bedding, reading tables and lamps, and more of those lovely forested views. All of the upstairs bedrooms also have their own TVs with cable, and there are also three full bathrooms upstairs. The layout of this house makes it ideal for families or groups traveling with kids, as the adults can take over the upstairs, while the kids have their own space below.
Heading down to the lower level, you'll find an amazing game room with its own gas fireplace, another TV with cable, and a stereo, in addition to a handsome pool table. A wet bar provides a spot for making yummy drinks. Great for the whole group with comfy window seating and plenty of other places to watch the action or just sit and talk. Two nearby bedrooms have two sets of bunk beds for the kids, and there's another full bathroom down the hall. This home will sleep 12 guests comfortably, as well as your furry family members: dogs are welcome, though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply.
If you can tear yourself away from a spirited game of pool, the backyard is complete with a large deck, horseshoe pit, and a hot tub. With room for everyone to relax, unwind, and breathe in the fresh mountain air from a cocoon of bubbling hot water, this may just end up being everyone's favorite place on the property. Designed for year-round use, the tub features a roof; even if the snow is coming down ferociously, you'll be shielded and free to watch the blizzard in amazing comfort! Lots of deck seating is available, so feel free to borrow a book from one of the shelves inside and find a quiet place outside to lose yourself in a lazy vacation read.
In the winter, just walk to the lifts at Heavenly! You can enjoy the freedom of leaving your car parked at the house and just heading to the slopes for hours of skiing or snowboarding whenever you'd like. You can easily come back to the house for a quick break, some lunch, or to check on the evening's slow cooker meal. The house also has a washer and dryer, so wet clothes can be quickly dried and everyone will always have clean and warm socks.
Everything that South Lake Tahoe has to offer is all within a couple of miles of the house -- world-class casinos, entertainment, golfing, and dining options with everything from pizza, to fine dining, to bakeries, even vegan specialties. Of course, there's also scenic cruises and beach activities to consider. In the summer, the more adventurous have access to paddle-boarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, parasailing, and even more!
Without a doubt, this spacious and amenity-packed Wildwood Hideaway with Hot Tub will make your next escape to Lake Tahoe a vacation to remember.

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The house was perfect for a 30th birthday party. It was in a central location so that we could easily get to town, casinos and beaches. It was clean, well-maintained and the kitchen was stocked enough so that we were able to make home-cooked meals for a large group without having to bring cooking equipment with us. It felt like home, yet it was still large enough so that we did not feel over-crowded. The pool table and hot tub were nice amenities too. The bunk beds could use an update but other than that, the sleeping quarters were comfortable. There's plenty of parking space and the owners do a good job providing instructions for checking-in and checking-out. We saw a bear going home one night walking through the neighborhood so don't take the bear instructions lightly! We had a great stay and I would stay here again!
It is a great house, very nice interior details. Hope to return sometimes!
Paper work is not consistent-" bring firewood-- NO place to burn. "
This place is amazing!
This house was really great and had all sorts of fun stuff to do! We took over the bottom floor with the pool table and the deck was great. The house was enormous and really was able to accommodate a large group, without feeling so crammed. Our group loved it so much we are looking forward to coming back in the winter to go snowboarding.
It was a great way to spend Memorial Weekend. The deck was perfect for grilling and spending quality time with quality people. Would definitely rent it out again. The only con was that the kitchen chairs were in poor condition and 2 broke when we were eating dinner.
