Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s familys summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a websitecould be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!
First of all, we planned for a 4 bedroom house, however one has to really jump through hoops to call this one a 4 bedeoom. As you go down the stairs, you enter a hall which then connects to a hallway leading to the third bedroom. The owner is calling this hall a bedroom but no couple can possibly have privacy there.
Sencondly, the dishwasher was broken so we had to wash dishes by hand. Manager said that it will be fixed in the morning but after multiple vauge phone calls he said that the technician has cancelled so it will not get fixed. They eventually came in to fix the dishwasher 30min before our checkout!
Biggest problem with the house was that when they originally were trying to fix the dishwasher before our checkin time, they left the doshwashers drain pipe un-hooked, causing a major flooding situation with all the garbage we put in the disposal. We had to spend time cleaning the floor while on vacation!!
Also, the grill on this property was a gas grill but the cylinder was empty. We did not know we have to being a gas cylinder!
Lastly, the downstairs' bedroom door would not shut completely. Causing a lot of privacy issues.
We received a 200$ refund but given all these big problems and misrepresentation of the property, i dont feel like i should pay at all.
Lovely large house w/ great Ocean View, even in driving rain storm Plenty of games, etc to keep kids occupied and happy since very limited time outside due to weather
We really loved this home! The back yard is incredible and the whole family had a great time enjoying the property and beach. It was very private and we felt like we were miles from anyone because of the mature trees and private setting out back. The views of the ocean are amazing and the sunsets in the evening were spectacular. The only thing I would change is the size of the hot tub. A family sized hot tub is a must! The game room was great for the grand kids and the size of all the other rooms were great. The island kitchen was very nice for the family meals and the kitchen was very well equipped. We really enjoyed this home and would highly recommend it!!
We were very comfortable, would have liked to have another bathroom
but all worked out well.
We stayed at this fabulous house on a stormy, wet weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better place to be our sanctuary. The house is deceiving from the outside - the spaciousness and open flow astounds when you walk in. But, this home still offers a warm, cozy feeling not present in a lot of larger beach homes. The views from the living area are amazing, and there are lots of places to hang or sit putting jigsaws together. The kids LOVED the pool table in the living room, and the TV in the basement area was also a popular hangout for the kids because they could turn it up loud watching the cable channel streaming Harry Potter!
The bed linens were exceptionally clean, crisp and inviting. No need to bring personal pillow cases or worry about the cleanliness of anything : fresh, white-as-snow linens added a cloud effect to all the beds (including hideaway and day beds). Kitchen was very well stocked with all the pans and utensils you would need for a large party, and even a full spice drawer! Baskets holding dog towels and hot-tub towels were conveniently located by back doors and blankets for curling up on the many sofas were also provided. Bedrooms were large and spacious. Only word of caution here is that there are only in fact, 2 bathrooms and one half bathroom. So two showers for up to 12 guests is a little tight, but we worked it out. The fact that the master bath is as large as a ballpark helped!! The outside area was fantastic - and although it was raining most of the weekend, we still ventured down to the beach via some stone steps and had a great time splashing around in the rain. Super home, you won't be disappointed. We decided this is our favorite rental home in Yachats and will certainly be back.
What an incredible house! Our group of six loved every minute in this estate, and no one wanted to go home. At first we thought it might be too large for our needs, but then we all spread out and enjoyed all the beautiful views from the house and decks, plus the amazing acre property and easy access to the river and beach. We each found our favorite spot, and cozied up with a book or an iPad while others played games in the garage, enjoyed the pool table, or whipped up something yummy in the well-equipped, modern kitchen. We were there for 4 days, and still feel like we barely scratched the surface on all there is to enjoy with this home.
We highly recommend this home for six or more -- plus it's great for kids if you have them or a well-trained dog. It's close to Hwy 101, and the yard isn't fully fenced, so be careful to not let young kids or dogs run out without keeping an eye on them.
