A condo that feels like a house, with private parking and entrance. Purchased fall 2012 and completely renovated. The entire first floor has beautiful new tile. Complete renovation of the kitchen, and the three bathrooms & bathrooms. New hurricane proof windows everywhere keeps the outside noise outside. East-facing balconies are perfect in both the afternoon and the evening. Great in the morning sunshine during chilly weather.
The kitchen/dining/living area is open plan with a beautiful granite counter top accessible from both the kitchen and the dining area. The flat-screen TV can be rotated so if you are there during March Madness you can see the games from the eating area.
Every bedroom has its own bathroom and balcony. Big laundry room with huge washer and dryer. There is a small outdoor living area and a grill but with the beach so close, that's where you will want to spend your time. Beach chairs, and everything else I can think of you might want, are available in the storage unit downstairs.
We purchased the condo in September of 2012 and have lived in it throughout the extensive remodeling. We designed it for ourselves but enjoy renting it.
Louise and Russ Moses purchased this townhome in 2012
The location is perfect. The beach is a short block away, less than one tenth of a mile. Two minutes from the kitchen to the water. You will want to visit some of the other local beaches and will probably walk farther from the parking lot to those beaches than you will walk from your kitchen to the beautiful Indian Rocks Beach. The Episcopal church owns the property across the street and provides a quiet setting. You will enjoy watching the beach people come and go from the balcony.
The balconies are east-facing so very pleasant to sit on in the afternoon and evening. The inter-coastal waterway is not visible but is just on the other side of the church property across the street. The tops of the boats are visible.
The location is perfect for those who enjoy short walks more than long drives. I walk to get my hair done at Rapunzels, and my nails at Crytals. Our three favorite restaurants in Pinellas county are Keegan's, TJ's and Guppy's. A very short walk will take you to all of them. The Indian Rocks Beach Municipal Park is to the north-east. It has a nice playground, and skate park, and tennis courts.
It was very nice and comfortable. The owners made sure everything was ready for us.They left cookies, milk, candy, orange juice, bread and jelly for toast. They also left my daughter's favorite flowers(daisies)on the kitchen counter. It was everything it said it was and more.I would absolutely stay there again.Thank you for all of your hospitality.
Steps to the beach was the main selling point. We had 3 couples staying there - each with their own bedroom, bath and balcony. Appliances and electronics were state of the art. The living/dining/kitchen area was perfect for dining, playing games or watching games and Netflix. Some of the group had to work part of the time. the wifi was great! Of course, the beach (especially the sunsets) was the best part. The location was convenient to restaurants and shopping. We could not have asked for better hosts! We would not hesitate to return!
We rented this property for the month of February, 2015, and ten months later remembered to write a review. This unit had everything that we could want. Everything in the unit was new and of excellent quality. The owners were taking great care, and we appreciated thoughtful touches like fresh fruit and flowers on hand when we arrived. It is quiet and comfortable, a minute or two walk to the beach, and there are several good restaurants within short walks. Indian Rocks Beach is a great place to relax. Be sure to walk to the beach to watch the sun set over the Gulf and to listen to the playing of "Taps".
My family and I just spent a week in this beautiful home and community. The owners are wonderful and made sure that all our needs were met. They had goodies waiting for us when we arrived and made sure to check in throughout the week. The condo is beautifully set up for more than one family. There were nine of us total (6 adults, 3 young children) that stayed and we had more than enough room.
The location to town, the beach, and the park is ideal. My boys loved that they could spend their day between the park and the beach and not have to drive any where to do that. Our last day we got to enjoy seeing many dolphins swimming out a little ways from the beach. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We will definitely look you up in the future when we choose to return to Florida.
What a wonderful place to stay. Close to beach (across the road), great restaurants, and a wonderful community park (as well just across the street). Walking to everything is definety one of the best things about this this place as well as the fantastic owner. Louise and Russ were availabe at the drop of a hat for any of our concerns. The condo was very clean and they are still doing reno to the unit to make it even better. The deco in this unit was awesome. What my husband and like about this condo is that we were able to enjoy the downstairs of this unit and when company came the upstairs provided our children with their own space as each bedroom has it's own bathroom.
I would definety recommend this condo for families or couples who vacation together or invite their family for a visit.
We had such a great time on our vacation that we are already planning our return trip. This house was perfect for our group (two adults, 4 teenagers). I was a bit concerned at first because I originally wanted to be directly on the beach but the walk to the beach is literally 2-3 minutes. The money we saved by not being directly on the beach allowed us to do so many other fun things. The park across the street was perfect for the boys to play basketball while waiting for dinner. The home itself is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a fabulous beach vacation. Indian Rocks Beach is a very small beach town without all the commercialism of Clearwater. We loved that there isn't a McDonalds or Hooter's on the beach. The French bakery was our absolute favorite place to walk to every morning and Aqua Prime was our favorite dinner spot.
Indian Rocks Beach is an old-fashioned beach town. Most essentials are available without leaving the island, and many within walking distance. Cafe de Paris, an authentic French cafe, is about three fourths of a mile down the beach from the condo. Stop by for the best croissants outside of France.
The initial payment may not be fully refundable, especially for properties rented well in advance of occupation, for instance contracting in March for the following winter. I will be glad to formulate and individual policy for you.
