About Mim Miller

We were high school sweethearts and married soon after graduation. The rental suite was actually our first apartment. We have enjoyed living on the farm ever since and it was a great place to raise our 3 children, all of whom are now married.

The farm's lineage has been traced to a deed signed in 1750 and we're passionate about the family farm as an integral part of the fabric of our nation. We really see ourselves as stewards. We have such a connection to the farmland, and that in turn translates into a God connection. We value where the land came from. There's no more being created, and we value it as a treasure. We have a responsibility to it.

As a family-owned and operated business, the Miller Homestead, up until 2012, was a dairy farm. We continue to raise heifers for a neighbor and grow corn, hay, soybeans and barley.

We enjoy traveling and often stay in vacation rentals in out of the way places. Many times through the years we have hosted out of town relatives and friends in our home and love to share in their lives. When the apartment was vacated, we decided it was the right time in our lives to make it available to travelers.

The Miller Homestead is located within easy highway access to Lancaster, York, Harrisburg or Philadelphia, providing many options for day trips. Children can enjoy playing in a large yard or watching the farmer at work. The owner is a Licensed Massage Therapist for those seeking the benefits of a therapeutic massage. Please contact owner prior to arriving to check availability.

Awesome place!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay! Its a peaceful place to relax and renew. We enjoyed the walking path through the 200 acre working farm and seeing the goats, cows and others. We stayed 5 nights and had beautiful weather. If your desiring to stay a little out of the way but in driving range to everything then u can't go wrong with this property. The owners are great, friendly and helpful.

The perfect play to stay!

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a quiet, cozy place to get away then this is it. The farm seems to be way out of the way, but it's really a short driving distance away from many awesome attractions. We traveled to Sight & Sound, Hershey Park, and other Hershey attractions during our stay and none of them felt too awfully far away.

The farm itself is picturesque and very quaint. My wife and I stayed here for our one-year anniversary and felt right at home. Clair and Mim are fantastic people and could not have been nicer to use during our stay. They were flexible with us in many ways and we were so appreciative.

The surrounding area is nice with plenty of room for a beautiful walk around the farm. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for our stay. We would certainly come back again and hope to some day!

Peaceful, comfortable, everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

This place was like heaven. We were so surprised at how cute the apartment was. It had a full size refrigerator, stove and all the cooking supplies you would need. We cooked almost every night during our week stay. The bed is so comfortable and for someone how doesn't usually sleep well when not at home I slept extremely well. Mim and Clare were very gracious hosts and the apartment has pictures of the history of the farm. I just can't say enough about this place, for just a little more than the hotels in Hershey we didn't have to put up with all of the noise and confusion going on and we saved that money by cooking for ourselves 2 meals a day. I would definitely recommend staying and losing yourself here, it is just 20 minutes to Hershey, Harrisburg and Lancaster. Gettysburg is about an hour but well worth it. We will definitely be back. Thanks Mim and Clare

Cozy & relaxing stay on the farm!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter and I LOVED this property - especially when our friendly and gracious hosts encouraged our 9 year old to feed their goats who were adorable! The property was very comfortable, quiet, cozy, clean, well-kept, had all the amenities you could need, basically everything you'd want when traveling in Pennsylvania. Check out Gus's for a great country breakfast and Babbo's for a good Italian meal - each less than 15 minutes from the property. We also visited Hershey Park while staying, only a 25-30 minute ride! We will definitely be back!! Big thanks to The Miller Homestead!!

FOR EXTRA CLEANING AND LOST KEY SHE COULD NOT FIND. I MADE SURE PLACE PLACE WAS OK INCLUDING PUTTING THE TOWELS INTO THE WASHING MACHINE WHEN I LEFT. SOUNDS LIKE SHE LIKES TO RIP PEOPLE OFF.
