|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Deep in the woods on 38 private acres, only one mile from Bristol Mountain. Be as secluded as you want or as connected as you want with Wi-Fi, HD cable TV and excellent cell phone coverage. The only other property on our 38 acres, is our A-Frame, also available on VRBO (#442204). The two cabins are 200 - 300 yards apart, and not in sight of each other.
During the winter months, you really need a four wheel drive vehicle if it is snowy or icy The driveway gets plowed, but that doesn't always eliminate slippery spots if it stays below freezing. The driveway is very long with hills. If you come in a two wheel drive vehicle and it is snowy or icy, your chances of getting all the way up are 50/50.
My wife Mary Jane (MJ) and I and our three grown children (Sarah, Ben and Tim) are an adventure family. We sail, ski, bike, hike and more. We have lived in many different parts of the country and love Rochester's proximity to the Great Lakes, the Finger Lakes and good skiing.
Jeff or Mary Jane Jones purchased this cabin in 2006
'The woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep'
There are beautiful views in all directions and from every window. Peaceful, quiet and always a ton of things to do while enjoying nature. Only a short drive to Canandaigua, Naples and Rochester, NY.
Jeff and MJ really go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The cottage has all the necessities, and is SO cozy. The property is private and secluded, with cool hiking trails throughout. Beautiful views, peace and quiet... I could stay here for another few days.. or weeks! We will DEFINITELY be back! We found our spot!
We had a wonderful time at your place in Bristol! Everything was as you stated and better! Perfect place to escape for a weekend. Thanks for sharing and the wine wasa great touch!
The place was exceptional and very cozy, reminded me of the south from which I am from. The feeling of being in the mountains surrounded by the fall colors was very warm and inviting, realaxing , peacefull and serene
We were delighted to see the inside of the cabin. It was clean and modern as well as wonderfully private. We brought our granddaughter with us and there was plenty of room.
Our trip included my 50th High School Reunion up in Fairport, a visit to Corning to see friends and tour the Glass Museum, a sailing trip on Cayuga. the Canadian side of Niagra Falls, and going to Naples. The cabin's location was perfect for all our wandering around the state.
Our granddaughter had never been up North so this trip not only gave me a chance to introduce her to where I grew up but it also gave her many new experiences.
We happened to be there during the heat wave so the air conditioner was really appreciated.
The kitchen was well supplied and had everything we needed whether eating in or bringing back leftovers.
The owners of this cabin were very gracious and helpful. They have set up a lovely private place to stay, a real haven to return to after our hectic days.
I grew up in the Naples area and was returning for my high school reunion. Rather than spend a lot of money on a B&B I decided to look for a cabin/home where I could relax after travelling and visiting with friends. This cabin was perfect and I only wished I had longer to stay there (had to get back to real life). I love the coziness of the home without the loss of modern amenities. In the evening I was able to sit out on the porch and just enjoy the quiet of the woods around me - as well as sip on a lovely bottle of wine that was left for us by the owners. It is away from it all but near enough to the action if you need a night out. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.
We were looking for a private getaway and this was the perfect setting in the woods with absolutely nothing to hear except the sounds of nature. When we did want to venture out, there were plenty o f things to do. Even in 90 plus degree weather it was remarkably comfortable sleeping-there is a window air conditioner in the main room and ceiling fans in every room. We enjoyed seeing a nest of baby barn swallows, who on our last day were big enough to fly away-they were adorable! Thank you, Mary Jane and Jeff for a most relaxing stay in your cozy cabin!
Located in the woods, on 38 private acres, in the heart of the beautiful Bristol Hills. Only one mile from the Bristol Mountain Ski Resort.
