There were a few glitches upon our arrival but we eventually settled into a lovely week of visiting friends, doing some work, hiking, lovely walks and great meals. As a former resident of the area, I would say classic Mariposa experience.
Great place to stay for visiting Yosemite
Property manager very responsive. House located in an area where you could hit various entrances to Yosemite. Plus lots of space for our puppy to run!
Great Mariposa Spot
The house was just as described and fit our family perfectly. The kids liked climbing the boulders and playing in the yard and it was easy to access town. The owner responded quickly to questions before our arrival. We would definitely stay again if we get back to the area.
My family and I enjoyed our stay. Close to town and to Yosemite.
Private cabin close to Yosemite
Wonderful cabin! Very private but not scary-isolated. 2 bedrooms 2 baths were perfect for 2 couples + 1 toddler. The drive to Yosemite is about 45 minutes 1-way, and after each day of hiking we had more than enough hot water and towels in the home. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates/utensils/zip lock bags/coffee/etc. The front and back yard is enormous and there are fun boulders to climb in the backyard. The only thing we missed was a fire pit for smores, but otherwise 10/10.
This property has country charm on the outside and is clean, comfortable and open on the inside. It is tucked away where you can sit outside and enjoy fresh air, see many wild animals (deer, turkey, humming birds, and the neighbor's horse) and simply relax after a day enjoying Mariposa or Yosemite.
The Pioneer Market grocery store had everything we needed and had helpful and friendly clerks as we shopped for food and beverages for our stay. The Mariposa Coffee store (a bit out of town) also had a family feel to it as a local business happy to show you around, taste a fresh cup and pick out your favorites.
Everyone should stop at the welcome center to learn about what to see, do and eat in the area. Talking to the Ranger there will also help plan out what suits each person inside of Yosemite.
