About Debbie Pemberton

I'm originally from Barrie, Ontario but moved to Victoria BC in June 1989 when my then 6 year old daughter finished kindergarten. As a single mother I wanted to be closer to my family who had all previously made the move out west. This was the best decision that I have ever made. Victoria is truly a wonderful place to live with everything it has to offer, not to mention the fact that it has the best year round weather in all of Canada. Not too many people in Canada can say they golf and bike in January and February but we can here in Victoria.

Debbie Pemberton purchased this house in 1991

Why Debbie Pemberton chose Victoria

I purchased this home in 1991. Being an older home it was full of character and had a lot of soul. There are hardwood floors in the main living space, wainscotting in the living room and sun room.

Over the years I have completely renovated the home to bring it up to today's modern standards.

What makes this house unique

This lovely home is tucked away in a quiet, residential area but ideally located close to downtown. It gets an abundance of light throughout the home. The sun room has nine windows alone! It's a charming, character-filled house that is relaxing and clutter-free. Care was taken to decorate it to show it to its full advantage.

Family time in Victoria

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time in Debbie's lovely renovated home. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was amazingly well equipped. We would definitely stay there again when we are in Victoria. Easy to find your way downtown via Cook St.

Beautiful home, garden and a wonderful host.

  • 5 of 5

The pictures on the site are lovely but the home and garden when seen are even more beautiful. My family and I were so impressed and so pleased that we had chosen Debbie's (the owner) property for our vacation. Nothing was too much for Debbie. I had inquired before we arrived about a stroller, a high chair and a cot for my Grandchildren. All were there when we arrived and also toys for them to play with. The garden and outside seating area such an added bonus to enjoy outdoor eating. The kitchen was so well equipped. Each room was so beautifully presented. It was a delight to return there each evening after a great day of activities. It is in a fantastic location close to down town Victoria and the water front....a 10 to 15 minute drive in a car. I would certainly recommend Debbie's beautiful vacation home and would rent again for my family vacations. Thank you Debbie for a lovely 2 weeks and nice memories.

Excellent accommodations

  • 5 of 5

This home was wonderful, had everything you would need. Lots of room. The kitchen had an abundance of supplies and kitchen accessories. Just know there is no central air conditioning in this home but I think that is the standard for the area. It was really only warm on our first day. The temperatures were cooler the rest of our stay so it wasn't an issue. There are very nice vertical fans in each room though and a single A/C unit in the kitchen that works nicely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Debbie was very nice and helpful with all our needs. We would stay here again if we return to Victoria, we loved it. And recommend these accommodations highly. Conveniently located to many things too.

Thanks for everything Debbie.

Canada 150 coast to coast

  • 4 of 5

Relaxing, after 4800 klms driving from Ontario what a reward. This home has well appointed kitchen and is close to everything in Victoria. A solid home base on which to travel Vancouver Island. My wife an I enjoyed our stay in Debbie's home. A hidden gem in Victoria and we would certainly return in the future. My wife loves to bake and Debbie had everything she needed to feel right at home. Thank you for your hospitality and warm friendly spirit Debbie. We hope to return and see you and your beautiful home again. Keith and Linda from Ontario, Canada

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and we had such a great stay. The city centre is just a short drive away and there is a grocery store just a few blocks from the house.

Debbie was very kind and welcoming.

Victoria is a lovely community located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island and is also the capital of British Columbia. It is the must-see city to visit in British Columbia, starting with a trip - just a ten minute drive from my home - to the Parliament buildings adjacent to the harbour. Victoria has been a popular recreation destination for well over a century with year-round golfing, cycling, bird-watching, kayaking and hiking to name just a few of the many activities visitors can enjoy. Just around the corner from my home, are popular restaurants like Fifth Street Bar and Grill and San Remo (Italian) restaurant. Shopping is nearby since my home is situated close to two major malls in the city.
