Our condo is a few minutes walk from the beach (Anaeho'omalu Bay: A-Bay), restaurants and shops - it's the perfect place for your stay in Hawaii. It is a short walk to the world-class Hilton Waikoloa and Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotels.
Our quiet 3rd floor location (unit D303) has been upgraded with gorgeous bamboo and tile floors and features contemporary colors. It sleeps up to six guests. There is an eco king bed in the master bedroom with an full en suite bath with dual sinks and a separate walk-in shower, a queen in the second bedroom with adjoining bathroom, and a full sleeper sofa in the living room. All of the towels, sheets, and linens are organic and/or bamboo. The kitchen is fully stocked for those who love to cook. A huge lanai stretches from master bedroom to living room. Enjoy stunning views while you have breakfast, with great views of Hualalai (the dormant volcano overlooking Kona). There are two phones with free long-distance calls to the US and Canada, and high-speed wireless internet (DSL). There is a washer and dryer in the unit.
You'll love the recently renovated, huge outdoor pool surrounded by plants and birds. Immerse yourself in either hot tub and relax. The on-site bathroom makes it easy to change by the pool. Close by are propane BBQ grills ready for a party in the courtyard. The office has computers/fax/copiers (for those who must work) and a full exercise/gym room.
You only need to bring a toothbrush and swimsuit! Pool, tennis, golf, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving, dolphins and more are all close by - treat yourself to fun and relaxation. Walk over to the Hilton, King's or Queen's shops and enjoy amazing restaurants and fun shops. There is now a full-service grocery store in the Queen's shops. At the Hilton, sit beside the Dolphins as they show off their latest tricks. The sculptures around the extensive Hilton grounds are beautiful and compelling.

We choose our Vista Waikoloa condo because of the beautiful grounds, the solid concrete construction, great location and peaceful feeling. We visit the area every week, and after several years (and many options) finally found the perfect condo.
We love to walk to Sansei (Japanese food) in the Queen's shops on Sunday or Monday for a 50% off special, then take a leisurely walk to the ocean to watch a beautiful sunset. It's magical.
Another favorite activity is to visit the dolphins at the Hilton, usually with a stroll along the manicured gardens and among the ancient art along the way.
Bohdi Tree restaurant is amazing!!! Fantastic vegan gluten free options.

Condo was acceptable ,met all our needs. We were comfortable and tried to respect the property as our own. Thoughtful of owners Bonnie and Steven to extend chocolate and pancake mix welcome gifts and a welcome note. Thank you to them for allowing us to share their home in paradise. Listing was fairly accurate. Biggest perk for us was the location. Wiakoloa was gorgeous, close to beaches, close to restaurants, stores, attractions. Property grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Property was very clean and nicely layed out. There was plenty of space for our family of six. The lanai was one of our favorite spots to relax after a busy day, enjoying the evening breeze and the stars. It was amazing how quiet things were after sunset. A previous reviewer/renter of the property mentioned that some things were dated, especially with the kitchen. This was accurate, as per the dishwasher, microwave, ice dispenser on the fridge (froze up frequently), some of the cabinetry was canted and difficult to close. The beach gear was nice to have instead of renting everything, but quite "used" and worn. You may want to rent some new snorkel gear instead. Our primary complaint was having to wait 2.5 days before having any air conditioning. We also inquired about a noon check-out due to a late flight out but didn't hear anything back from the owners regarding this. Overall, a nice, enjoyable experience with a few glitches thrown in.
this was our first time on the big island so we had no idea where to stay, but this condo was great. i had searched all reviews to make sure we could walk to a beach, our first morning we ran into a super nice gal(barbara) who was out for her morning walk,she didn't just tell us route but she walked us there ! you skirt between ( i think) bldg F & G , follow the edge of golf course & walk right down to main road right across from the Marriot & acess to A bay. would i want to drag all the beach stuff & kids there? probably not but it was perfect for my husband and I . we also liked that the location was close to two shopping areas which had nightly entertainment. the Kings shops had Coach,Macys etc but the other Queens market had a grocery store , cute shops & a food court with subway & DQ , really, really handy. the condo was nice & had everything we needed. A Bay had gritty sand but we we're told they were going to be rebuilding the fresh water ponds & fixing the beach since the last big storm took half the beach away. Hapuna beach was just a 15 min drive north & that was a great typical Hawaii beach (white soft sand ,great boogie boarding) for us we would rather be close to stores , food & entertainment then isolated with only the beach & the hotel amenities so we will definitely return . thanks again ..jay & lori schell..hillsboro , oregon
The front door lock works fine, never had any issue with it at all. Upon arrival it was obvious the air conditioner and the wifi were not working. I notified Bonnie and Steve immediately. The air was fixed by the next evening and the wifi needed a new router which was brought over the 2nd day. They took care of both issues very promptly and were very nice in handling both problems. The unit is very spacious and well laid out. The wrap around lanai was also very large. They provided all the beach gear you'd every need. Great beach chairs, snorkels, fins, boogie boards and more! I never heard a noise from any of the surrounding units, it was very quiet. The master bed was very comfortable and provided for a great nights sleep. If you have business at the Hilton it's a very short walk. The beach was about 15 minutes and was a hot walk carrying all our gear, the good new is there is plenty of beach access parking on both ends of the beach and was much more enjoyable then walking. The pool is heated and is a long lap pool. Other residents were very friendly. Tropics Ale House is right next to the entrance of the complex. We enjoyed the ahi poke and pizza there. Nice to have a restaurant so close for the evenings that you don't feel like venturing to far. The unit is tastefully decorated, though the kitchen is a bit dated. Only complaint is the showers especially in the master bath were not clean. The grout, caulking and shower head were covered with black mold. It really needs a good thorough scrubbing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and felt the unit was a good value.
Totally enjoyed our stay. This condo is close to everything you want to see in Waikoloa and all the west beaches on the Big Island. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our 11 night stay, plus a closet full of beach toys. I enjoyed walking on the beach at sunset which is an easy 10 minute walk from the condo. The condo is spacious with very comfortable furnishings and new beds. The lock on the front door requires some skill to open and close. But once you get it figured out it's not too bad.
The property was in a beautiful location. The beach was very accessible. The property and grounds are wonderfully maintained. The owners were very responsive to our needs. We would certainly book the unit again and recommend to our friends. We enjoyed nearby beaches, shopping and restaurants.
