Behind the Lindon House B&B is our guest house for up to 6 persons, the Lindon Cottage. This 1200 sq. ft. unit sits on the Lindon House property with a sprawling half acre with back gardens, patio, gazebo and water fountains. This is often described by visitors as "A hidden Gem" in the downtown of Kelowna. The property is just steps away from the downtown shops, beaches, fabulous restaurants and night life of Kelowna.

About Don, Linda McDonald

Linda and Don have lived in the Okanagan for over 25 years. The couple met and married in an eight week whirl wind romance. Now 38 years later they have been helping others tight the knot at their beautiful B&B Lindon House.

They host special event weddings, milestone anniversaries, retirement parties and many other special gatherings. Their passion is in people and they love being a vibrant part of the Kelowna community.

Why Don, Linda McDonald chose Kelowna

The Lindon House Cottage is a cute, fully contained unit with full kitchen, living room, full bathroom upstairs with laundry facility and half bathroom downstairs. The parent property Lindon House is over 100 yrs old and Lindon Cottage guest house was designed as a smaller copy of the heritage home Lindon House. Located in the downtown quarter of Kelowna the 100yr old Lindon property has remained it's original size of over half an acre. The gardens are beautifully appointed by our award winning gardener. And all this just steps away from the downtown shopping, beaches and nightlife.

Our hosts Linda and Don could not have made us feel more welcome. Lindon Cottage is like a home away from home. So Beautifully appointed with every convenience you would want for a relaxing comfortable vacation. The front porch and outdoor entertaining area were great places to chill out and enjoy the quite of the lovely landscaped gardens.The cottage is situated far enough from downtown to be surrounded by shady trees in a peaceful environment, but close enough to be able to walk to the shops.

We felt our stay couldn't have been more perfect and for certain it was Linda and Dons outstanding warm hospitality that made our visit so wonderful

The Lindon House Cottage is located at the rear of the 1449 Ethel property. A contact person lives on site in the main house with information and is able to contact us directly with questions via email if needed. Gardeners work on the property Thursdays usually for 3-4 hours.

This was an excellent place to stay for our family. The owners were wonderfull. The house was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Would stay here again. We loved the outdoor fire pit area and the lights in the yard at night were magical.

Paradise steps away from downtown Kelowna

Travelled to Kelowna with 4 other friends for a wedding and could not have asked for better accommodations. Lindon Cottage provided a comfortable, spacious and spotless landing spot. It had a fully stocked kitchen for easy meal preparation and a comfortable living area complete with satellite TV, fire place and board games. The grounds are meticulous and there is a lovely patio for morning coffee/BBQ's etc. Easy walking distance to the downtown area. Linda called to confirm our arrival and left a significant amount of food in the fridge which was much appreciated upon our late night arrival. Will definitely look to stay here for any future travels to Kelowna with a group.

Great for a girls' getaway

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lindon Cottage. The house and grounds were beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our girls' getaway. The location was very central and easy to get to and from - direct access to the main highway and walking distance from the heart of downtown Kelowna. And as the previous reviewer mentioned, the food in the fridge that we found on arrival was also a pleasant surprise. Thanks Don and Linda for being such great hosts! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful gem in Kelowna. Walking distance to downtown and waterfront. Beautiful gardens with gate to a playground. We travelled with 3 young children and had an amazing time. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a little privacy, home like setting while being centrally located. Hospitality couldn't be beat! We will be back

Beautiful Heritage Cottage

The owners Don and Linda were so welcoming and helpful, we had everything we needed for our stay in Lindon Cottage. Don even picked us up from the airport!

Beautifully furnished and very well equipped with all modern appliances, this lovely heritage cottage was a home away from home for us. Comfy beds, great family bathroom, washer and drier, kitchen great to use with an island for family breakfasts, easy to use cooker and dishwasher. Better than home actually, haha! I like my cup of tea (being British) so Linda provided a large teapot especially. The food in the fridge was a nice surprise on our arrival too, thank you so much, particularly after our long journey.

With a semi-private garden and patio outside for summer BBQs and al fresco dining (shared only with the B&B guests) I can't think of any possible improvements.

The location in central Kelowna is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but just a short walk away from everything you could want, shops, restaurants, lake front and more.

Very highly recommended.

Take a stroll from Lindon to downtown Bernard avenue where many heritage properties are found along the way. Explore the many boutique shops, theaters or restaurants. Visit City Park where you'll find 'Hot Sands beach'. Book a dinner cruise on the executive boardroom boat also found where Bernard St. meets City Park. Head north toward Knox mountain park with it's breath taking views of the lake and city. Also in downtown's north end is the Arts district. Two blocks north of Bernard St. on Ellis the Arts district begins. Coffee shops, dress shops, dinner theater, Kelowna community theater, Prospera Place. All are a part of Kelowna's arts district.

So take in a play or movie, try your hand at the local casino in the Delta Grande. Or watch the boats sail from Kelowna Yacht Club.

Looking for activity? Book some para sailing, paddle board or kayak. Or take one of the many different wine tours of the Okanagan.
