Very relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Sayed here for a week and it was not long enough. The property is wonderfully landscaped and maintained. A perfect getaway! The house has everything one could need for a relaxing get away. We ran into one challenge and the owners were so responsive to provide us assistance to ensure our vacation was perfect! I would recommend this to anyone! We cannot wait to return.

Amazing relaxing solar powered hideaway overlooking the ocean.

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with six adults for three nights and were all very comfortable in our beds. My husband and I stayed in the "mother-in-law" apt and were very pleased with our privacy. We loved the open concept of the living-dining-kitchen space. The "cooks" found everything we needed to prepare delicious home-made meals and store the leftovers.

We arrived on a cloudy rainy day and were very thankful for the flawless transition from solar batteries (that were empty) to the backup generator.

I cannot adequately describe the peace of hearing the ocean surf through your windows as you drift to sleep or the insistent bird song that wakes you just in time to see the sun pop up over the horizon.

We were able to travel to Volcanoes National park from this location on a day trip with plenty of time left to get an early dinner in Hilo before retiring to this quiet house on the point.

Steve and his on-island assistants were very prompt in responding to some minor kinks in his homes functioning - nothing unusual for a home so near the ocean and the corrosion that easily occurs due to exposure to salt air.

We would absolutely stay here again if given the opportunity.

The design and layout of the house worked perfectly for our needs. We had all our meals outside and watched the surf. Very relaxing! Couldn't of asked for anything better. We plan on returning again.

Couple of side comments: it was a little dusty under the beds and in some corners of the rooms. Not much you can do about the gecko poop, that's just typical for Hawaii. Outside fan on the lanai was not working. It was easy to overlook these minor things considering the beauty and views!

Beautiful Ocean Views

  • 5 of 5

My family had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful home during our first trip to Hawaii. The home is spacious with all the amenities you need. The deck with views are amazing! The property is expansive and private yet a short drive to Hilo. The Botanical Gardens are very close as well. We did have some problems with water temperature in the shower and with the cable TV. The maintenance man came right away to address these issues. We hope to return soon!
