My name is Lynann Nicely, I am a court reporter on Maui and also a ballroom dancer. I've lived on Maui for 20 years. I'm confident you will really enjoy your vacation staying at my condo at Maui Kamaole!
Lynann Nicely purchased this condo in 2001
As a full-time resident of Maui, I bought my condo to live in myself and therefore wanted quiet, privacy, and beautiful surroundings. I handpicked the location, after first owning another unit at Maui Kamaole and knowing where is the BEST location. I live in a house nearby now, when I'm not spending some time with family in Tampa, and share my vacation rental condo with select guests who really seem to enjoy the personal touches and quality I provide for them.
My Fern building condo at Maui Kamaole is ideally located, everything is at your fingertips from the grill for your dinner (right outside) to the beautiful pool (close but not TOO close) and the nearest beach is only a few minutes walk away. When we book your vacation, as a long-term resident I can help you with advice on activities, restaurants, whatever you need.
Thank you so much, we enjoyed Maui & the condo. This is a magical place, we will forever remember as our honeymoon spot!
We just spent a month and a half at this home and it was perfect for us. The pictures are exactly what you get. Clean, comfortable, pretty and nicely decorated with some lovely art pieces. It was a serene environment in an easily accessible back corner unit of a lush, well maintained, friendly complex. Friday morning donuts with tenants was a nice social and a great source of information. Monday-Wed morning aquarobics in the big pool with the ladies also a good time. The unit is really well stocked and complex is walking distance to shopping, happy hours, and across from a nice, life-guarded beach. Bring the chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and fill the cooler for afternoon delight. Two (or 3?) grills just outside the door, feels like the unit has its own private barbecue. Parking space is just steps beyond and the tennis courts just 30 second walk past us. Tropical pool 2 minute walk from condo was perfect for evening swim under the stars. I so miss starting every day on the lanai with my morning coffee, sitting under a canopy of palms and lush bushes dripping brilliant flowers, listening to birdsong. I almost hate to post this because we hope to return same time (and more+) next year and haven't heard back yet about that request..sure hope nobody scoops the time!!
Overall, the location was very good. Close to the beaches and attractions. The grounds were well kept, pools very nice and clean. Very convenient to have the grills at so many different locations. The condo itself had some repair issues. The coffee maker would overflow each day, and the stove was really difficult to use. We knew in advance that one burner didn't work, but it took about 20 minutes for the other burners to heat up. We ended up using the microwave to make our eggs each am (yuk). The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but couldn't find a mixing bowl for salads, or cookie sheet for making pizzas. Great to be able to use the boogie boards, and beach chairs. Love the area, but wouldn't stay in this condo until some of the repairs have been made.
We stayed in Ms.Nicely's condo for a week and it was just right. Bright, very clean, well-decorated, fully set up for ocean vacation. (towels, snorkel/fins, kitchen well-equipped). It is a corner unit so it had an extra window, which eliminated any "closed in" feel in this "walk out" unit. End of row of units gave us a very lovely, quiet setting; the entire complex is beautifully landscaped. Main lanai stayed in shade and cool. Great beach, though not "right there" in front of condo complex- but can walk to via path and then sidewalks (often did)- if carrying a lot of stuff, sometimes better to drive. Shade trees there for grandchild and boardwalk ramp down to beach; good rinse off shower. Surfing beach further north along the road. Lifeguarded beach that had fine wavesand swimming- did have to watch wave conditions over course of day to avoid occasional rough surf that comes in first part of afternoon. Weather pattern means not much rain in this area. Don't miss the 1790 lava flow a few miles south in a reserve, with coves amoungst the lava. Groceries etc. easier by car, as closest market is a long walk. Good surfing beach also a long walk so car much better for that. Is a coffee/shave ice spot for your morning or later walks. This is at southwest corner of island so just realize there is a bit of driving to many of the destinations like Haleakala - good guidebook (2007 Frommers is in living room) and good maps worth reviewing ahead so you don't miss out on nonbeach sites. Note no road east of Kihei to Hana- must go up and around, and there is an unpaved road southwest of Hana that rental cars are not permitted on so you can't do a big loop.
Condo was comfortable with enough space for 3 people and a quiet place that was walking distance to the beach.
My husband and I braught with us our 3 yr old and my 9 month old.. This place was perfect. Was very clean, had everything including a full kitchen, washer & dryer and two bathrooms.. Location was great too. Beach is across the street and a bunch rental places too. close to all sight seeing. About 20 min from airport.. I would definitely recommend this place. planning to go back soon & hoping to stay here again. :)
This was my 4th visit to Maui and 3rd use of Maui Kamaole accommodations, I absolutely love this place and would/will recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Maui. This condo had all needed stuff for a great vacation, the complex has 2 pools and 2 hot tubs and this particular unit, F110, is only a few steps away from what I feel is the better of the 2 pool areas with the hot tub being "grotto" style, love it...my wife and I were here for 3 weeks and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations, quiet, private due to being an end unit, car parking pretty much just outside your door, bar-b-que use, again just outside your door.
Lynanne was very very pleasant to work with in arranging the rental and I will definitely contact her again has my FIRST CHOICE of places to stay on my next visit to Maui, The Valley Isle.
Has this was just my wife and I we were very comfortable in the 1 bedroom unit, however it does sleep 4 if you want to be using the sofa-bed, the unit was quite comfortable for us and we found we only needed/wanted the air conditioning on for a few nights and even then only for a few hours each night.
There are beaches within walking distance if you want to go to the beach as well as several restaurants again within walking distance, I personally would recommend Moose Mcgillicuddys has a place for dinners and watching sports games if that is what you want.
