The influence of the artist who restored La Granja is shown by stunning terraces framed by eucalyptus trees and the original Canarian external staircase. Internally there is a music system,TV, a selection of videos, a library and a games table.
The main house is a spacious 3,000 square feet with high beamed ceilings in the entrance hall, sitting room and dining room. The three bedrooms each have a modern en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen is modern and efficient, with granite worktops, a lovely Belling cooker, a Bosch fridge/freezer and a dishwasher
The walled pool area has multiple tables and a pergola ideal for shaded dining.
The detached studio / games room is equipped with easels and sculpture-stands plus a pool-table and dartboard
This property is a delightful old farmhouse in the centre of the island. It is excellent situated for travel to all points of the island. A car is essential but this can be arranged through the owners and delivered to the house, as they will meet you at the airport. The property mixes old charm with modern convenience with well cited bathrooms and kitchen. Paul is on site in the next door cottage and he can provide excellent BBQs if asked. There are walks and places of interest within easy reach. Do not miss the El Grifo vineyard or the national park covering the areas affected by the main volcanic eruptions. Paul's knowledge of places to eat is also to be tapped into. There is a very good typical restaurant/bar in the village which is highly recommended.

La Granja is a fabulous house, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Although it is very old there are lovely modern bathrooms and kitchen. There is a nice pool and plenty of outside space to eat in or relax under the ancient eucalyptus trees. It is very convenient for Famara beach by car and other attractions are within easy reach. Paul the proprietor was very welcoming and helpful when needed but as his accommodation is separate and self-contained he was completely unobtrusive. There are a good range of shops and places to eat in Tias and the surrounding area. I would recommend La Granja and would love to return as we had such a great holiday there.
La Granja is a traditional Canarian farmhouse which has quietly looked over the village of Montana Blanca, towards the ocean, for more than 200 years. The house lies between Montana Guatisea and Montana Blanca with views of the sea to the West. To the East is the wine growing area of La Geria which adjoins the Timanfaya National Park. One of the best wineries on the island is within walking distance and is well worth a visit.
The village is almost in the middle of Lanzarote allowing easy access to:
- all the amazing buildings, art and sculpture created by Cesar Manrique, the island's wonderful artist and guardian
- the wind-surfing beach at Famara (7 miles) where '2000 years BC' was filmed
- various bathing beaches
- the capital Arrecife (5 miles) and within seven miles the resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and the old capital of Teguise with its Sunday market
- there are two golf courses within eight miles
- a wide choice of excellent restaurants

Golf: Costa Teguise Golf - It is an 18-hole, par 72 par course which ranges in length from 4938 metres to 6,041 metres at its longest.
Course facilities - the course benefits from an excellent clubhouse with a Pro-shop, Restaurant and Coffee Bar.
A full range of equipment is available for hire from half and full sets of clubs through to Golf Buggies.
The course has a resident pro and offers both private and group lessons.
Puerto del Carmen Golf - It is an 18-hole, par 72 course with four par 3's, four par 5's and ten par 4's, with a total length of 6,133 metres.
The course was conceived to appeal to any player regardless of handicap, to enjoy the game on wide fairways and big greens

MAIN house - Price based on 4 persons sharing.
Each additional person sharing the main house is £120 per week up to a maximum of 6.
There will be an additional charge for items supplied locally .e.g. cot/high chair etc, if this is needed please ask when booking.
Payment in full is requested 1 month before arrival after a 25% non refundable is paid to secure the booking, variances on the aforementioned are available upon request.
