Great Lake/mountain getaway
This place is wonderful. It’s off the beaten path of busier lake lure but you still can enjoy a lake at your fingertips and travel to lake lure in 15mins tops. There are also Mountain Views from the neighborhood that are very beautiful too. If you looking for a chill lake/mountain getaway this is your place & there is tons of hiking, wineries, lake lure beach, etc all surrounding.
Had a wonderful time.
Had a great stay grands didn’t want to come home
We are so happy that you all had a great time - we hope that you will come back and visit the mountains again soon!
All Of Our Best,
Coldwell Banker King Vacation Rentals
This is a great place to get away from it all. The view is amazing from the porch. My husband was even able to catch a couple fish in the lake. The beds could use some upgrading in regards to size and mattress quality. Overall this was a nice relaxing vacation.
Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience at Costas Landing. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Serene and relaxing
This home was very clean and well equipped. A few minor issues had to be addressed, however, property manager was prompt in responding. Enjoyed the lake and relaxing on the porch during a few thunderstorms. A nearby neighbor provided a fireworks display on July 4th...didn't have to leave the comfort of the cabin.
Wonderful Cabin in a great location
My family and I have stayed here many times and always enjoy our experience. This is a well maintained cabin on a wonderful spring-fed small lake. This visit to Costas Landing was another great short stay but with a few issues. After what I would consider normal water use for a family of 6, a few days into the stay, the septic overflowed and stunk up the the outside front of the house. We did the best we could to reduce water use to give the septic a chance to recover and it seemed to be ok. Maybe it was just bad timing because we’ve never had this happen on previous stays. The property manager was prompt to return my call and acknowledge my concern. Overall, we were satisfied and plan to return again.
Picturesque and Serene
This area is picturesque and serene. This is a wonderful place to go for some rest and relaxation. We wanted to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and we did just that. Cell service is spotty in the mountains, so this helped us step away from all of the electronics and just re-energize ourselves. The property managers have a nice binder put together for you on the coffee table with all of the checkout procedures and area information in it (restaurants, grocery store, activities, etc.). This home is on a smaller more private lake, however, if you want a different experience Lake Lure is not far at all. We enjoyed the use of the canoe provided at the dock area. The fire pit is great for bonding over s’mores at night or just hanging out during the day. There was some broken glass around the fire pit where someone had broken a beer bottle, so just be careful of that area with little ones and pets. The large deck is great for enjoying a morning cup of coffee and a book. The lower level of the home is open and stocked with games and puzzles for family fun. The pool table in the loft is also a nice touch to the home. The first night we slept in the bedroom on the main level, however after that we switched to the larger bed in the loft. The bed on the main level is a bit worn and uncomfortable. The loft bed is queen size and very comfortable. Our fur baby enjoyed exploring the property and going for walks in the community. He got so excited when dad caught a fish, that he wanted to fish too, lol. Our fur baby did get tuckered out from the steep hills in the area and the steps on the property. The property manager was generous and kind enough to allow our fur baby to stay at the property even though he was over the weight limit by about 8 lbs. Our dog felt very relaxed and at ease here, which is saying a lot because of his anxiety issues. There are movies downstairs to choose from, as well as in the closet before heading up to the loft. There is also some in the drawers of the TV stand in the main level bedroom. We took our Xbox one for watching Netflix too. Overall, we had a great experience at this property and with the property managers. We would definitely recommend this property for family fun.
Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience at Costas Landing. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again next time. Thank you for mentioning the broken glass and I am sorry that we had missed that during the pre-inspection. I will make sure to remove the glass from the fire pit area asap.
