Hi. I’m Gabriella. I 'm born in 1965 and I am an architect by profession.I personal renovated my home .
In my free time, I enjoy films, music, art shows and travel. I love Lucca it is the best place for jogging or cycling atop the famous walls that surround the city. I love to entertain so my kitchen is well equipped for families or for dinner parties.
For the past three years, I have rented my home during the summer months. The rest of the year, I live here with my 2 lovely children Fillippo and Federica who were born in 1999 and in 2001. I was born and grew up in this charming and quiet town. Lucca is full of history and so easy to manage with or without a car. Everyone who visits falls in love with Lucca. I enjoy showing my tenants the most beautiful and interesting places surrounding Lucca. You can easily visit famous Tuscany cities like Florence by train or bus. The charming, historic mountain villages nearby are also worth a visit. Check out the comments by those who have stayed in one or more of the properties I manage: I'm helping my friends in holiday rentals and I'm usually think at all.
I will do my best to make your holiday unforgettable and comfortable
To know more, you can find me on facebook
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my insider knowledge of Lucca and the surrounding area.
gabriella purchased this apartment in 1996
Because, as most of my guest told me, you will really feel at home and will appreciate having a drink or dinner in terrace on sunset!
The furniture is nice and simple. You're in the heart of Lucca and all you need is at few steps from here.
even if up, terraces are really amazing and breathtaking! Everyone who arrives for the first time are impressed! Guinigi's Tower is in front of you, the moon too during the night !
terraces open up to a 360° view of the entire city and breathe in the atmosphere.
We stayed for a week in the lovely apartment of Gabriella. What an experience! We had the best time and Gabriella was so helpful, pointing out great places to visit. We will all come back and spend some more time the fantastic city of Lucca. We cannot recommend thid enough, want to back for next summer :)
Just like being at home. View fm rooftop terrace of mountains and roof tops is awesome. Kitchen well equipped. Must be reasonably fit as the apartment starts after a climb of 3 flights of stairs. 2story terrace is another 2 flights. Absolutely worth it if you have the legs. (I am 72 and did the climb numerous times daily).
We stayed at Gabriella's apartment for 27 nights! Loved Lucca and absolutely loved this spacious, beautifully decorated apartment. It has everything you can possibly want. Gorgeous bathrooms, huge Italian kitchen and enough privacy throughout the home for everyone. The absolute coup is the patio above all of Lucca. Best view of the city and surrounding countryside. The photos exactly depict each room. We couldn't ask for a more gracious, generous hostess. Gabriella supplied everything we could possibly need or want. Put this apartment on the top of your list even if your group doesn't need all the space it provides. It has it all!!
We stayed in Gabriella's lovely home for 10 nights, getting to know Lucca from this fantastic hub. The location is perfect, on a quiet street close to everything including a grocery store, butcher, bar (cafe) and many restaurants. Gabriella is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful.
The best thing about our stay was the terrace. We spent mornings drinking coffee watching the city awake and the evenings basking in incredible sunsets. It's truly special.
The second best thing was the kitchen. We were able to cook in many nights and I loved it. The kitchen is very well appointed and old-worldly.
The house was clean and well-maintained. The pictures don't actually do it justice. I've stayed in many rental properties and some of them feel very staged. Gabriella's house is far more personal and charming. The upstairs area is like its own little apartment, making it a perfect place for 2 couples traveling together. The windows are huge and the furnishings are comfortable.
We rented a car but really, you don't need one. Many destinations are easily (if not easier) reached by train. We drove to Barga for a lovely day excursion and stopped at a winery recommended by Gabriella on the way back. She has great restaurant recommendations. It's also very easy to spend your entire day just hanging out in Lucca, walking the wall, shopping, etc.
A few house tips: the stairs are many, including the ones up to the house and inside the house. It wasn't a negative for us, just something to be aware of. Also, read up on italian washing machines, it's easy to google. Gabriella has written instructions but it was helpful to us to know a bit more.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to a friend and hope to return soon myself.
We had a wonderful 2 week visit in Lucca staying at this incredible two storey plus rooftop balcony apartment. It is very well appointed and well kept with a everything you need in the kitchen and modern bathrooms . The owner is lovely and was very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Almost every evening we had our wine on the rooftop terrace which overlooks the city.
Lucca is very well located to do day trips and we did a few although we enjoyed sightseeing in Lucca itself: circumnavigating the 4 km wall, museums, concerts, shopping, and a visit to a local vineyard.
The flat is on the 3rd and 4th floor (therefore the rooftop terrace) so be prepared for that.
We highly recommend this place to stay.
We stayed at Gabriella's apartment in the heart of Lucca for 1 week and count't have had a better time. We are a family of five and there was ample space for us to live comfortably with 3 modern bathrooms plus a wonderful kitchen. It is located just off the beautiful Piazza dell' Anfiteatro and the spacious private roof terrace was the highlight of the stay- many meals spent overlooking the city. Gabriella was a gracious host and helpful with any questions we had. We've stayed in various apartments in Italy and could not recommend this more.
I stayed in this lovely apartment in Lucca for a week with 5 other adult family members and enjoyed everything it had to offer. We cooked many meals in the well equipped kitchen, had great laundry space, and a deck that was breathtaking.
It is in the walls of Lucca and has easy access to the whole walled town.
We happened to be there when the spring music festival was going on and we were able to enjoy it both from restaurants in the plaza and from our rooftop deck.
Lucca is definitely on my lists of towns to visit again and this is the place that is on the top of my list to rent again.

We are in the heart of the city of Lucca behind the famous Amphitheater square , in addition to Guinigi Tower, just around the old fruit market Carmine, surrounded by shops, butchers, baker's and typical products. You can jog along the nearby walking walls of Lucca, a 4 km road surrounded by plane trees, where you can admire the mansions and the streets of down town, the botanical garden as Piazza San Martino and Lucca Cathedral. In the amazing hills around the city there is amazing country places and important wineries (Valgiano, S. Martino in Vignale Matraia) along the wellknowed wine street. Just 20minutes drive far from Lucca you can reach the beach and visit Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and Pietrasanta (artistic marble city) famous for nightlife, restaurants and designer shops. Within 20 minutes by train or by car you are in Pisa and in one hour (better by bus/train) you are in Florence. You can also visit Garfagnana, Barga (medieval village famous on August for jazz festival), Borgo a Mozzano (Devil's bridge) or Bagni di Lucca thermals . In an hour you'll reach by train the amazing and charming 'CinqueTerre' in Liguria!!! The distance from my home to the station is 10 minutes walk ...
