About Mari Beerman
Hi, we are retired and living in Nashville, TN. My partner and I live in a little cabin on the Stones River in Nashville. Our Airbnb is in a historic building in a neighboring village near Old Hickory Lake. We love the water and nature and all things "real". Our style is very relaxed and comfortable ... a little eclectic, and fun. We are new to hosting for Airbnb and are hoping to learn from our guests how we can make our location one that you will want to come back to time and again.
Why Mari Beerman chose Old Hickory
We are located in NE Nashville, just 20 minutes from the heart of downtown. In this area you will find fishing, boating, a beach, a waterpark, golfing, shopping malls and flea markets. This one bedroom apt. is roomy and comfortable and the community is quaint with a coffee shop around the corner and a karaoke bar just across the way. Bring a small fishing boat if you like ... we have room. A quiet place to come home to after a day or evening of adventure in spectacular Nashville, TN.
What makes this Apartment unique
Hi, and welcome to Old Hickory Village. There are some really great things to do that are very close by. If you like being in or near the water, you can take a 15 minute ride over to Nashville Shores water park ….. Great fun for all ages, or if you simply want to enjoy a great meal and just be near the water, I would recommend Sams at Turtle Bay, the local Marina. If you like to just relax on a beach and catch some rays, we have a little park just down the road. If fishing is your thing, we have some great places for that as well, really close by. General Jackson’s Home “The Hermitage” is just down the street about 10 minutes away for those who enjoy history and historic homes. For you Flea Market lovers ….. You are in luck !! Right in Old Hickory there are two really great ones. H&H flea Market on Hadley and a few more minutes down the road is Phoenix Flea Mkt. …… One of the best in Nashville. If you want to get some Golfing in we have several courses just minutes away, and one is an award winning course that is very popular (check out the photos on my airbnb site). The closest Shopping Mall is the Rivergate Mall, which is about 10 minutes away, but if you don’t mind a 20 minute drive you can go to the famous OpryMills Mall, which is situated by the Opryland Hotel, the Grand Ole Opry and the General Jackson Riverboat. A scenic drive along our Old Hickory Shoreline will give you a different look at this little community. (Directions) Turn left at the front of the building and make an immediate left turn at the corner. When you come to the stop sign turn right on to Hadley. Look for 8thAve. on the left. Take 8th to where it dead ends in to Riverside Drive. Turn right and follow Riverside all the way to Dabbs Ave. Turn left on Dabbs and left again on 22nd. Turn right onto Riverside. It will end you up back on Old Hickory Blvd. You will pass the Marina along the way. There are too many great restaurants in Nashville to mention, but if you want to eat locally, here are
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
Lovely little place
This place is cute and comfy and has just about everything you could need for your stay. It's a super quiet area, but really not too far from Nashville at all.
Fabulous Comfortable Apartment
Our stay in Mari's apartment was perfect. She provides all the necessary comforts that make you feel as if you are at home, well stocked kitchen, bathroom, a comfortable bed with extra pillows, and livingroom with comfy furniture and a great TV for the hubby's entertainment in the evenings. The apartment is a short drive outside of Nashville but convenient to many of the sightseeing adventures not in downtown Nashville that you will want to see during your stay.
Definitely check out Sam's at the Marina just a five minute drive away, the food and service was fabulous, we ate there two times during our stay.
The neighborhood is quiet and very clean, a hidden gem. It was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville at the end of the day.
Mari checked in with us during our 8 day stay to make sure we had all the necessary items such as toilet paper and extra towels. She was a wonderful host.
If we ever come back to Nashville we will definitely try to book Mari's place for our stay. I have already passed word to some of our friends and family to plan a trip and stay at Mari's place.

Loved our stay, and would do it again! Such a sweet set-up..everything we needed! Clean, great bed, love your decor and the small town friendliness...only drawback were the steps but I guess I need to get in better shape and after a few days, it wasn't so bad! Just watched a comedian last night on Netflix that was born and raised there....it was a hoot to listen to him! Go to the marina...perfect stop for everyone!!!
alittle get away
very nice quite and clean
Mari is a great host and the property is delightful. We will recommended this place to our friends. We hope to stay there again!

Thank you so much for the very nice review. It just makes me so happy to know that you two enjoyed the space. You are certainly welcome back at any time.
Very clean and well stocked
Good location but stairs were steep and presented a small problem with luggage.
Hi Ken thank you for leaving the apartment so clean. The stairs could be a little steep for some but this is the very first time I have had anyone mention it. Fortunately it is only in the coming and the going that you have to deal with luggage and you were there for a whole week. I hope you enjoyed Nashville. You are welcome to come back anytime.
