More than disappointing experience
This was my first time in Punta Cana and I took a couple of weeks to choose a rental I felt would be perfect. I'll keep this short and only touch on the high level issues.
The hot water heater didn't work in our rental (they knew this a day in advance but didn't bother to tell us) and they wanted to wait until the next day to fix it to which we said no as we needed to shower after traveling for hours. There was an adjacent rental that we could have moved to but they convinced us they would fix the current rental.
There was no hair dryer in the rental and I had to get on a video call with them to prove that no bathroom had a hair dryer as I was attempting to get ready for dinner. I was told they'd bring one the next day and wouldn't bring one then. They brought one the next morning.
The hot water didn't actually ever start to work.
The water pressure would go in and out and then eventually just stop at some points.
The next day we asked to be moved. They said they'd move us while we were out for breakfast.
When we returned to the new rental we found that the oven was not connected and was sitting in the middle of the kitchen.
We also found out that the AC in the living room did not work.
I decided to get online and find a new rental in a different building because we were a day and a half into our trip and had spent the whole time messaging the rental and having people just casually walk into our rental without knocking (while in my underwear).
The cost of this place was three times the amount of others that were just as nice and had all amenities working.
Most of this building wasn't done being built so there was construction everywhere.
This wasn't portrayed in their posting and showed only marketing photos that made this place look amazing.
There was also no concierge which was portrayed in their online posting.
Fortunately I was able to get a refund for the nights I didn't stay but was charged a bunch of fees and was ultimately out almost two nights worth.
This rental also charges for electricity which amounted to quite a bit of money (half of one night's stay). The other places I found did not charge for electricity and were a much better deal for the value.
I absolutely would not recommend staying here and encourage you to look around for other rentals in the area.
Clean condo with lots of room
The Beach and the people were the best.. Rental conditions NO clear.
I traveled to Punta Cana with my family just for 5 days, the Beach is really amazing, you can see it from the kitchen, dinning room and the living room. The apartment have a big balcony. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the decoration and details are appropriate for the place. The building is quite new and the pool is nice. The property has beach loungers and beach towels. You can find restaurants, pharmacy and mini markets just minutes walk. Same staff can scheduled local transfer to other places and tours, but you can find better prices with beach sellers. The only thing I do not like is THEY CHARGE YOU THE PRICE OF THE ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION ADDITIONALLY TO THE COST OF THE STAY AND IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE ($0.35 PER KW). I PAID $140 PER JUST 5 DAYS!!!!.. considering that I live in Miami in a house with 4 rooms (2000 Sqft aprox) with the AC on all day and I have never paid more than $ 300 PER MONTH..
great vistas, very secure, friendly staff all around. Plenty of eat out options and a place to buy food should you wish to cook inside.
