Very nice couples spot to enjoy the view and lake activites-So many things to do in this Area.
We enjoyed our beautiful view of Lake Owasco, the geese flying overhead and landing in the lake. We took the kayak out for a spin one morning and even took a quick dip. The accommodations were perfect, Rodney and Carmella let us know everything we needed to know and made it a great stay. Thanks! We'd love to return.

The space is charming, cozy, perfect for one or two people, and in a beautiful setting: all the appliances are sparkling new and the entire place meticulously clean and neat. The view out the windows is spectacular: because the space is a small upstairs apartment, and the whole residence is on a steep hillside fronting the water, nothing comes between you and the lake: you look right across the water to the beautiful wooded hills beyond. Inside the apartment, I'd have liked more ways to get indirect lighting: there's a little bedside lamp, but other than that, the only lighting is the overheads. A tea kettle and a small-sized cooking pot would also be nice, but I got along OK with the pots and pans that are provided in the kitchen. There is some ice already made in the freezer, but some ice-cube trays would be nice as well. Still, the owners make sure there is coffee (free) and wine (for sale) stocked, so people who arrive late can relax over a nice glass of wine when they get in and start the morning with a cup of coffee without having to head out to find supplies. I was there in crisp autumn weather, and it was easy to keep the place a nice warm temperature when I wanted it to be--and at night, when I like to have the place very cool but have lots of blankets, I could do that: blankets in the closet, temperature easily adjustable. When I was there, I couldn't connect to the WiFi, and I couldn't get the TV to work--but I mostly read anyway (don't even like TV), and didn't mind driving to Auburn to use the internet.
The only reason I didn't give the space five stars is that one of the reasons I wanted to get away is because I live in an apartment and I wanted to get away from "neighbor noise." Rod and Carm were great about making sure I had my privacy--but I could hear the doors to their part of the house banging as they went in and out after running errands. One day they were out but I stayed in, and I heard their small dog (not the big, sweet golden lab of the photos) barking for hours. Once they were in and settled, I didn't hear anything, so it's not as if there are sound-proofing issues inside the space itself, but I was hoping for a complete absence of any noise other than my own and what nature provides. But truly, that issue was minor. If you're like most people and plan to spend your days off exploring the area and don't spend days at "home," you won't even notice--and you'll give the place five stars, I'm sure.
Rodney and Carm are great! The cabin was exactly as listed and so much more! The view are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset! The campfire is nice and was lit and ready for our arrival! Its a great location and the set up is great. It was the perfect amount of space for two people and the kitchen access was great. The cabin is close to Fillmore Glen which is great for hiking and many wineries are a short 30 minute drive away. The fall colors were gorgeous at this time of year. The use of the kayaks was also a wonderful way to spend part of our stay. Definitely recommend, the quality and value cannot be beat!
My husband and I stayed at this lovely apartment for our anniversary. Rodney and Carm were very nice and gave us plenty of privacy. We were very comfy and the place was well kept and very clean. The views were unbelievably beautiful. I could see the lake if I sat up in back. We used the available Kayaks and did an 8 mile trip into the flats and back. Many hibernating geese and other water fowl. We did lots of day trips to Skaneateles, Auburn Cayuga, Seneca Falls. We had dinner at Deerheads on Cayuga Lake. Don't let the name fool you. The place was lovely with a view of Cayuga Lake.
Don't miss Filmore State Park for a hike to the Gorge (waterfall)and Dam. Carpenter Falls was also nearby and worth the .01 hike to the falls Just be carefull....trail is very steep and hard to get to.
Wonderful time. Weather was perfect....would truly go back again.
We came to the Fingers Lakes for a week stay. We had been born and raised in upstate N.Y but had lived the last 15 years in Tennessee. We have stayed in many rental properties over the years and this rates at the very top where we have stayed. You couldn't ask for any better hosts than Rod and Carmella. The cottage was immaculate and so very well stocked and supplied and for people who like to cook it was most welcome.
The view from the cottage is breathtaking and we took so many beautiful pictures ..specially of the sunsets.
This cottage is as advertised and much more. We had the use of kayaks and a paddle boat and a canoe and rowboat and many stairs to keep you in shape. And for us animal lovers Socks and Sasha were great hosts also.
We would recommend this rental to anyone and have already to our friends that still live in N.Y One of the best!!! Thanks again Rod and Carmella!!

Came up to the Finger Lakes for the first time to stay for a few days with my girlfriend. The pictures do not do this place justice! The room was immaculately clean, well-stocked, and beautifully finished using wood from a 100 year old barn by Rodney, the owner. We spent the days kayaking and swimming in the lake; hiking the gorge and swimming in the waterfalls at nearby Robert H. Treman State Park; and grilling and drinking wine on the deck while watching the sun set over the lake. Rodney truly has a gem of a place, and it was cheaper than the motel that we stayed at for a wedding in nearby Ithaca!
