Interested in a vacation on the Big Island in a quiet and reasonably priced, fully equipped large modern condo with: beautiful ocean views, a short walk to Kailua Village for restaurants & shops, and a small beach across the street? This 3 bedroom/2 bath luxury condo is located in the gated Alii Cove Condominium complex in Kailua-Kona and is a short walking distance from delicious ocean front dining, shopping, and coffee shops for that morning brew. The condo is across the street from Honl's Beach, and has sights of cruise ships when moored in Kailua Bay. In addition, the condo has a tropical theme and a lovely lanai for outside dining with ocean views. You will also have access to the complex facilities including workout gym, pool, wading pool, spa, and barbeques.
This three bedroom two bath unit is appoximately 1324 ft2 in size and is located upstairs in a four-unit building. It is in the first line of condominium buildings facing Alii Drive that have ocean views that do not look over parking lots and other apartments. The condo is near the pool/exercise complex & barbeques. The view from the lanai is wonderful, you can hear and see the ocean, and the sunsets are beautiful! The condominium includes a fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, granite counters, oven/stovetop, refrigerator, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, glasses & cups, knife-block, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, energy efficient lighting, and portable iPod player and bar seating. The separate dining area has seating for six. The family room features a 55” flat screen HD TV, Digital Cable with DVD player and a hide-a-bed sofa. Wi-Fi also is available. The master bedroom features a California King-sized bed and flat screen TV and DVD player, plus ocean views and a door offering lanai access. It also features a walk-in closet and an adjoining vanity with double sinks, toilet and a large shower. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has 2 double beds. A second large bathroom is situated between the second and third bedrooms and includes a tub/shower combination. There is also a washer and dryer within the condo for your use. There are two convenient parking spaces near the unit, one covered.
There is central A/C in this condo, but it is expensive to run because of the very high cost of electricity on the big island. So, we encourage everyone to be energy efficient and to adjust to the tropical weather by fully using the ocean sea breezes through doors & windows day & night, and to use the ceiling fans. However, it is okay to use the A/C, but there will be an extra charge based on an electricity use allotment of $200 per month (some others charge an extra $10/day if the A/C is used).
Alii Cove HOA rules do not allow condos to be rented for periods less than 30 nights. Depending on stay dates the special rates for this condo are between $3200 and $3800 a month plus Hawaii tax of 13.42% and a cleaning fee of $160. To check availability, review the calendar. We also require a $500 security deposit at the time the unit is reserved. At that time, we will send you instructions via email on getting into the gated complex, how to get the keys, etc.

This is a peaceful and relaxing 'home' in Paradise with modern conveniences and beautiful ocean views. We also love its walking proximity to Kailua Village which has great cafes for that morning coffee, shopping, dining and nice beach areas. Honl's Beach is less than a 5 minute walk from the condo. Once at the condo you can park your car and walk into town along the ocean in about 10 minutes or ride the seasonal tram or drive to great snorkeling & some of the most beautiful beaches within 15 minutes. The feeling is very laid back and the people are wonderful. The Big Island offers a lot of variety, so much to see and do!
A combination of a roomy, quiet condo with modern conveniences, great ocean views, close walking distance to Kailua Village with shopping & dining, sand & surfing at Honl's Beach....

We were just far enough from town to avoid race noise and close enough to walk, just perfect. Oh, and you have now housed an Ironman World Champion (25-29 male) IMKona 2016, so your condo may bring good luck to future guests on race day too! Mahalo.
Traveling to Hawai'i every year for a good length of time really makes you want to feel comfortable and relaxed where ever it is you're staying. This condo felt like my home away from home! It is very clean and nicely decorated. The furniture and beds are comfortable! The kitchen has all of the dishes, pots and pans, etc that I needed for cooking. The pool, gym and BBQ area are just steps away from the condo! You can view the ocean from the lanai! Town is walking distance for eating, drinking, and sight seeing! The owners were responsive to all of my questions leading up to arrival and made me feel as if I was going to walk into my own home! I definitely will be back again and have already recommended this condo to all of my friends and family who talk about vacationing in Hawai'i!

Having vacationed at Alii Cove 3 years in a row, we definitely hit the jackpot with this unit! It's location is the best - pool, barbecues & easy access to walk to town make it our No. 1 choice by far. The only thing lacking was a cute pool boy to serve us drinks but even that wasn't so bad as we were just steps from the pool. Not many Canadians know about the Big Island and they just don't know what they're missing - it's much more reasonable, the weather so consistent, the whales and spinner dolphins provide endless entertainment - what can I say - it's the best! Book now, you won't regret it!
While one of the closest condos at Alii Cove to the gym, BBQ and pool area, this condo is quiet and peaceful. All that you hear most nights is the peaceful sound of the ocean, that is except for the occasional loud party at the surfer shack just outside the complex. We use silicon ear plugs on those few nights and that works well! With a beautiful banyan tree as part of the view, we found the views of the ocean on either side of it quite nice. The condo is very nicely furnished, kitchen has everything you need, beds are comfortable, and the owners are nice and helpful. After staying at several other complexes, we have been coming back to Alii Cove for quite a few years staying in three different units. Unlike the other two units, this one seems cooler and we never used the air conditioner. I have to say, this one is our favorite! We're coming back!
We agree with the other reviews written about this condo and its wonderful owners. Ali'i Cove is a wonderful, quiet, complex with a mixture of full-time and vacation families and groups. The amenities in the complex are fine and the condo itself is well-maintained and beautifully appointed. We stayed during some of the hottest weather of the year. We had to use the A/C far more than we wanted, but it worked quite well and made the stay that much more enjoyable. We walked to town multiple times. The restaurants and other businesses close by are quite good. We had a rental car and used the condo as our base of explorations of the whole island. We had thought we might do some island hopping, but the Big Island just has too much to do to take anything out of a 30-day vacation! The owners' goodies we found on arrival and especially their written recommendations on restaurants, beaches, and snorkeling were spot on! The view from the lanai is beautiful and includes one well-placed tree that blocks the cruise ships from view when they are docked. Sunsets were very enjoyable. Highly recommended!
The Alii Cove Gated community is a quiet, beautiful development located across the street from the popular surfing Honl's beach and a short walking distance from Kailua village with many bars, restaurants, shops and other attractions. Alii Cove features a pool/spa and wading pool plus a barbeque area with chairs/tables and workout room for guests staying on the premises.
Alii Cove rules require a minimum 30 day rental. Our condo is a non-smoking unit. Security deposit of $500.00 is due to hold rental. First payment (50% of total) due 60 days before date. Balance including all fees($175) & taxes are due 30 days prior to arrival. Electricity allowance is $200.00 & anything over is renters responsibility and will be deducted from the security deposit based on bill.
