Easy access to the island connector bridge allows you to bypass the heavy traffic on Palm Blvd and Wild Dunes.
The house sits on a professionally landscaped double lot which offers panoramic views of the ocean and features an open floor plan allowing for an abundance of natural sunlight. The master bedroom has a king bed and private bathroom. Both the master bedroom and living room open to a screen porch with spectacular ocean views. A second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two double beds with an adjacent full bathroom. The large screen porch faces the ocean and is perfect for enjoying the sea breeze or for entertaining your guests. Numerous palm and oak trees surround the home for privacy from the adjacent neighbors.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, luxury linens, bath and beach towels, beach chairs, flat screen tvs, dvds, games, indoor bluetooth speaker, and wireless secure internet. The patio offers an easy dining option with a seating area and gas grill. And after a day in the sun you can refresh yourself in the outdoor shower.

My wife Mary and I are fortunate enough to spend the winter and spring seasons in Isle of Palms. For the remainder of the year we rent our beach house. We have been blessed with many wonderful guests and that is what makes it so rewarding for us to share our home.

This place was PERFECT! While the pictures are accurate, they really don't do this charming house justice.
This kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. But really the star was the screened in porch! This vacation week was focused on relaxation and the porch provided this without any work what so ever. Coffee and breakfast in the mornings with the sun rising and lingering into the mid morning when the decision had to be made...linger a little longer or walk down the private boardwalk to the beach? IN the evenings, when we returned back from golf or being a tourist (How fabulous is the Deep South and Charleston for history buffs!) we would eat on the porch and then play cards late into the evening as the ocean breeze keep us cool.
Mary was easy to communicate with and very friendly and accommodating. I have worried that Hurricane Matthew may have done some damage to the house....I hope not, because I intends to return to this small slice of heaven.
We could not have asked for more in a beach rental. The house was spotless and made us feel like they were at home. The kitchen was stocked with basics like aluminum foil, bags, paper towels, etc. Bug spray was on the counter to protect from the local mosquitoes. I can go on and on :)
The space was perfect for our family to relax and as others noted, the screened-in porch was ideal for the setting and allowed our young son to have plenty of space to wander around.
In addition to the many amenities, we were right on the beach, and a few steps away from a great grocery store. When we ready to stretch out legs, we were extremely close to the many restaurants in the Sullivan's Island downtown area, just around the corner from 517 to Mt. Pleasant, and under a 20 minute ride to Charleston.
Mary was extremely attentive to our needs throughout the trip; sending messages during the week to confirm everything was going well.
Overall, I highly recommend.
This lovely beachhouse is beautifully decorated from the linens, furniture, light fixtures, lamps...everything! The huge screened in porch always had a breeze blowing through it and plenty of comfy chairs and a couch to nap in...large table and chairs for playing games or eating too. The rooms inside were large and had plenty of closet and drawer space. The walkway to the beach was a wooden sidewalk almost all the way down unlike some other houses we saw. Beach chairs and towels were provided, lots of beach toys too. The outdoor shower was handy for washing sand off at the end of the day. Large refridgerator to hold our food and a nice quiet dishwasher. The location was so close to Mt. Pleasant and Charleston for trips to restaurants or sightseeing. The neighborhood is quiet and 2 minutes from a grocery store, dentist, church and frozen yogurt.

Having spent many vacations in Hilton Head over the years, and knowing a bit about Charleston, we thought we would try something new this year and rented this wonderful home in Isle of Palms. We did this as a family trip, including our 19 month old grandson.
We had a fabulous time, and enjoyed staying at this very nice, clean and comfortable home, furnished with everything you will need. Despite being a wonderful home away from home, the location is superb. A wonderful beach is right out the back door, and a large number of great restaurants are nearby, including those on Sullivans Island (a little more than 5 minutes up the main road). And if you want to spend some time in the old city in Charleston, you can be there in 20 minutes, traveling across a new state of the art bridge that is fascinating to look at.
Best of all, the little guy's first beach vacation was a big hit for him, as the beach is big, beautiful, safe, and "user friendly".
We would not hesitate to do it again, and strongly recommend this property. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more cooperative, and made it not only a no-hassle experience, but a very enjoyable one. Mary and Bill, thanks for everything.
Every year for the past nine, we have rented a place in Isle of Palms for a week toward the later part of August. And, every year we have tried a different place, that is, until this year. We enjoyed 2004 Palm Blvd. so much last year, we couldn't resist returning. The location is perfect. Easy access to the beach (priority no. 1), The Connector to Downtown, Harrison Teeter shopping and restaurants in Sullivan's Island and IOP, notably Coda del Pesce. We arrived late on a Saturday just in time to unpack and get ready for dinner at Coda. Unfortunately, the A/C was not working properly. With the temperature in the 90's, as it has been pretty much all summer, we called the owners who told us to go enjoy our dinner and they would seek to have the A/C problem resolved. When we returned to the house from dinner, it was cool and comfortable and continued to be for the duration of our stay. We couldn't ask more of our owners. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. In our experience, no host has been as attentive or as thoughtful. It was another perfect week.
My family stayed at Mary's home the week of July 18, 2016. The pictures online were an accurate description of the house itself. The home was very clean and is nicely decorated. The master bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. The other two bedrooms are nice as well. The towels were great as well as the bedding. The kitchen has everything you need as far as silverware, plates, cups, pots and pans, etc. There is an outdoor porch with a lot of furniture and ceiling fans. We spent almost every night out on the porch. The house also has several beach items to use such as a wagon to pull your things, beach chairs, water toys and other items.
The boardwalk to the beach is easy to use. The beach itself is fantastic. The stretch of beach where the house is located is more private that either ends of the beach. The area of beach is clean and fun for the family. Either ends of the beach where the hotels are are more crowded and a little less clean. One item I would definitely recommend bringing is some form of pop up tent to use on the beach. There is a nice breeze on the beach however the the sun can get hot. The tent saved us on our beach days.
One thing I loved about the house is you feel like you are truly on an island away from the world when you are at the house and on the beach. However, you are only a half a mile or so away from restaurants and a grocery store (Harris Teeter). A few miles over the connector you have a Target, movie theater and other stores. You are also very close to Sullivan's Island which also has great restaurants. We took day trips to Charleston and Patriots Point (for the Naval enthusiasts). One morning we also went to Boone Hall Plantation. If needed, you are close to an Urgent Care and several pharmacies. If you are looking for some great ice cream I would recommend Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream and Sandwich Cafe in Mt. Pleasant.
Mary is very nice and easy to reach during your stay. There were a couple of maintenance issues with the boardwalk (nothing that kept us from using it) but I wanted Mary to know so I just sent her a couple of text messages and she was very responsive.
I would highly recommend this property! I had never been to South Carolina before so Mary's house made the experience that much more wonderful. I am looking to returning to South Carolina and Mary's house for future vacations!
Isle of Palms is a beautiful, family-oriented beachfront community located just 20 minutes from Charleston and the airport. Charleston was voted top city in the US the last 3 years in a row by Conde Nast. Downtown King St ranks among the top 10 shopping streets in the US, as well as several world class restaurants. Visit historic plantations, museums and tours and learn about its 300 year history. Many cultural events and festivals take place on the famous Marion Square. Within 5 miles is Mt Pleasant Towne Center with over 65 national and local brand shops. Located on the island is the world renowned Wild Dunes Resort, home of the Links and Harbor Cruise golf courses.
