Asheville Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Brand New, European Design, In Historic Building Downtown, Walk Everywhere

Welcome to Asheville!

The short story

Loft living with a view of downtown roofs and mountains in the distance: it doesn't get any better than this! Seven hundred square feet with a separate bedroom and sleek bathroom, modern kitchen and lovely living space on the second floor of the brand new remodeled Rankin Press building in the middle of downtown. All the character of a historic building (original exposed brick walls and hardwood floors, high ceilings) combines with stylish, modern amenities (stainless appliances, modern bathroom, washer/dryer, elevator, chic street entrance) to give you the most comfortable life in Asheville. Step outside and you are in the middle of everything: the culinary, shopping and art mecca of Asheville. Step inside and you are in a quiet, secluded urban hideaway. Secure off street parking available right across from your front door in city operated parking deck. Designated loading bay by front door for easy arrival and departure. Sleeps 2 to 4 in comfortable, clean and quiet luxury.

Let us tell you a little more

Come experience the luxe and quiet of our spacious loft in the heart of downtown. Furnished and decorated with a European design sense, modern yet warm and inviting, you will start relaxing the minute you step inside. Everything is designed for your comfort. Clean, peaceful and perfectly outfitted: our loft has everything for the discerning traveler. Spend the day eating, drinking and making merry, or spend it rafting, hiking and playing (you can store your road or mountain bikes in our building). Then come back to your centrally located loft, rest, put your feet up, and get ready to go out again into the vibrant nightlife of Asheville. There is a restaurant with a James Beard Award nominated chef on the corner of your street (Table); his den of mixology, with out-of-this-world cocktails, is one flight of stairs up from there (The Imperial Life). Or how about a loungey bar for chocolate lovers, with wine, of course, but also handmade bonbons and spectacular deserts so good that the line often stretches out the door (French Broad Chocolate Lounge)? Walk down the street and around the corner, and you're there. You are also next door to the south's finest shoe store with its 300 brands and staff of personal shoppers (Tops for Shoes). Those are just a few of the many, many fun things to do in asheville. You can catch a play at the Asheville Community Theatre or a movie at the Fine Arts cinema. Or how about a leisurely stroll to the River Arts District, to visit artists in their studios and have a beer at The Wedge? Speaking of beer, famous local artisanal beers and their brewers are calling your name! See what's brewing and sample what's new at the many downtown bars and breweries. Watch the sun set on Cold Mountain at Asheville's highest elevation bar (The Sky Bar). Go hear a live band at the famous Orange Peel. Take a Pilates or yoga class and have a spa treatment. So many things to do, so much to see. You can go days without using your car, which is safely and affordably parked, off street, right across from your front door.

About Claudia Konijn

Our loft is brand new, and we are very proud of it. We are Ricardo (born in Colombia, entrepreneur and business owner) and Claudia (born in Holland, writer and interior designer). We moved to Asheville 12 years ago, after traveling and living all over the world, and we love our town! It is a wonderful place to raise our family and we would love to share its fun and rewarding experiences with you. Asheville has everything: stunning natural beauty surrounding it, vibrant culture, great food, distinctive architecture, interesting people, a relaxed and safe pace, and so many things to do, see, taste and enjoy that you will want to stay longer. We are both deeply involved in the local community and know the restaurateurs, artists, micro brewers, outdoor enthusiasts (or Pilates teachers, massage therapists, chocolatiers, zipliners,) that you want to meet. We look forward to welcoming you!

Why Claudia Konijn chose Asheville

We had our eye on this building for a long time. It housed the Rankin Press, a historical Asheville business, and has a real urban appeal. It is beautifully situated and we were very excited when we heard it would be renovated for mixed residential and commercial use. Our block is so vibrant and has so much to offer; shops, restaurants, bars, a salon, a brewery, residential apartments, galleries. But our loft is away from the street and offers complete quiet and seclusion, in the middle of downtown! Truly the best of all worlds.

What makes this apartment unique

Our loft has the beauty of a historic building: original wooden floors, exposed brick walls, high ceilings. But it is modern at the same time, and very easy to live in. What is most attractive about it is the sense of privateness and retreat that you get when you step inside. We love spending time here!

Great condo in a terrific location

  • 5 of 5

Condo was right downtown in the middle of everything. It was exactly as pictured, very clean, and met or exceeded all our expectations.

Claudia checked with us several times during our stay to make sure everything was well and that we were enjoying ourselves. Definitely will stay here again next time we come

Perfect location and owner was amazing!

  • 5 of 5

I travel to Asheville often, decided to try VRBO instead of a hotel this time and was not disapointed. Found this great loft and it was great!

Claudia was so prompt and detailed with all communication it made the experience even better.

The loft is beautifully decorated and the location could not have been better. We actually decided to cook a late dinner in one night and it had everything we needed.

Claudia checked on us throughout the stay and made the experience enjoyable.

I would stay here again for sure!!

Fabulous light-filled,modern loft in downtown Asheville, North Carolina

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had a totally wonderful time during our stay in Asheville. Needless to say, we found Asheville everything we hoped for, and found

Claudia's loft more than we hoped for! Wonderfully located in a clean, modern building, the loft is within walking distance of all the

shops and restaurants that make Asheville unique.

The loft itself was full of light, spotless, and equipped with everything to make one's stay a pleasure. And importantly, even though

situated in the downtown area, there was total quiet in the loft, both day and night. Another convenience, should one have a car is that

there are a number of parking garages right on the corner, so one doesn't have to travel to either garage or pick up the car. Claudia's

information about the apartment itself(which she both emailed us and had ready for us on the dining table) was totally helpful. She

even took the time to recommend various restaurants and coffee shops in the area. If one doesn't choose to make coffee in the

morning, you can go downstairs, and about 5 feet away is a very cool coffee shop!

Claudia herself was, from the beginning, a delight to deal with. Upbeat, informative and totally helpful all throughout the

HomeAway process.

If coming to Asheville, i would strongly recommend to anyone that staying at Claudia's loft will enhance your stay and make it

more memorable.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I went to Asheville for a quick getaway and decided that we'd rather rent a property instead of being in a hotel room for 5 days. I would give this place a huge thumbs up. The unit itself has tons of character and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Also, it was extremely clean which is a big thing for me.

There are grocery stores within a 10 or 15 minute walk but if you want to have drinks or snacks on hand I would recommend picking them up on the way because you won't find any convenience stores around the corner.

We definitely recommend this loft and will stay here next time we visit Asheville.

Ideal downtown location

  • 4 of 5

This was a great loft in the middle of downtown. Walking distance to everything, yet we heard no street noise at all. The floors looked to be original or reclaimed wood - added a lot of character but we're very creaky! Gorgeous space.

The loft was beautifully decorated, and the owners could not have been more welcoming. We were greeted with chocolates and restaurant recommendations, along with maps and brochures of area things to do. Claudia checked in on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed.

The only reason for not giving a 5-star review is that we had to pay extra for going from 2 to 4 guests, and the new VRBO fees. From the listing we assumed that the extra sleeping space would be on the futon. The owners brought in two cots for our children which was nice, but we would have preferred to save money and have them sleep on the futon rather than have an additional fee. Would stay here again for the great location!
