Sunnyslope is an OCEAN-VIEW vacation home in Crofton, Vancouver Island.
Our location is a great central spot to explore from Qualicum to Victoria to Tofino. Saltspring Island is a short ferry ride. Chemainus, Duncan and Ladysmith are a few minutes drive. (Or you could simply stay at Sunnyslope and relax, relax, relax.)
It is extremely well- appointed, with spacious living areas, decks and patios. Fully furnished with lovely, comfortable furniture. Truly 'homey'.
Fully equipped kitchen, even to crystal stem-ware. Lots of room to park your boat!
Quiet, restful, expansive but cosy.
Betty and I (Stu) retired about six years ago from a motel in central B.C., after more than 20 years. We missed meeting and visiting with people, so after moving to 'The Island' we decided that a vacation rental would be the answer.
When we discovered Crofton, we loved it and were convinced that it would be a perfect spot for vacationers wishing to experience this incredibly beautiful part of the world.
My greatest pleasure at Sunnyslope is settling down on the front balcony and simply letting the view, the quiet, and the incredible sea-breeze wash over me. It's soothing and uplifting at the same time. The hazard is that I sometimes resent having to return to the real world!
This is an e-mail from a recent guest. Being a new property, we are thrilled with this response to our on-going efforts to provide a really good vacation experience.
I want to thank you for the rental of your house! Everything was great, and having the park right through the back yard was awesome for the kids. The house was just what we needed, and the location was perfect! You definitely have a beautiful spot in a beautiful town. Very lucky!
I would definitely recommend you and your property to anyone.
Thank-you again and take care!
Our stay was perfect. The home has everything you require for your stay, we couldn't ask for anything more. I was a little nervous as this was our first time staying at a private home instead of a hotel. But any of you first timers out there.......let me tell you...... there's nothing to worry about. Using hotels is a thing of the past for me while vacationing! We will be back.

As promised , we visited sunny slopes again. Like last year we enjoyed our selves. Thank you Stu & Bill.
We really enjoyed our stay. It was relaxing. The house was comfortable and well equipped with what we needed. Thank you for such an amazing time! Beautiful yard by the way!
My wife and I and our little dog really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful vacation home. It is fully equipped with everything you will need including a washer and Dryer and a Dishwasher. All a must have for me! We really enjoyed sitting out on the front balcony watching the birds at the bird feeders. We also enjoyed watching the sailboats and other ships out in the Ocean. The home was very clean and we loved the double reclining love seat in the living room. The Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped!
We really appreciated the help from Bill who was very good about making sure we had what we needed. Even though he was in the basement which is a total separate unit he was never noisy and always gave us our privacy. But, he was there to answer any questions we had or give ideas of great places to check out on the island. We did not actually meet Stu, but he was easy to work with and seemed very pleasant. My daughter and son-in-law are staying at this home in July and I know they will have a great time!
I would recommend this home to any couple or family who wants to visit the Island. It is not very far from Victoria and Nanaimo in not far either. Great parks everywhere and make sure you check out the Nanaimo bars at the 49th Parallel Grocery Store in Ladysmith.
The place was perfect for us and our dog. Well kept, clean and well supplied with the essentials. Would definitely return for another stay!
Thanks Stu, Our trip was what we, expected very relaxing. The house was very comfortable just taught it was a little too far out. We did visit a few places, Nanimo, Coombs, Goats on the roof enjoyed that, Victoria rode on the double decker bus and of course Butchart Gardens. Wish the weather was better got the sun the day before we left. Bill was very kind and helpful. The first thing he said help yourselves to some tomatoes:)
Crofton is a village boasting a truly fine board-walk, beginning just below the museum and following the shore-line. Walk it when the tide's in and when the tide's out. At any time you may meet others enjoying the ambiance as you are. And you are always guarantied a friendly greeting. Even some pleasant and mutually gratifying conversation if you wish. Well worth your time!
