Tranquil, Refreshing & Do It Again ! !

  • 5 of 5

Paradise View is exactly what we were looking for! We have vacationed in the area for several years and accommodations have varied from a very nice Econo Lodge to a 3 level Cabin that sleeps 10 with stunning views. However, for some reason Paradise View has and is the most relaxing place to stay - fair pricing an

It's off the main Wears Valley Rd up a moderate to steep hill -- it took going up down the hill a couple of times for us to feel more comfortable but it was WELL WORTH IT! The Views are jaw dropping and we were graced with gorgeous sunsets and peaceful bird singing sunrises!

Beds are comfortable. There is a "pool room" but can easily be a 3rd bdrm - because we found an air mattress - just need a pump. Our son was comfortable sleep'g on the couch.

The Cabin is spacious with 2large bedrooms and 3bathrooms, a large open floor plan kitchen and dining area with ample seating and a very comfortable family gathering area around the tv and fireplace. The kitchen is better stocked than my own kitchen!! There is a charcoal grill that we used and all appliances were in excellent condition. Everything was clean and orderly. Plenty of towels for the bathroom also!

There's a Kroger store approx. 10mins away on Wears Valley Rd and a Dollar General nearby too. Cabin is in a great location - quiet and secluded but not far from the main shopping and entertainment.

We have just a couple of suggestions:

1) Provide more Kitchen towels . There was only one wash towel and one drying towel for the kitchen --- but plenty of bathroom towels. The bathroom towels were in the dryer and we had to fold them - evidentially the cleaning company doesn't wait for these to dry and put away.

2) Personal touches go a LOOOONG WAY! It would be so thoughtful and charming if there had been a small plate of cookies or box of chocolates or snacks for the guests' arrival and a greeting card with it. Okay, I know I'm asking for too much. But if I owned a cabin and rented it out - I would have so much fun doing things like this! Perhaps in the reservation process a simple choice of the Guests' 3 favorite things -- Snacks; Popcorn or Pretzels, Chocolates or Cookies W/ bottles of water. What a lovely surprise awaiting the long traveling guests! (surely you can hide the costs - just don't overcharge ;)

FINAL WORD: FABULOUS PLACE & WANT TO STAY AGAIN !! Oh and Read Psalm 121 while relaxing on the porch - watching the sunset! Be blessed

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Where do I start? This cabin was perfect for us! We were looking for secluded but convenient. It fit that requirement perfectly! We felt like we were on our own private mountain. The views were incredible. So incredible that we got married on the porch with the beautiful view in the background. The interior is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The beds were comfy. We were close enough to town that we were able to do all the fun things Pigeon Forge had to offer at night. We were a short drive to Cades Cove which we visited every day. We did a lot of hiking. There is a day hike and waterfall brochure you can pick up in the bookstore in Cades Cove. Many of these trail heads are nearby. We will definitely be back! Possibly an anniversary trip! The owners were so easy to deal with. We could not have asked for better people or a better vacation. They helped make that happen!

Charming cabin

  • 4 of 5

Once you get past the scary drive up the mountain on a narrow road, you arrive to a beautiful clean cabin. The cabin was perfect for our family. Waking up every morning and taking in the scenery was breathtaking. The mountain views are amazing. They had all the gadgets and kitchen appliances we needed. They also have a pool table and games which our boys enjoyed. The only downfall to the cabin is the Internet connection. The wifi is extremely slow so we were unable to use our laptop or Apple TV. If you're looking to get some work done or search anything, you'll have to rely on your on your phone service.
