Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Birute,

Thanks for a lovely stay. The suite was so perfect for my family and dogs. It was such a beautiful weekend all round and was really nice that my mother-in-law could experience this too. Would love to stay again. Nice to have the late check out too!!

Very nice experience at Birute/Dennis' property in Victoria. Beacon Hill Park, Strait of Juan de Fuca and restaurants were all minutes away. Would recommend this site for a nice Victoria getaway!

Lovely

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this place in Victoria. Iʻm the type of person who likes a clean place and the moment I walked through the doors - it felt clean. No need to rewash dishes either. Booking, Payment Process, entry into the place was a breeze. This place had everything you need and more. It was very nice to return after a full day of exploring Victoria to come back to comfy couches. Our teens wants these couches for our home as well. The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet. It is a short walk to the water to enjoy a stroll with our dog. A very nice gift was waiting for us thanking us for the reserving their home - you certainly donʻt see this type of appreciation these days. We were well pleased for my family of 4 and our dog. Oh - and the beds were comfortable. The only recommendation that my teenage son had was to secure the bunk bed - it felt wiggly to him. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay at this property. It was ideal for the two of us. Although it is compact it has everything supplied including the little things like shampoo and conditioner and kitchen supplies. No need to bring any of that stuff. The location is great - just steps to Clover Point and the beautiful views across the Strait of Juan De Fuca. The unit was spotlessly clean, the WiFi worked well and if the weather is not good there are plenty of cable channels on the TV. One small suggestion for the owner - a few coasters for drinks would be useful. If there were any there we couldn't find them.

great place!

  • 5 of 5

Took my grandchildren ( 9 and 12 ) and met my sister in Victoria- the place was a perfect choice with the beach so close and walking distance to town and parks. All the necessary info was there even though we didn't meet owner. Big bunk beds were great for the girls with reading lights and baskets for books.. Bigger bed very comfortable.. Kitchen VERY well supplied- even plastic wrap and napkins ! Thanks

Good location

  • 5 of 5

Suited 3 of us fine. We'd hired a car so it was easy to get to all the locations. About 3 min walk to the cliff top - bit more to sea and beach - and where Shakespeare on the Beach tented production was being held. Shops (Cook Street) and park very nearby. The property contained all we needed. Reminded me of a bit of a train carriage - long and narrow(ish). Absolutely fine, and comfortable beds. All instructions for any of the appliances were available. We didn't meet the owner, Birute, but everything was self explanatory so no problems (and she had emailed us beforehand). We did hear the children of the people who were staying in the main house above ... but that's to be expected when staying in part of a house. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Thank you Birute.

Rest on the road

Lovely stay. Enjoyed the two ensuites, comfy beds, fabulous view of the river, very quiet. Nice main room and kitchenette. Dock at the river very idyllic.

One suggestion: Most expensive place we stayed. Feel it was overpriced compared to other places we have stayed.

Guests can walk, bike, roller blade or jog to the home from downtown ferry terminals. Rental cars and tours are available for exploring more than Victoria. Very close to the ocean and Beacon Hill Park which includes a petting zoo and twice a day goat stampede! Flowers, fresh air, para-sailers, wind surfers, mountain and ocean views and rainbows are all part of the charm.

Having beach picnics or just watching the water activities can relax everyone.

For those wishing to explore the local pubs a few blocks in either direction will satisfy your appetite. One of the best fish and chip shops is a few blocks away.

Grocery and pharmacies within walking distance.
