The master bedroom is on the and includes a full bathroom with a mahogany shower! There is a bunk room on the first floor, the 'back room' which features a Murphy bed. The full kitchen with Island (seating for 6) and the 'great room' open to the peak with an air-tight woodstove. This home was built in the year 2000. It was completely fabricated by hand on-site by master Adirondack craftsmen. Many pieces of it (Island, counter tops, cabinets, hand rails etc.) we fashioned from materials found on the property. This home is very unique and instantly gives visitors a true feeling of Adirondack simplicity and serenity. This is truly a property exudes relaxation.
I grew up in Glens Falls NY, (about 40 miles away) and purchased the land when I was 20 years old. At the age of 40, I decided it was time to create a vacation home for Me, my wife, and our 2 daughters. Avid skiers and outdoors people, we contracted my wife's brother an 'old school' builder to create the perfect mountain home for our family. Over the past 13 years we have made memories in this home that none of us will ever, ever forget. Come and stay for a few days or even a few weeks and you will understand exactly what I'm talking about.

We stayed here during a family reunion held nearby. A superb Adirondack cottage, beautifully renovated, in a very quiet location. Absolutely charming and comfortable. One suggestion—a huge plus would be Wifi and internet access.
Beautiful woodwork. Great wood burning stove. Very comfortable!
My husband stayed here so we could explore the Adirondack moutains. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with basic such as cookware, spices, and some condiments. We liked the frosted glasses in the freezer. Very comfortable king size bed in the loft. We found some nearby trails to run on but we did wind up driving about an hour and a half to Lake Placid area to go hiking. The owner was available by phone for our questions and helped direct us to the trails nearby and how to get to Lake Placid.
We had a fantastic time at your home. It was spacious, well maintained and beautiful. We had a fun time hiking, fishing, grilling and hanging out around the fire. The house offered everything we needed and was in close proximity to various hiking trails, fishing ponds and Gore mountain.
My fiancee and our friends decided to get away for a few days. I had always been looking for a "log cabin" upstate, but never found one that caught my eye the way this one did. The place was clean, well-maintained and just secluded enough without being too remote. We stayed in, cooked dinner and watched Halloween movies. We hiked during the day, made a fire at night, and overall had a wonderful time. Everything was accurate as Matthew explained to us prior to our arrival, and even when we had a question during checking out, he was responsive to a quick email we sent. We would GLADLY come again, and already have been talking about it for next summer. Can't wait! Thank you, Matthew & Justine for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cabin!

The Central Adirondack region offers never ending recreational opportunities for people of all ages. It would be easier to list activities you can't engage in. The mountains, ponds, streams and rivers offer so much as well as the small towns, golf courses, antique shops etc. The air is always cool, and the natural surroundings are intoxicating. One has to experience it to completely understand it.
