We traveled to Maui for the last 20 years and think that this is the best property with the best views on the best beach on Maui.

What makes this condo unique

Direct oceanfront. You can observe the whales directly from your balcony. There is always shade on the balcony, we let our 2 year old nap there during the day.

Full ocean view from the back bedroom. Only one more unit before 602, so no 'foot traffic' past the back bedroom

Great View Great Location

This is our second time staying at Mana Kai condominium. It is kind of expensive but you'd be hard pressed to find a better ocean view anywhere in the world. We spent at least an hour a day just hanging out on the lanai watching whales spouting and breaching. It is located on a small point close to the junction between Kihei and Wailea. Keawakapu beach is just south of the condo. It is narrow but the sand is perfect and the snorkeling is great directly out from the condo. It is common to see turtles here. Just north of the condo is a neat little trail that traverses park and rare bird nesting grounds.

The condos ending in numbers 1-6 have the best views because they are closer to the ocean. We stayed in 602 which had a great view. Last time we stayed in 804? which was also great

Breathtaking view

The sunsets from this unit were spectacular! Mana Kai 602 is very well equipped for all your paradise needs. I would highly recommend staying here. I look forward to our return.

Fall stay 2016

Beautiful condo, great location

One can not get any closer to the water than at this resort.

Convenient Five Palms restaurant below.

Got to see the effects of the volcanic eruption on Hawaii as the floors

and deck furniture were coated in a fine, black powdery dust.

One good light mopping and we were good to go.

Will stay here again!

Great view, great beach, great master bedroom

From my understanding of how the Mana Kai works, it is a resort where each unit is owned by an individual. These individuals can either have the Mana Kai rent out their properties for them, or, they can rent them out for themselves. If a customer chooses to get a unit through Mana Kai directly, the customer chooses their preference (eg, ocean front), but they don't get to choose a specific unit, thus you may or may not get what you pictured. This property owner chooses to take care of his own booking and you are guaranteed unit 602. From what I can gather, the prices are in the same ballpark from what you'd pay if you booked through the Mana Kai.

Unit 602 is wonderful. The real gem is its lanai and master bedroom. You are definitely oceanfront and can hear the waves crashing, even being on the 6th floor. Unit 602 has one of the best locations in the building - only one unit on that floor might have a similar/slightly better location.

The building just a few steps from the beach. I went in summer and the beach was very clean/clear, very good for swimming with kids. While it may not be the big world-famous beaches a little to the south, it is still nonetheless beautiful and will not disappoint.

The unit has two bedrooms. These condos were designed such that an owner could rent the rooms separately or as a whole. Thus, the first bedroom feels a little "out of the way" compared to the master. Nonetheless, there was no problem with us leaving our 1 year old in a crib in that bedroom at night. It worked great because the two rooms have separate high-quality air conditioners (nice for summer nights). We could use the AC for our daughter's room, and turn our's off and leave the lanai door open to hear the ocean and smell the air.

The master bedroom has a bit of a "studio apartment" feel to it in that it is open to the living room. This was no problem for us, however, if one chooses, they can close the thin partition doors to turn the master into a separate room from the living room. We preferred to leave it open. The lanai has a huge sliding glass door, making the master bedroom truly an ocean front experience. Many other Maui condos only have the lanai as ocean front and leave the bedrooms without a view to cram more "ocean front" units in. Not here - the entire master is ocean front.

The rest of the unit was pretty standard - functional/nice kitchen/living room. There is no in-unit laundry, which may inconvenience some. Laundry was $6/load.

Beautiful View and Location

The view was incredible from the porch of this unit, overlooking one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui. The Mana Kai facility itself was first rate, with a nice pool, lawn and beach frontage with some of the best snorkeling in Maui, we saw tropical fish and even a few turtles snorkeling in the reefs there. The unit itself was furnished nicely, although I do wish the curtains had been room darkening, but everything else was adequate. Having a/c was great, especially in the hot and humid July/August months. The wifi in the unit was unusable for us, and probably should be upgraded.

Great location in a great building

We have stayed ar the Mana Kai for the last 15 years and this unit is easily our favorite. The updating was very well done and the a/c was a welcome relief in late June. We could not find any fault with the unit. The owner, Igor, was very easy to work with. We will be back next year and, as always, stay at the Mana Kai and, hopefully, this same unit.
