Great place for a great price
This was a perfect place if all you need a place to sleep. It was a little warm at night but otherwise it was a good place for the right price
Evening Parade Perfection!
The property was absolutely perfect and such a nice neighborhood! It was wonderful and not even a block walk to the evening parade!
I'd stay there again!
This place had a great location and I felt like it was a great bargain. I'm glad I had already read the reviews so I had a better idea of what to expect. It appears to be cleaned by the owners instead of professionally and it didn't have every kitchen item I'm used to having, but it was perfect for what we needed which was a place to come to in order to relax and sleep and eat to recuperate from the hectic pace of DC.
House had a good location. I thought I may get fresh towels but never did. Did have enough toilet paper and had to buy some. Nice place to stay has all you need.
The location of this place is perfect! It was close enough to walk to some great food and drinks and was also great for cheap Uber rides around the the National Mall.
Convenient location, needs better management
This place could be a gem, but needs more attentive management and care.
The location is great: within a 10-minute walk of the metro, great restaurants, and shopping. I felt safe walking during the day and evening hours.
The apartment has been renovated nicely, but it was NOT clean. The bathroom: there was hair and dirt in the corners of the bathroom, the bathroom rug had obviously not been freshly laundered, a clear toothbrush holder was coated in dried toothpaste crud (why was this even there), and a ragged piece of cupboard foam graced the top of the toilet. Both ceiling fans: coated in thick dust as were the white panels in the doors. Kitchen: the dish draining mat was stained and dirty, there was a filter with cold coffee grounds in the coffee maker and the carafe had not been washed, I found a broken shard of glass behind the coffee maker, the cupboard with coffee and spices was filthy, and the refrigerator shelves were dirty and unwiped. The bedroom: I had to assume the sheets were clean, but only because I could not find visible stains, but they were so wrinkled and creased that it appeared they'd been allowed to sit in the washer to dry.
Another issue was regarding privacy in the bedroom. Although the bedroom is in the back of the row house, there was a large excavated space outside that was surrounded by construction walls, but one area was open to the neighboring house and a ladder was leaning against the other side. The windows in the bedroom had only sheers covering them, which gave no privacy nor darkness during the night because of the lighting in the neighboring yard.
Last, the manager assured me I'd have a parking pass for my car. Just before I arrived, I received a text that he had not gotten the pass and told me to find a place to park. There IS no place to park that I wouldn't have to feed a meter or keeping moving the car, which was unacceptable. After driving around the neighborhood for about 40 minutes and finding no parking, I ended up going to pick him up and bring him back to the neighborhood to get the parking pass (hour round trip), and assumed I'd also have to return him home. He decided to Uber back. So why was he unable to Uber to get the parking pass in the first place so it would be available when I arrived? This issue caused me to miss my ticketed afternoon museum event. The manager did refund half the first night rental, but it still ruined my afternoon plans.
Needs cleaning/diligent management.
