About Nada, the owner of the property

Being Snowbirds ourselves, we did comprehensive research on Southern destinations where we felt would be most comfortable and exciting for us to vacation away from the cold winter months in Canada. We had already vacationed in California, New Mexico, Arizona, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, and finally found ourselves mesmerized with the beaches and amenities that Sarasota offers to vacationers.

Nada, the owner of the property purchased this house in 2012

Why Nada, the owner of the property chose Sarasota

We decided to craft a Beach House in Sarasota Gulf Gate because of it's charming tranquility, as well as it's close proximity to Siesta Key Beach. We wanted to have a vacation home that would be relaxing and enjoyable, and at the same time, give us that 'away from it all' feeling. It took us some time to remodel an exquisite property and to construct and include a beautiful and expansive Roman swimming pool on our large patio.

We are thrilled with our Gulf Gate Beach House as a family and we are excited to share our joys and passion for it with you too! See you there! And remember, ‘Life is Good’

What makes this house unique

We were attracted by a beautiful view from the living room on the spacious and tropical looking backyard. We immediately imagined a large swiming pool and spa right in the middle of it. Our dream came true the following year when we built a nice sundeck and our private, Roman-shaped swimming pool, where we spend our most enjoyable moments.

March 2017 Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I (young seniors) spent the full month of March here. The Sarasota area is really nice, and this home was well situated within the area, making it an excellent base for day trips and sightseeing expeditions. It is also very well located for those days when lounging around the pool was preferred, with numerous shopping and eating establishments within a short walk. There is also a great library, a slightly further walk in the other direction from the shopping area. The neighborhood has plenty of amenities within walking distance, is very quiet (no barking dogs as had been reported by someone else) and the neighbors are friendly. The home itself is well equipped, modern and very clean. The March weather was very warm, and the poll did not require supplemental heating. Air conditioner was not required at night as the windows and ceiling fans provided adequate cooling. Maria was a great help with questions we had, and ensured everything was working to our satisfaction. She also ensured we had adequate fuel for the BBQ. We especially enjoyed the local weekly farmers markets and the art festivals in the nearby towns on weekends. It is a spot we are likely to book again in future, and would highly recommend it to couples or small families. Nada provides a couple of adult bicycles as well. We did not avail ourselves of the bikes due to our lack of familiarity with the area overall, but there are adequate bike lanes in most areas. Tickets for the major league baseball Baltimore Orioles were readily available and well priced for games in a fantastic baseball venue. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this property and felt at home right from the moment we arrived.

Excellent Accommodation

  • 5 of 5

From the minute we met Maria at the property and until we left, we felt very at home. Maria was very helpful showing us around the property and giving instructions. The pool and spa were just what we need in the hot weather. The kitchen area had everything we needed, it is perfectly adequate for 2 adults and 2 children. We only used the main bedroom for 2 adults, but we did use both bathrooms. My husband found the shower cubicle in the en-suite big enough and I had plenty of room in the main bathroom. Having the door from the en-suite to the pool area was also a bonus. I agree with previous reviews that the air con is a bit noisy, but during the day this is not a problem, however at night it did keep us awake so we switched it off and used the ceiling fan instead which was more than adequate to keep us cool at night. The area is very quite and the neighbours are friendly. We walked to the local bars and restaurants, but the Publix supermarket is a bit too far in the hot weather. We can recommend the il Panificio Italian for pizza and sandwiches, Harry Sports Bar & Grill (which we walked to, but it is a good 20 mins) and Original Word of Mouth for Brunch.

Peaceful and tranquil

  • 5 of 5

This was our third time back and it was so amazing! Our family finds such peace and tranquillity when we go to this home. Everything that we need is available, we don't have to bring much with us. The convenience of having grocery stores, retail stores, book stores, restaurants, and beautiful siesta key beach in a short distance makes for such easy vacationing. We love this home, we love Maria who is so kind and welcoming and we definitely love Nada the owner who always make sure we have what we need! This property is a gem!!

Little gem close to all amenities and that gorgeous beach.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4 with 2 energetic boys aged 11 & 7. Having the pool was an absolute blessing. It was the perfect temperature for us all to play in, we had some wonderful days. The house itself is extremely well laid out. The only slight observation is the very small kitchen, but this didn't trouble us at all. The rest of the house has everything you could need, I especially liked the ensuite shower room which can be accessed by the pool . The neighbors were an absolute delight. They left Easter eggs for our boys in the garden which was simply a lovely gesture which my wife and I will never forget. Maria was fantastic, always on hand for anything we needed and showed us around and welcomed us upon arrival. A sincere Thank you to her and Nadia for a truly wonderful holiday experience. We will definitely return.

The villa with everything

  • 5 of 5

The villa is in a very quiet, smart neighbourhood but only a 5 -10 minute walk to shops, a supermarket and great restaurants. 10 minutes to Siesta Key beach (voted no1 in USA). There is a large pool and covered area we used every day. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've experienced, a tv in every room and every facility you could want. We had a lovely welcome form the property manager when we arrived and thoroughly recommend the villa.
