We walked in to a condo that was disgusting! It had never been cleaned since the previous renters, which looked to be Spring Breakers by the way they left the place. No clean towels, sheets, etc. There was even a fresh blood stain on one of the beds. Sanjay wouldn't answer our calls, emails, or texts. VBRO is trying to be helpful, but with holding times of over 1.5 hours it has been a wreck!!
By far the best property we have rented. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and the condo had everything you would need. Very stylishly furnished, spotless and an amazing view from the balcony.
Overall, we had a good experience staying at this property. The condo was clean, comfortable and representative of the images shown on VRBO. It had a perfect access to a private beach and was suitable for a young child to stay as well.
To enhance this experience from a 4 star rating to 5, we felt the following could be addressed:
1) Property maintenance: The unit could use a little bit of updating with the outdoor balcony furniture, kitchen dishes and cupboards (e.g., dishes all scratched, mismatched cups, garbage door fell off upon opening) as well as providing a few comfort necessities (e.g., enough toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, a multi purpose cleaning spray) so you weren't out of pocket on items that would serve most guests' needs.
2) Customer service: We also felt we could have used a bit of a more personal touch with things like having a land-line (we asked to borrow the main offices a couple times), more instructions on where to find items that needed access (e.g., beach umbrellas), as well as instructions on where to leave used linens etc. Up until accessing the unit, Sanjay did provide prompt email response to any queries which was helpful. Once in the unit we had to rely on the property management who didn't seem overly keen to help us out (and rightly so, we weren't renting from her).
We would recommend this property to friends, with these caveats to help inform their decision if they were looking to stay at Indian Shores.
We really enjoyed our stay in Indian Shores. The condo was clean and well set out in the lounging area overlooking the sea. The pool was also very clean. There were two very good restaurants close to the condo in walking distance the "Salt Rock Grill" and "The Pub" , the food was excellent and very good service. Sanjay was very helpful and provided plenty of information for us prior to arrival.
6/11 - 6/25/16 Condo was beautiful, just as described. Floor plan was great, with a fully stocked kitchen. We literally needed nothing, save for food. The condo was clean, and had very comfortable furniture and beds, with a fantastic direct view of the gulf and beautiful sunsets. The outside grounds and pool were well maintained. Had an issue with missing/broken blinds upon arrival. Contacted owner the next day, who promptly came and replaced the blinds. Great customer service. It was a pleasure meeting him and I would not hesitate to rent from him on our next trip down.
