We fell in love with Sisters 10 years ago, Our favorite pastime in Sisters - hanging on the back porch!
Don Flener purchased this house in 2006
We purchased this premium lot in Pine Meadow Village when many choices were available. It was the most expensive lot for sale because of it's setting - a corner lot with the best view of Three Sisters!
Our extended family (14 brothers, sisters, cousins, adult children, grand children) rented 3 homes in Pine Meadow Village for a weekend family gathering. Of the 3 houses, which all were lovely and well equipped, this house had the most bang for the buck including price, location (on a quiet dead end culdesac within walking distance to the Clubhouse and pool); scenery (across the vast meadow to unobstructed views of several snow-capped mountains); flexibility for group gatherings (great lower deck where all 14 of us could comfortably sit to visit, barbeque, or take in the views); decor - fun, quirky, eclectic without worrying about breaking something. There was just enough lawn space for games of Cornhole and Ladder Golf. And air conditioning, which was greatly needed as the daytime temperatures were between 85 - 95 degrees. The owners were easy to work with. When we return to Sisters again we will definitely try to get this home for our stay.
My husband and I shared this house with another couple. It was perfect for us. We loved sitting on the back deck looking at the view of the three sisters. We could see the three sisters from almost every room in the house. It was delightful. In addition, all the beds were very comfortable. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The location is Sisters, OR is great because it is within a short driving distance to the McKenzie Pass, Three Creeks Lake area, Metolius area, and Bend. We hope to stay here again.
We loved the house, which had absolutely everything we needed, but particularly enjoyed the fabulous view of the Three Sisters. We spent every evening on the deck - didn't want to go out! We also loved Sisters - our favourite place during our Oregon trip - and would love to return one day. Thank you!
Relaxing, lots of room, everything we needed
My parents and I spent a wonderful Quilt Week at this home. The view is unparalleled and the house is nicely appointed. The ground floor bedroom/bath was especially great for my elderly parents. This is one of the nicest houses and locations I've experienced with VRBO and I have rented many all over the country. The nearby owners were helpful and very organized.
We were so sad to leave at the end of our stay and only wish the owner had kept us in mind for the next summer's Quilt Week. We ended up scrambling to find another location for 2017 as they are extremely hard to find. This is a highly recommended property if you can get it.
This VRBO has a spectacular view of the Sisters Mountains with easy access to routes 20/126 and 242 for visiting the Deschutes and Willamette National Forests. The setting from most of the windows and especially the back and upper decks offered views of the mountains and the meadows where we saw deer and watched two male cows butting heads and fighting. Two of the mornings there were gorgeous rainbows to adorn the sky. The unit is roomy, updated and tastefully decorated. Appreciated the kitchen having "real" pans to cook with. Would definitely recommend this unit and hope to revisit. Just an FYI, the owners must have a dog and if there are any allergies, might want to take precautions.
A must visit destination in Central Oregon.
