Great location, great deck for sitting and watching the ocean, loved the beach. Could have stayed longer but the weather wasn't the best. Kind of cold because of the wind blowing so much. It didn't keep us from trying lots of good seafood on Belleair Beach. Would definitely reccomend it.
This was our second stay and we will be back next year! The condo is spacious with panoramic views of the ocean that are amazing. The wrap around deck is a huge plus! And just a few steps away from the condo, we are having fun in the sun.
We are a fairly seasoned family of four travelers (mom/dad + two teens) and we rate this condo experience as one of our top. The floor plan layout allows for typical noisy fun in the kitchen and livingroom space with the bedrooms set back far enough to remain nice and quiet for early or late sleepers. Everything was clean and we were so happy to find small stock piles of various items for use such as soaps and coffee and spices and even peanut butter. A rare opportunity for this momma to wake up the first morning and take it easy instead of rushing to the store. Plenty of beach chairs and sand/swim toys on the deck. Beach towels in the closet. Our week was cold and windy, so the pool nestled behind the building was a wonderful warm sunny respite from the wind which made a teen girl very happy for sun tanning purposes. The mattresses were not the most comfortable but the owners seem to be doing consistent upgrades with lots of personal homey touches. There is a shower in the yard for cleaning off beach sand. The front deck to the beach is maybe 30 feet so beachfront really means beachfront. This is a second story which means a small flight of stairs on the side but the view from this raised position is perfect. The owners were just a text message away. Very responsive. Very nice. As far as location, it’s a quiet spot with nothing in walking distance. But a short 2-3 mile drive in one direction lands you on the main Clearwater Beach drag and 2 miles in the other direction and across the causeway is a strip full of restaurants and a grocery store. 12 miles (20minutes) to Johns Pass Boardwalk. One tip.....take lots of pocket money for parking and tolls if you plan to drive for sightseeing. Tolls everywhere! and parking is expensive. We drove 2 hours north to kayak with the Manatee at Three Sisters Spring on Crystal River. So awesome. We took the 1.5 hour jet ski adventure via the H2O Company in Clearwater across from Pier 60 ($130 per ski which holds two people). Again, awesome. We drove 1.5 hours to Siesta Key and Sarasota for a day to visit friends. Definitely recommend shopping at Ellenton Outlets (hour away between st. Pete’s and Sarasota). All in all, this was a great condo and location for our activities.
Loved everything about this condo! It is in a prime spot on Belleaire Beach, close to grocery, restaurants and Clearwater Beach, yet is very private. It is a 2nd story unit which gives it the BEST views of the ocean and sunsets! It had plenty of space for our group of 6. It's very well stocked with the kitchen basics (check before you grocery shop as a lot of condiments and cooking supplies were already there), bathroom essentials (hairdryers and some miscellaneous bathroom supplies) and beach supplies. Which made it so nice not to have to pack every little thing. The owners are super nice people, feel like we've known them forever! Our stay was supposed to be right during Irma and they were super about communicating with us regarding every detail and eventually rescheduling. We just can't stress enough what a nice place this is. The decks are fantastic for enjoying the sunsets and beach! We will hopefully be back! Thanks Nick and Alise!
Old Florida Style is amazing! Less than 100 steps and you're in the sand! The most amazing sunsets ever. When Alise & Nick say all you need is your swim suit and clothes, they're not kidding. Everything you need for the beach is there (umbrellas, toys, chairs, towels). The area is quiet and things to do, places to eat is only a 10-15 min drive away. Grocery stores, Walmart are just over the causeway. Check the condo before you shop as people leave food, bath items, laundry items when they check out. Do not expect to come to this area of the Gulf and have waves like the Destin, Panama City area. The only time we had waves was when storms were going north in the Gulf. Do expect the typical afternoon pop up showers. Lots of treasures to find if you walk the beach in the mornings. Don't be shocked if you step on something odd in the water or get bumped, lots of sponges in this area! We loved our week stay! My kids (9 & 15) had only 1 complaint, they wished there were t.v.'s in the 2 guest rooms.
Shorty's-hole in the wall convenience store next to Backwaters restaurant in Sand Key- THE BEST FOOD EVER!
Red Lion-Irish Pub in Indian Rocks- best all you can eat crab legs!
Salt Cracker-Clearwater, behind Crabby's & below Bait House Tavern- Good Food!
We enjoyed the property and would recommend it to others who like staying on the beach.
Belleair Beach is a quiet beach community adjacent to Clearwater Beach, the number one rated beach in the country. We are within minutes of great restaurants, water activities and all that you would expect from this top resort area. To the south is famous St. Pete Beach and historic downtown St. Pete with its many museums, art districts, galleries, shopping, restaurants, nightclubs and Professional Sports.
