Great location, pleasant spot

Our family - 2 teenagers, a 10 year old and 2 parents - stayed here on our recent sightseeing trip. I was initially concerned due to the lack of recent reviews, but this unit was exactly as advertised. The owner, John, was a pleasure to deal with, and was very helpful when making the arrangements and upon our arrival in London. The keys for the flat are at the unit, so there is no messing around with having to visit another location for check-in before you can actually gain entry to the unit. The flat is a short walk from the Pimlico tube stop, and a quick 5 minute cab ride from Victoria train station, for those arriving/departing downtown with luggage in tow. Its location makes it an ideal base for sightseeing in London. The Morpeth Arms is a great pub literally 30 seconds away that serves good meals well into the evening, and there are several local shops in the area for convenience food and items. A supermarket is an easy 10 minute walk away.

We spent our entire time sightseeing, so our time spent in the flat was mostly limited to sleeping and breakfast. The unit itself was quite nice and was clean. The bathrooms have been nicely redone and the beds were comfortable. It is quite close to Millbank Street, which is a major thoroughfare, so there was a bit of road noise in the night when the windows were open, but I don't think that's unusual for anywhere in downtown London. The carpet and paint are starting to show their age and could use a refresh, but again if you are using this unit just as a base for sightseeing, I think its location and the trustworthiness of the owner far outweigh those issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent London Holiday Flat

My family and our friends stayed in this townhouse for about a week in mid-June 2013. It was everything we wanted for our London vacation:

Excellent Central London Holiday Flat

A wonderful time we had in London!

Thank you John for a very memorable visit to your beautiful city. We (a family of four children and two adults) enjoyed staying in your apartment. It fitted us perfectly. The kids had their own space and the apartment is well set out. The kitchen is well appointed and we had need for nothing while we were there. It is in a great location as well.

Perfect accomodation

After a long search for an adequate accommodation for our 5 days London trip we found this appartment which is rather a small house.

The contact with the landlord, John, was very pleasant and he was very helpful. Thank you!

The appartment is located in a nice residential area and is ideal as a basis for London sightseeing (excellent tube/ bus connections).

We were a family of four with two teenagers and had a lot of room for all. We felt very comfortable and took advantage of the well equipped kitchen. We estimated to find a hairdryer so we need no adapter.

For having lunch we tried the Morpeth Arms just arround the corner which we can really recommend.

Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to come back one day. There is still so much to discover!

Lots of fun for all the family

We just had a week in London with our two boys, aged 6 and 4, plus their grandparents and everyone had a brilliant time. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax at home. And the buses and trains nearby took us everywhere we wanted to go. The Tate Britain is a quiet haven after a busy day sightseeing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The house has lots of tour guides/maps and helpful tips for getting around. The two pubs nearby had great food! The theatre district is only 5-10mins away on the bus. And we could walk to Westminster Abbey. We got the train to Tower of London, British Museum and the V&A. The supermarket was fairly close but next time I'd get a cab back with the groceries. It would have been helpful to have a second set of keys when two couples are staying. But all up, it was comfortable, clean and homey. Our kids loved it and we all slept well. It's fairly quiet at night, off the main roads. It was very stress free. I'd highly recommend it. - a happy customer from Australia
