About Jim and Robin Hentges
We have always enjoyed serving people. Since 1979 when we were first married and had our first Christmas Party. It was in a 20' x. 20' cabin that we rehabbed (before that was even a thing...) and had to entertain our guests in shifts, because the space was so tight:) Today we have much more space to accommodate our friends and our incredible family has grown, but our hearts are still focused on helping people to feel comfortable and enjoy the relationships and beauty around them. Many times, slowing down to enjoy some peace and quiet, reveals the blessing! We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you.

Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful
Had a lovely time with family.
Beautiful Property in the Woods
Robin and Jim went out of their way to accommodate my needs! Since my back surgery, I have not been able to sleep on a flat bed and was looking everywhere for a nice place with a recliner. They did not have one but borrowed one from a family member just for me!! That is so wonderful. The unit is also very nice and very clean. We had a super time. They are super hosts!
Wonderfully relaxing and Dog heaven!
My husband and I stayed at the Log Bear Den with our two dogs for 3 weeks while looking for a house for purchase. It was absolutely perfect! It was very private and relaxing and the views out the back are incredible.
Upon arrival the rental was spotless and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for our whole stay... including a massive dog bed (which our biggest dog LOVED)!
Robin and Jim were very kind and always available if we needed them, they let the pups explore the massive property and play to their hearts desire and also gave us great recommendations for dining and walks.
While visiting we saw deer, turtles laying their eggs, and hummingbirds. We were very sad to leave the beautiful property, and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! Thank you Robin and Jim for the wonderful stay.
Beautiful. Spacious. Accommodating. Timely replies to our many questions. Worked out wonderfully for our busy weekend.
Our Stay at Log Bear Den was absolutely wonderful. Jim and Robin have provided a spacious living space with a gorgeous yard and plenty of thoughtful amenities that made our stay extra special. The king sized bed was very comfy and made it easy to catch a great nights sleep. We brought our two yellow labs who loved the big yard and we were able to take them for walks around the neighborhood. Jim and Robin had a bed for the dogs to lay on by the fire (which they enjoyed thoroughly) and they also had bowls for them. There were skates to use on the iced over pond which had been cleared as a skating rink (it was a bit chilly during our stay with a high of around 18 degrees! so we didn't try out the skates:-) The fireplace was great, as we had our morning coffee looking out the window. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and if we find ourselves back in Minnesota, we will definitely visit again!
Jim and Robin’s vacation unit is warm and cozy, perfect for our New Years Eve stay! Our hosts graciously allowed us to stay after check-out as they didn’t have new guests coming right away. We were too lazy to leave the unit, which has huge glass windows overlooking the woods and a pond, but next time we will definitely take advantage of the snow shoes and ice skates. Thank you, Jim and Robin, for a great stay...and for having a Christmas tree up! We will definitely be back!
