The Barn is a large period barn conversion set on the edge of a farm on the outskirts of the village of Walberton. The property is full of character, with exposed beams and log burners being just two examples of its many features. There is a super farmhouse style kitchen which is well equipped and there is also an impressive dining hall which benefits from having a log burner. There is also a large drawing room, ideal for entertaining, and the galleried landing on the first floor provides extra ancillary sleeping. In all, the accommodation comprises a dining hall, kitchen with breakfast area, drawing room, a ground floor twin bedroom and a ground floor shower room, large galleried landing with further sleeping areas, and three further double bedrooms on the first floor, together with an en-suite bathroom and family bathroom. (Please note, not all beds are in private bedrooms)
There is a very pleasant private courtyard to the rear of The Barn, edged by neighbouring cottages. There is ample parking to the front, which benefits from very pleasant rural views over the farm. This property is ideal for two families sharing a holiday, or for a business seeking substantial accommodation for events or conferences. There is so much to do in the area, with excellent road and rail links nearby.
" We stayed as the grooms family over my wedding and it was perfect! The house is palatial, the kitchen and living areas were wonderful and spacious; the rooms were great. It was perfect for anyone needing accommodation over Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend. We enjoyed it much more than a hotel and the fact that we were together on our own as a family made the time much more special."
The barn was in good order and clean when we arrived. We had a great time there together as a family. Sleeping on the mezzanine floor was a bit strange and one of the beds was very uncomfortable.
It was well equiped but it could do with a few more glassses . we had to buy extra.
We would recommend it to other families.
Fontwell races where only minutes away but the weather was socold and wet that we did not stay to the end. Bognor and Littlehampton were good for seaside visits while Arundel was of interest to the adults.
We appear to have lost our camera during the holiday. Has it been left at the Barn? It is a small silver camera it a black material carrying case.

There was a real WOW factor as we went through the front door - the dining area being like an atrium really spacious and light with a log fire central to this room & the lounge. The barn is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and homely. We had a great weekend there and really didn't want to leave that gorgeous log fire!
