7 Bedrooms, 2.5 Kitchens And The Beach!
About David Bryant
Our family rented homes on this very street as our annual beach vacation getaway for many years. The decision to purchase The Beachroost as a second home was a natural extension of our desire to spend as much time at the beach as possible. Some part of our family is almost always thinking about heading to the house when it is available. We love the fall and winter months, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to strengthen our local friendships and take long walks on the beach.
David Bryant purchased this House in 1986
What makes this House unique
As a classic beachfront home, there is an emphasis on bedrooms and kitchens, of course, but the giant griddle in the kitchen is perfect for preparing a family pancake breakfast before heading out to build sandcastles, collect shells or enjoy the surf. The first floor sunroom, the patio, and the upstairs covered deck give you a 180 degree view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. When you've had enough sun, there are plenty of places to relax and read or maybe get a family game going around the kitchen table. Should you ever need to leave the house (but why would you?) , restaurants and attractions for the whole family are a short drive away.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Feels like home!
This was our third year in the Beach Roost and it was wonderful! We have already booked it for next year. David is wonderful to rent from and when any issues arose someone was sent to help us quickly. The house is a perfect beach home and we love it!
We had a great time.
Defenitly plenty of room for everyone, and right on the beautiful beach!!
Everyone loved this property!
Our family stayed here for a week and it was just about perfect for us. There were 17 of us (single adult, several adult couples, eight teenage grands) for part of the week, with a few having to go back to work early, and we all had plenty of space. The layout is good for adults, with the master king bedrooms not having extra beds in them as so many houses that claim to sleep the same number have. Also, the teens all had their own separate beds except two of the girls shared a queen for part of the week, while a twin and trundle went unused. The location right on the beach is tops, and even in mid-July the beach was never crowded. This home is among other beach houses with the only nearby hotel being a small low rise next to a vacant lot, so more than enough beach area for all. (See google maps.) We especially loved the second story porch and the sunroom, the patios, and of course the big griddle and outdoor grill. There is plenty of off-street parking for six vehicles. The website photos give a good overview of the property. For those who not only want to know the many positives but also want to know the negatives, I honestly can't think of any significant ones. The kitchen, while very well equipped, is small, and the private baths off the master bedrooms are small, but the two baths at the top of the stairs are very roomy and convenient. Both bathrooms on the main floor of the main house are off of bedrooms, as is the bath in the Nest apartment. None of these were any problem for our group, but they are the only possible little negatives I can come up with for those who are wondering. This is a very comfortable, homey, spacious house (and a separate attached apartment) with some character such as lovely wooden ceilings and a fireplace that could sleep one (you'll see, LOL). Even the main dining table is interesting, and there are extras such as a karaoke machine. If we ever do another extended family beach trip we've all said we'd want to stay in this same property again. The owners are very responsive as well. This is simply a great beach house for a large group in a beautiful location. Thanks for sharing it with our family, and God bless.
It is a great house to spend time with your family at the beach!
The Beachroost is a very great property that accommodates many family members. I would highly recommend it. We had a great time for our week
2019 Family Beach Vacation
This was the first time for my family to have a beach vacation where all were able to go. In total we had 20 people in our group. We loved the cook top and utilized it every day. The main kitchen is very well equipped. Easy access to the beach was also very nice. Plenty of room for my group to have their own personal space or gather together for meals. The A/C was amazingly cold. WiFi worked great in all of the house, from Karaoke to PlayStation and movies, no complaints from my bunch. The exterior of the house is undergoing some renovation with the addition of hardy board siding. I can’t wait to see how beautiful the house will be when it’s finished. The nice thing is, no construction during beach season. We were able to relax without saws and hammers in the background all day. I can’t say the same for other places on the beach. The patio setup and patio furniture were also very nice. We spent a lot of time on the deck and patio. The sunroom was a great place to spend time as a ground with the kids. The updates to the upstairs bathrooms also are great. We are going to be back again in 2021. Thanks David for such an amazing place to take my family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Beachroost. We are so glad your family enjoyed their vacation. We try very hard to make it as welcoming and comfortable as possible. We have so many wonderful family memories there-it warms the heart to know other families do, too!
