Property is a modern cabin with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. While modern with stainless steel appliances and all the comforts of home, it also has cabiny items like a claw-foot tub in the main bathroom. Amenities includes washer/dryer, WIFI, gas fireplace, cable/dish TV, fully stocked kitchen and all linens are provided.
The house is older but nice & comfortable. The stairs were a pain, but there is a same level entrance through a bedroom that worked better for our elderly family members. Parking is practically non-existent which caused some issues as we had several vehicles. It was nice that it did have AC as most of the Windows did not open which is a must in the mountains during the summer. Managed by property management group, so we did not receive the personal touches or quick response to questions & issues as at other properties we have stayed.
This was an adorable and nicely decorated house, although it didnt have central air. There was an air conditioner in the dining room, but With the windows open and ceiling fans on, it was still cool enough in the rest of the house at night even on 80 degree days. A 1 block walk to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Only concern was parking on the street. Very cozy house with the good location.
My family of four (two adults, one 7 year old, one 4 year old) stayed in this house for our recent vacation to Estes Park. The property is quaint and very charming. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our visit, including soap, towels, paper products (we brought our own self care items). My kids loved the old fashioned claw tub and the features of the beds (one is a trundle, the other has "secret compartments." My kids also really enjoyed the many books, drawing items and board games the house was stocked with - great idea! I loved the huge fridge - perfect for restaurant leftovers AND stocking with our own goods. The location couldn't have been better, a block off the main street. We were typically out and about in the mornings, could walk back for my 4 yr. old's afternoon nap, and then walk right back to town to explore more. Quiet when we wanted it to be, but close enough to walk to pretty much anything or to catch the free trolleys. We did have a car and parked across a street a block or so away - we were thankful to know ahead of time there was no parking AT the property, but because of the great location, it wasn't a problem. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to small families or those who come and go a lot. My only recommendation would be to perhaps add a grill.
Within steps of the downtown area, you are right in the middle of the small resort town of Estes Park. The town has a year round population of approximately 5,000 people, has wonderful mountain views, variety of food and tons of shops. The town also offers a free shuttle to Rocky Mountain National Park so you can spend hours viewing birds and wildlife or hiking/biking on the trails. The Park also offers great wildlife programs and information about the Estes Valley.
