Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect size for our family of four. The location was perfect. The house was newly renovated and was really clean. We also loved the great porch and backyard. Cathy was very helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Everything & More

  • 5 of 5

The Village House was everything we expected and more! My girlfriends & I were in Sutton's Bay for the Harvest Stompede run & wine tour. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy meals in or there are several restaurants within walking distance. The house was very clean and well stocked. A nice deck to relax outside and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of boutiques & other stores on the same street. A vase of flowers & chocolates were waiting for us when we arrived. Enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay here again.

We had a pleasant stay at The Village House. Everything was fresh and clean. The location of the home was perfectly located close to downtown and the beach. I would recommend this home to others and would stay here again.

Thank you for your hospitality!

Lovely little getaway on the main street in Suttons Bay

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is beautiful, and we enjoyed being just steps away from restaurants and fantastic shopping. We weren't there long enough to cook, but it would have been fun to cook in this modern and gorgeous kitchen. We could see the bay from our deck, and we want to come back in the summer when we can enjoy being outside. We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and the ride back and forth to Traverse City was easy and lovely. We also enjoyed exploring Omena and Northport, a short drive away. We found fantastic shops including the Suttons Bay spice shop across the street. We ate at three different restaurants, all a short walk away, and all three very good. 9 Bean Rows was our favorite, however. Thank you Cathy, for welcoming us with flowers and wine. This is a wonderful place to stay.

Great for families w young children!

  • 5 of 5

We had a short but amazing time here! We have two children (1 and 4) and this house was perfect for us and them. There were ample toys to play with, a pack n play and a high chair. While not necessary on vacation, these things sure make it easier when traveling with a baby.

Everything in the house was recently redone. The most important thing was that everything was clean! And I am very difficult to impress in that area. Everything you could need was in the kitchen for cooking. The deck was spacious and great for the children to play outside.

The only hesitation I would have about staying there again was not a fault of the owners at all. It had to do with the neighbors. There is a cafe next door with live music and that was actually quite nice. My complaint is about the neighbors on the other side of the house. Not sure if they were permanent residents or vacationers but they had several dogs that were unleashed and were aggressive toward us when we walked in back. The dog owners did little to control the dogs. NOT OK for a family with children. We had to be sure to use front gate only.

Best Northern Michigan Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best vacations I ever had (despite the rain/snow we encountered) It just didn't matter!!! The apartment was cozy and welcoming.

On our arrival we found a bottle of wine and chocolate truffles waiting with two cards, one to wish us a happy anniversary and another wishing me a happy birthday. So unexpected and very touching. We did not get to meet Cathy, but I did get to talk to her and she was so nice to talk to and so helpful. "If you need anything don't hesitate to call me!" were her welcoming words. Communications with the owners of this apartment were so warm and friendly. The gourmet kitchen in this apartment made cooking on vacation a real pleasure.

The deep, claw foot tub was wonderful to take relaxing bubble baths. It actually had feet on the tub that looked like lion claws! What a hoot!

The beds were comfortable and just sitting and relaxing in the lovely decorated living area was a treat.

Next door is Martha's Leelanau Table Restaurant. It is in a lovely old house and has a French Bistro atmosphere and the food was DELICIOUS. Oh, and you can see the kitchen and the hustling and bustling that goes on in Martha's kitchen from the sliding glass doors in the kitchen of the apartment. Kind of fun to watch! Sutton's Bay is just lovely, and you can walk right down town from the apartment and visit (and shop in, of course) the lovely shops. Across the street is the public beach and a marina that affords lovely views and a great place to take walks. The bike path that runs from Traverse City and ends not far up the road from this apartment is a great bike/walking trail. Oh, and Traverse City is a 15-25 minute drive from Suttons Bay and along M22 I could not believe how many wineries you can find which are situated in areas with stunning views of the countryside and bay. Yep....just cannot say enough nice things about our stay at this apartment and Sutton's Bay, MI I know that we will definitely want to stay here again! Thank you so much for such a memorable vacationl
