A very relaxing girls' trip at an awesome home!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The house was perfect for a weekend trip to get away from it all! All of the beds were comfortable, the house was spotless, and all of the necessities were provided. We will definitely visit again!

True peace! Blessed!!!;)

  • 5 of 5

Well... ever since I left... I want to go back!

The owner was wonderful. The home itself so very unique. The water was a little weak BUT who cares! It was fantastic and very comfortable. I loved that it was once a church. I sat in there and dreamed of what it must have been like.

I have stayed in many super luxurious places as a real estate broker but this memory is one that remains in my mind. So very different.

I simply cannot wait to go back & I plan too as soon as possible.

I got the flu while I was there on the 2nd day but the best place to lay around in front of the fire:)) God blessed me when I found this place. What peace.

Peaceful, Magical, Inviting

  • 5 of 5

Spent three nights in this magical, comfy and peaceful getaway for three nights. The place was fully equipped with all the modern conveniences in the kitchen which is very spacious. The family room was warm and cozy where are grand children dance to music every night. The bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom!! Big closets, comfy beds and linens. Loved the large back porch with the bubbly waterfall. The setting and scenery were peaceful and beautiful! The owner was very accommodating and made the trip easy for us. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away from all the hustle bustle of everyday life!

Beautiful home, beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

My mom and sister stayed at the cottage in early November. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. My mom has some mobility issues and uses a walker and wheelchair. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom worked perfect for her and she was very comfortable. There are restaurants and grocery stores in close proximity and downtown Nashville is within n 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property with a few issues.

  • 3 of 5

We were four couples getting away for a long weekend. First impression of the house is Absolutely Beautiful! There was plenty of space for us all. The creek with small waterfall was very pretty and relaxing. Loved the large dining table as we played games and shared meals together so it was nice for all of us to be seated comfortably. Spent an afternoon shopping in Leipers Fork and an evening at Pucketts in Franklin with live entertainment (call for reservations).

Now for the troublesome side. Note: I would stay again but only if these issues were corrected. No water pressure! The master bath is fantastic to look at. But, the claw foot tub was peeling paint so we would not use it and the large multi-head shower had absolutely no water pressure. The side jets were simply a small falling water feature because there was not enough pressure to actually work as massage jets. Also, the hot water only lasts for 4-5 minutes then runs cold. If you wait about 2 minutes, the water will return to hot again. We got down a rhythm to match the hot-cold pattern. LOL

The air went out twice upstairs and it was 80+ degrees.

There were ants on the kitchen counter when we arrived so they only got worse as we were using the kitchen while we were there.

Even though I did not want to have to deal with problems while on my get-a-way, I must give props to the management of the property. She was immediate in her response to the issues and very apologetic. She had someone there two nights in a row to re-charge the Freon so we would have a/c at night and they also sprayed for the ants. Even with the issues we experienced, we still had a great time and as I stated earlier, if these items were corrected (especially the water), we would return to this property. It is beautiful.

Owner's Response: Thanks for commenting the cottage was Absolutely Beautiful. I appreciate your sharing your concerns. I pride myself on my 5 star reviews so was sorry this one did not meet those standards. I got text upstairs A/C was not working. Got my repair man but he was on job and could not be there for about 2 hours. He did come A/C needed freon. Guests had left for evening so all working when they returned.. Got text about ants sent my exterminator over and he called and told me counters were covered with spilled sticky beverages cheese ball sitting out uncovered, and cracker an other foods uncovered on cabinets. I asked him to please clean them and cover all food which he graciously did. These sort of left out things draw ants any situation. I did not know there were water problems until I read this review.I wish they had text me about that as well. My next guests checking in the day they left did call me and told me what the water was doing. I immediately got my repair person there and he and a master plumber went under the house and found the "bladder" to the well had a leak. This had to be pulled and a new one put in. It was not a quick easy fix but it was done. These guests were very understanding knowing it was an issue that no one could have predicted. Priding myself in 5 star reviews I responded quickly as they mentioned This cottage is in rural setting beside a flowing creek with many trees and provides the best nature has to offer. It is designed to be a pleasant, relaxing setting in the country away form all hustle and bustle. I am so sorry about the issues these guests experienced. Happy to say all is fixed except the tub. The tub IS usable and have someone coming to fix it but cannot do it as long as guests are staying. I need a clear space so the fix can be done. It is scheduled but not until after October when I have a few days break to get the fix done. Please take time to read all my reviews below and know that this is a most unusual case. Things do happen from time to time to houses ( whether a rental or our own homes) that are out of the ordinary and it does take time to get them fixed. Again, I offer apologies to these guests as all guests are very special to me. I only hope they will come back as they said they wanted to do if issues were resolved. I want them to experience a 5 *****star stay. Please take time to read my others raving reviews. Hope you will decide to make a reservation in my "little slice of heaven." Sandy

Nine people spent the week in this wonderful place. The home was comfortable and very roomy. Yet it had a cozy feel about it. The decor made it feel very homey. A lot of time was spent on the back porch with the waterfall and creek a focal point. This was a fabulous place and would highly recommend it to anyone who wanted an out of way spot, yet not far from Nashville and other sightseeing spots.

Owner's Response: So happy to hear the nine of you enjoyed your stay at my cottage. I really appreciate your 5 star review and hope you spread the word to your friends and family. I love having referrals. The cottage is such a great place for a gathering of friends and family.....glad the large farm table was a gathering place to experience good times. The setting of the cottage offers such a great display of all that nature has to offer. Rural setting yet so close to other places to venture out and enjoy good shopping, live music in Leiper's Fork Village, Franklin, Tn. and clos to downtown Franklin for more of the same. Not that far to take a trip to downtown Nashville. Thanks again and please keep my cottage in mind for your next weekend get away. Sandy
