This 19th century stone house of about 180 sq. meters was built for the village priests. It has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs are a large living room with a separate kitchen and dining area, which open onto a huge terrace. The terrace has its own dining table and chairs, plus a BBQ. The house has all the usual appliances: wifi, 2 TVs, DVD player with an assortment of DVDs, dishwasher, microwave and regular oven, cooktop, combo washer/dryer, tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster.... Linens are provided. High chair on request. There is offstreet parking for up to three cars.
The house is within easy walking distance of two restaurants. A supermarket, more restaurants, etc., can be found in Luçon, some 10 km away. It is about 30 minutes to the beach and Puy du Fou. Also nearby are a water park and adventure parks. It is at the start of several marked hiking and biking trails. The neighborhood is quiet and there is no neighbor across the street. The landscaped garden has a pond and a boules court. If you are interested in the Tour de France, the house sits between routes for both the first and second days; see the official Tour maps for details. In short, it is a good base for your Vendee vacation.
