Quality Accommodation at friendly prices: Patio do Convente is a modern spacious condominium apartment right in the action at Lagos. There is over 100sq m of apartment. It gets the late morning sun on the balcony and insulated from any wind. Being adjacent to the historic town and town centre means you have all the shops and services within easy reach by walking. Lagos is just fantastic. For families, the children can be entertained whether at the condominium's pool and play area, the beaches or going to one of the many low cost excursions close by. This 2nd floor apartment has been refitted with new furniture, notably with new beds and doonahs, new microfibre pillows and linen , WIFI, UK /Portuguese/ Spanish TV stations , a dining table to seat 6. Close by are 3 supermarkets, Pingo Doce, Lidl, and Eco_Marche. There is a daily fish market (Mercados) on the Esplanade, a flea market for summer wear and craft along the river walk, and a Farmer's market every Saturday. A short walk takes you to the historic town centre and lovely buildings and walkways. Take in the nearby Hill view looking towards the marina and shops. There are many historic sites within the town such as the fort, the old slave prison and art centres.

How to Find the Condominium: If driving from the Faro airport, take the A22 road showing road signs to Portimao and Lisboa. As you travel on the freeway you will find signs to Lagos, take that turn off. Depending on your turn off to Lagos, you aim should be to find the water channel to the town. The condo is not on the marina side. Patio de Convento is a 4 storey yellow building with ochre colouring. It is very close to the roundabout that has the school, a red brick chimney and large white Municipal City Hall with palm trees. A guide to get there will be sent to tenants. When you see the unrenovated mansion with palm trees; turn into that street. It has a large blue sign. For bus and train travellers its very easy to find and directions can be given. The Lagos Bus depot is a 2min. walk from the apartment and the Train station is a 5 minute walk over the pedestrian bridge from the marina which leads straight to the bus station and then a 2 minute walk to the apartment. Taxi fare is 5-6 euro.

Wolrd class Car and Superbike Racetrack: 15 minutes away by car is the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is a 4.692 km (2.915 mi) race circuit located in Portimão, Portugal. The complex includes a carting track, technology park and , sports complex. There is also a bus service to the circuit. The circuit hosts rounds of the World Superbike Championship, A1 GP, FIA GT Championship, Le Mans series as well as being used by Formula 1 teams for testing. Its a great day out. From time to time, there is a travelling Bullfight ring or Circus that comes to Lagos or Portimao. It's not for everyone so if interested read the local papers for dates and times.

The coastline between Lagos and Luz is breathtaking and you can along the cliff tops taking in the expansive views of water. Hire a bike and enjoy the cliff tops and scenery.

I was in Paris for my birthday with old friends and tacked on 8 days in Portugal with 4 days in Lagos and the balance in Lisbon. Lagos is at least 6-8 degrees warmer than Lisbon and a good place for bars, restaurants and family entertainment. Plenty of english and german spoken by locals. Really enjoyed the apartment location and size with mod cons. Great to watch satnat TV catching up on Europe news and wifi internet cheap and reliable. I had most of the pool to myself but still enough people to talk to about whats what.

Spacious 2 BR and large balcony to sit on

Very well located being close to the Town centre, beaches, supermarkets and the marine. We hired a car and it was great that we had a lock up garage. Plenty of room to spread out in the Unit. Frescos across the road had great coffee and toasties. Plenty of restaurant choices close by especially with fish. Loved the grottos tour and golf game. Will come again

Lovely clean spaceious apartment

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for three weeks in June, it is very clean and well furnished and in a great location. Close to marina, and town with lots of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Went on a boat trip to the caves and grottos lovely scenery would definitely recommend it, Lagos is a great place we had a fantastic holiday we will be retuning to this apartment again.

great apartment

very spacious apartment good location everything you need for a holiday service excellent . Had early flight but veronica arranged early entry. had a problem with wndow shutter phoned manager repaired next day. everything very clean.prever shower but tried bath had to get plug from other bath as one not sealing. two 2 seater loungers very handy but beginning to show there age not to comfortable. recomend this apartment to anyone.

Great apartment in a great location.

We had an early flight and as the property was vacant Veronica allowed us entry to the apartment on arrival. Great start to a holiday. This apartment is very well equipped with all the appliances and kitchenware to make this a home from home. The apartment has free wifi and all the common TV channels including the Irish channels, great for keeping up with the GAA season. We found the apartment very comfortable and spacious and the balcony is blessed with evening sunshine, great to relax with an early evening drink!

There are two supermarkets Pingo Doce and Lidl within 5 mins walk and have all the fresh ingredients required for self catering if required.

Veronica is a pleasure to deal with and always answered any of our booking correspondence within 24 hours and as the apartment was in such good condition we didn't need to contact her during our stay.

Loved this apartment and location, so much so we have already booked to return next year. Thank you Veronica.

Lovely ModernApartment

Quality apartment in perfect location, 5 minutes walk to the beach, supermarket, cafe and centre of Lagos. The property is well maintained and is furnished to a high standard throughout. The agent provided detailed instructions before arrival. We have been coming to these apartments for a number of years and love the location. We always eat at Reiss , and we particularly like the restaurant at the top of the hill above the beach Lagos is busy at this time of year, but not overcrowded. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Great Apartment, Very Clean, Everything You Need

The apartment is lovely, bigger than I was expecting and very clean, it has everything you need for self catering. Didn't use the BBQ, but coals provided if needed. Great Air-Con. Great Wi-Fi, never any problems connecting. The pool is bigger than it looks and is cleaned every morning, even found a ball, board and Li-lo to use in the cupboard. There is a supermarket a few minutes walk away. The beach is probably 20 minutes walk away, Praia Meia is a lovely beach, but they all are! We found some days a bit windy, and the water cold. Plenty of boat trips to do, all good, the Zoo was ok, but don't expect too much from it. Highly recommend a Tuk-Tuk tour at the beginning of your holiday as you get a good idea of where things are, and the guide was very good. We found Lagos very clean, no hard-sales from the trip sellers, and eating out was cheaper than I thought it was going to be. I would definitely return to the apartment again and highly recommend it.

Owner's Response: A great feature is the range of activities on offer in he town and with tours such as grotto cruises, dolphin watching, fishing trips and visits to the local zoo. The dining prices are very reasonable especially for lunch. Being a roomy apartment you are not living on top of each other.

Lagos is surrounded by history, many enjoyable beaches with fine golden sands. The historic part of the town with its narrow cobbled streets has hardly changed over the decades. Look for a wide variety of cafes serving local and European foods with esplanades where everyone gathers to just watch the world go by. English and European food is plentiful. Lots of children activities. Make sure you choose one of the many low cost trips to see grottos, go fishing, dolphin watching and kayaking. There are waterparks such as Slide & Splash with discount vouchers. Zoo Marine is a marine life theme park with plenty to see. There is also an animal Zoo 5km away accessible by car or bus. There is great coastal walking all year round, bike hire and Jeep Safaris. There are great surfing beaches nearby. Two golf courses adjoin the Lagos town and there are 25 + more to play in the Algarve region. Historic day trips (Silves, Monchique, Trips to Sagres and the St Vincent Coast) can also be booked.

Other Activities: New motor sport race track within 10 KM

Golf: Many beautiful Golf courses are within 10km of Lagos Town. Check local guides. Specifically, there are two golf courses adjoin Lagos town and there are 25 more and counting in the Algarve region within short and reasonable driving distance. Close by is Palmares golf course which is a 18 hole, par 71 course, 5961m long. Must be played to appreciate the spectacular views of both sea and mountains. The 1st hole probably being the most striking in the Algarve with its high tee position pointing out to the sea. The newest addition called the Boa Vista Golf course less than five years old this is a 18 hole par 71, 5751m long. In the apartment complex you will stay at there is one dedicated car parking space in the locked basement providing total security for clubs etc. Lagos has a number of golf shops who can do special deals for some courses.

Little home touches, plenty of toilet paper, holders for your shampoo and lotions, a fluffy soft floor mat and a bidet in each bathroom. There are two monitors in the apartment to measure the temperature and humidity which can be adjusted to suit your needs.   • The apartment block is in a small street - Beco Senhora Do Loreto in Lagos. A photo based step by step guide to get there will be sent to people who book. The Unit is on Level 2 - in Lote 2 (Building). Bedroom 1 is spacious with a new King size bed, large window, curtains, electric shutters and there is a dressing table for your use. New Duvet and microfibre pillows. Bedroom 2 fits 3 beds easily with one fold up bed doubling as a table. new pillows as well.Overall 5 people can sleep in comfort in the two bedrooms. No extra charge for 5 people. Linen and bath towels provided for upto 6 people. A large balcony for dining. The large windows have electric shutters and there are colour coded blackout covers for the porthole windows. These can be easily removed during the day and stored and reapplied at night for sound sleeping. Super quiet Aircons operate in the two bedrooms and Lounge/dining. The best features of this Patio de Covente apartment are the quality facilities, friendly atmosphere and convenience to the town and beaches. Suits families, couples and small groups. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences, plenty of kitchen tools and bench space to prepare meals. A car is not necessary as the bus and train stations are literally around the corner. Easy walk to most areas and mostly flat terrain. Bus services around the town and to neighbouring towns are very good and on time. A bus trip to Cape St Vincent, near Sagres, most South Westerly point on Portugal, is worthwhile for the scenery alone. Plenty of choice of trips/events from vendors on the promenade. Eating out in Lagos is cheap and also caters for UK/Irish/German preferences. A trip on the Dolphin Safaris from the Marina is also a great thrill for young and old. Children will enjoy the pool and play area. Three beach towels are available for your stay and you can buy an extra at 6-8 euro
