All around AWESOME
This was an awesome experience. My children were very happy with the stay. It was very informative. Very clean. Very up to date. It was a nice and relaxing stay. The neighbors were also very helpful as far as things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again!
Excellent spot for a getaway
We had a great weekend at the cottage in Clayton. The location was perfect being on the water as well as close proximity to Clayton and Alex Bay. The cottage has everything you need on the inside and outside - we loved using the grill while relaxing/snack on the deck and making a fire at night.
Pefect little place
Place was clean and had everything we needed. Quick drive to A Bay one day and the rest spent fishing off socks and enjoying a camp fire. Nice little family getaway.
A great mini break south of the border
Had a great stay and John was very accommodating. Everything was clean and setup for us to use. The water in the St Lawrence was very high (may) so we didn't get to use the mini beach which would have been great for our toddler. Next time!
Lovely view of river in clean, affordable cottage
We were looking for an economical overnight stay during our 18 hour drive back home (two adults, two kids 9 and 12). This small cottage isn't fancy, but it fit our needs perfectly. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with the basics. The kids enjoyed the small "beach" at the water's edge and we all enjoyed the view of the river. The location was quiet and very peaceful. There is a manual provided that outlines all the policies and procedures for checkout and for setting up wifi, etc.... I found this very useful! The only minor drawbacks are: the smoke alarm is positioned right above the top bunk, making it difficult for someone to sleep there (my kids chose not to sleep there), and there is no privacy curtain across the sliding doors that open onto the deck. Other than that, this was a very nice and affordable overnight stay for my family! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!
