Space 2,000 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 1 - 3 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6

Privacy like this is hard to find anywhere these days... especially when you're still just minutes from everything! The house sits on 3 acres and is next to 100 acres of wilderness, so it's like being on a private reserve in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether you're into bird watching and relaxing on the back deck listening to the creek, want to cook out and sit around the fire pit and soak in the hot tub, want to get out and explore the area attractions or just go to dinner, you're centrally located to it all.

Each of the two main bedrooms have complete privacy at opposite ends of the house, each have queen size beds, private decks and are fully stocked with fresh linens and have ceiling fans. There is plenty of storage and hanging space. The kitchen is well stocked with all your basic needs even my favorite, a french coffee press! The house is light and bright with south facing windows and catches the cool mountain breeze so there's no need for AC.

Enjoy the sunset view from the sunken hot tub while you cook out on the grill and relax around the fire pit. This house is perfect for a weekend getaway or a month long vacation... whichever it is, I guarantee you'll want to stay longer!

About Owner/Property Manager

I grew up in Spain, Belgium and England, was tri-lingual by the age of 10. I graduated from the University of Bristol and promptly took off to work as a cook on sailboats in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. I ended up in Costa Rica where I lived for 5 years then moved to Boone NC. I now live in Asheville where I own a women's boutique so I can rent out my beautiful house in Boone for other people to enjoy when I'm not there!

Owner/Property Manager purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Boone

Come home to this private wooded hideaway just 5 minutes from town. Multiple decks for relaxing, a sunken hot tub with sunset views, a fire pit and bbq on the patio. Convenience to Boone, Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway make this a fantastic location for a mountain vacation!

What makes this cabin unique

It's hard to find this kind of privacy anywhere these days... let alone so close to everything!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Anna, we thoroughly enjoyed your mountain home. I think we spent most of our time on the deck just absorbing the quiet, the solitude, and the beauty. Tried to see the bears, but never did, just their emptying of the trash cans! We did see deer in the driveway though.

Thank you for allowing us the use of your beautiful home.

Beautiful Home, nice quiet getaway in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, quiet and very private. Great location with access to Boone and Blowing Rock. My family (including my dogs) had a wonderful time in the mountains. Owner was very helpful to answer questions and give advice.

Beautiful Home with a lot of Privacy and Everything You Need

  • 5 of 5

Five of us (all adults) spend a long weeekend at this beautiful home and we wish we had more time. The house is gorgeous, it is clean and very spacious. It is very well taken care of and it shows. The outdoor living space must be absolutely amazing in the spring and summer. It is a very large deck with multiple sitting areas overlooking the mountains. Due to the many windows in the house, we enjoyed the view in the winter without having to step outside. The house has everything you might need, except for a dishwasher. The decor is very tasteful and makes you feel right at home. It’s also 15 min away from Blowing rock, Boone, and the ski slopes, yet it is in a secluded area where you get planty of privacy. I highly recommend this place. We didn’t run into anything that we wish we could change. Anna is also extremely easy to work with. The whole experience was an absolute pleasure.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Surprised my wife for her birthday with a nice quiet getaway to the mountains. Could not have chosen a nicer place. The home is just as advertised, a private, beautiful, and cozy mountain hideaway. However, we were only 10-15 minutes from Boone or Blowing Rock, and grocery store and locations on the Blue Ridge Parkway were even more convenient. The home has a split design with a unique and comfortable layout which descends down to a spacious kitchen/family room area. Lots of windows with beautiful views from all levels. Home outfitted with all amenities you would need for a nice weekend of activities, or just staying and enjoying the comfort and peacefulness of this location, which includes a large deck, hot tub and fire pit. We did a little of both. We spent our Saturday hiking Moses Cone Memorial Park, which was very convenient, returned to relax in the hot tub, then made 15-20 minute drive into downtown Blowing Rock for dinner. We awoke Sunday morning to snow and a very cold day, and the home was perfect for a relaxing day indoors. Cannot say enough about the owner, Anna, who touched base with me on occasion via phone or text to assure our comfort and safety. When high wind warning and snow were forecast for Saturday night, Anna was in touch immediately to advise of available resources in the home to include salt for the steps and deck, and lanterns in case of power outage. All was fine, and awaking to snow with these views on Sunday morning was beautiful! Could not ask for a nicer hostess or property. Great weekend!
