For years I have been travelling for work far and wide our wonderful peninsula, but then I decided to slow down a little with my job to dedicate myself mainly to my family, developing a new business that would let me do so. This is why we (my wife Daniela and I) built up inside our property a new facility composed of apartments of various dimensions.
Marco Zorzetto purchased this chateau / country house in 2000
I had the best moments of my life with my family during our summer holidays, while visiting several European countries and their capitals. We have always preferred staying in holiday homes rather than hotels, because it always gave us more freedom, as well as the chance to immerse ourself in the culture. Most of the times a house surrounded by greenery in the quiet countryside gave us magic and relaxing moments.
Taking all these experiences in consideration, we decided to built up a place where it is possible to find rest after busy days visiting the main wonders of Venice and the surrounding area.
Twenty-five years ago my father and I entered in an old house which he had recently inherited from his grandfather. It was in poor state of disrepair: the floors were stripped, wooden beams in very bad condition supported a precarious ceiling and a multitude of wooden shacks and crumbling metal sheets were all around. I looked out the upstairs window, I saw the field at that time cultivated with corn and I immediately fell in love with the place. I have followed my dream for years and, finally, in 2007, after a considerable building renovation, I moved there with my family. An immense satisfaction!
Thank you, Marco for a great stay! The property was more beautiful than in the pictures! The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The town of Oriago was small, charming, exactly what we were looking for and a quick ride into Venice for a day trip. The first night we were in my husband was tired so I rode a bicycle into town (less than 2 miles) and easily brought back groceries in the basket provided. It was great to have access to the bicycles! The area was safe also, so no worries about being by myself at any point or going on our nightly walks. (Not the case in Rome!)
We also really appreciated the ride you provided to the bus stop at our departure. Grazie!
We loved our stay so much here that we are planning to go back in a few months! The hosts Marco and Daniela are wonderful. The house is wonderful, comfortable, clean and very welcoming. The kitchen has all the equipment you require and is very modern. We used the bikes quite a lot to visit the nearby Lidl and green grocers. We did not have opportunity to use the canoes but they looked great. The communal room has lots of information of nearby shops, restaurants and places to visit. You can get the bus to Venice for €1.50 each way or to Padova. Great central location. We ate at the local Eden restaurant and used Marcos bikes to get there. Easy property to get from the airport but be aware as the property is on the other side of the river that it's a good 20 minutes walk from the bus stop. It's a beautiful walk and one we did many times but ensure you are able to carry/pull your suitcases. It's €8 each on the bus from airport to Venice. We went to the ticket office rather than using the machines then when you arrive in Venice visit the red and white ticket office for tickets to Oriago Di Mira. I fully recommend this property, the location, ease of booking and welcoming hosts.
Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Particolari del Brenta in the Rose apartment.
We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by the friendly owners Danielle and Marco along with beautiful Rose and happy little puppy. (Rose actually stands in the spare parking space pointing to it with her nose to show where to park)!!
Marco is very kind and friendly and is organized with all the details, pamphlets, brochures for local area restaurants, parking, shopping - etc.
The apartments are actually larger than the pictures represent and the grounds and facilities are very clean and organized. Beautiful property. There are all the amenities, comfortable beds, kitchen is well equipped, fridge -stove-laundry facility, everything you need. Even cappacino cups for a nice morning coffee out on the porch (oh bliss) There is a huge supermarket nearby that you can get everything you need - just like being at home.
We used the bikes and went for a lovely evening ride along the river and stopped at some of the small shops in town.
We took the bus into Venice for the next two days (there is free parking) and you can get a pass at the tobacco shop. Marco has all the details if you need help.
If you want a peaceful - comfortable - clean - friendly place to stay - I would recommend this location and hope to visit again.

We really enjoyed this place , the owner Marco was great , he helped us out anyway he could . It's close to Venice and you really get the small town feel , after seeing people in Venice dragging their luggage around we were so happy we found this place . It has everything you needed for the stay . Great restaurants near buy . Great fish market . If we come back we will stay here again and will recommend this place to anyone that goes to Venice
We were very pleased as it was clean and modern. Marco was helpful and directed us to a large supermarket with good selections and prices! We enjoyed a bike ride and bus ride to Venice was convenient. An added bonus was the villas along the Brenta - we visited villa Pisani in Stra. We liked the restrauant in town (tan 2 story with no name) small pizza sign on sidewalk - big restrauant upstairs. We recommend this rental.
We had a wonderful stay! Our family of 4 to include an infant and a toddler spent 3 nights in Italy touring around, shopping, spending days in Venice, etc. I would recommend this property to anyone. The property is very quiet, clean, new, and secure. It was easy to get to the bus stop just down the street and directions were very clear. It was the perfect getaway to Venice to have small children. We took a short 20 min bus into Venice, which lets you off just at the edge of the city where you can pick up any kind of water transportation you would need or just start walking. We enjoyed restaurants in town and there are many grocery/produce/meat stops between the bus and the parking lot. It was very convenient and easy with children. We agree that we would stay here again if we went back to Venice! It would be the perfect place with children or just with friends! It is a large ranch split into separate apartments and has a HUGE yard for children to run/play. The patio area is large and perfect for outdoor bbq. Laundry/Internet/games, etc are all available. Only positive comments about our stay!
'Particolari del Brenta' is distant 800 meters far from the centre of Oriago, a small town situated in the Riviera del Brenta, halfway between Venice and Padua, and is a newly built facility, surrounded by green vegetation, alongside the river in an ideal position to visit Venice, Padova and the typical venetian villas of the Riviera. Due to the central location of the structure, Verona, Vicenza and Treviso are easily reached for excursions around the territory of the Veneto region.
Venice can be reached:
- By car in 15 minutes, arriving at the car-park in Piazzale Roma or at Tronchetto Island.
- By bus in 20 minutes, arriving at Piazzale Roma bus station; the bus stop is 800 meters far from the house.
- It is also possible to reach the urban area of Venice by car (3 km distance) to take advantage of reduced fares of buses and ferry boats (one-way ticket price to Venezia € 1.50).
