About Marco Zorzetto
For years I have been travelling for work far and wide our wonderful peninsula, but then I decided to slow down a little with my job to dedicate myself mainly to my family, developing a new business that would let me do so. This is why we (my wife Daniela and I) built up inside our property a new facility composed of apartments of various dimensions.
Marco Zorzetto purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2000
Why Marco Zorzetto chose Mira
I had the best moments of my life with my family during our summer holidays, while visiting several European countries and their capitals. We have always preferred staying in holiday homes rather than hotels, because it always gave us more freedom, as well as the chance to immerse ourself in the culture. Most of the times a house surrounded by greenery in the quiet countryside gave us magic and relaxing moments. Taking all these experiences in consideration, we decided to built up a place where it is possible to find rest after busy days visiting the main wonders of Venice and the surrounding area.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Twenty-five years ago my father and I entered in an old house which he had recently inherited from his grandfather. It was in poor state of disrepair: the floors were stripped, wooden beams in very bad condition supported a precarious ceiling and a multitude of wooden shacks and crumbling metal sheets were all around. I looked out the upstairs window, I saw the field at that time cultivated with corn and I immediately fell in love with the place. I have followed my dream for years and, finally, in 2007, after a considerable building renovation, I moved there with my family. An immense satisfaction!

Mellow in Mira
The grounds and the apartment were immaculate. Marco was very helpful. The apartment was well stocked with what we needed. There was a games room and bikes available for use. We were very happy with the accommodations and Marco was very pleasant to work with. We would stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it
Absolutely PERFECT place to stay in Veneto region of Italy!
This was just the highlight of our trip to Italy - my only regret is that we didn't stay here for more than a couple of days! This would make the nicest week-long holiday ever...summer, spring, fall, or winter! Quick bus to Padova or Venezia, plus the little town is just wonderful to walk around and bike. Lots of beautiful villas to see around there. Marco, the owner, is so nice and respectful of your visit - my best experience ever with VRBO (and Airbnb, too!) Place is well decorated, beautiful outside, private and quiet, and there are bikes available for you to use anytime. Really, you don't want to pass this up.
We had a holiday to remember for ever
Marco was extremely helpful, especially as our flight was cancelled as we were about to board at Gatwick. We thought we would not be able to have our holiday at all as Easy-Jet left us high and dry and we had to return home. We did however manage to get there late with BA, but our flights to and from Venice were unsociable hours. Marco was a great help assuring us this was not a problem. He stayed up to meet us late at night and saw us off at 5am on our last day. He helped with rearranging taxis and came across as a lovely family man. We met his wife and daughter too and all were ever so friendly.
Everything was immaculate and tidy. We used the bikes on offer to bike to the bus stop each day and the kids loved taking the canoes out on the canal as well.
We bought a saver ticket for 3 days on all the buses and water buses. Take your passport to buy this if you are in your 20's or younger as you will get a discount.
Lovely and quiet at the chalet and our sons enjoyed the table tennis.
Venice sometimes gets a bad press. We thought it was absolutely amazing and hope very much to return. We did not find it too crowded or the water smelly as some will tell you. We found it beautiful and very well cared for everywhere. There is nowhere else like it. Grab your chance to go!!!
Our tip is turn right at the bus station as you face the canal in Venice. Go over a couple of bridges on the right where there is a restaurant and people eat outside. There in the hot weather, you will find the a couple of kiosks with the cheapest 'slushy drinks' and ice creams (1.50 euro) and a bit further up in the same row, pizza slices for 2.50 euro if you are on the run. The Coop in Venice is cheap to shop in too.
Get lost in Venice and remember to visit some of the fabulous islands too. We loved Murano, Burano and we spent an afternoon at the beach on the Lido too.
Marco & his two daughters were so nice & helpful ,the property was super clean ,location is so perfect , having Rose & Beth around made us feel safe we looked forward to see them every night , it happened that we forgot an Ipod Marcos’s daougter tried reaching us in every way she could within 15 minuets , unfortunately I didn’t pay attention to my phone till 2 hours later luckily Marco was so nice to ship it to my address same day which I thank him a lot for it , I Strongly recommend this place ...Love it
Particolari del Brenta - Marco's home!!
Beautiful setting inside a private, gated acre with fruit tree's,, beautiful flowers and well manicured yard. The home we stayed in was a two bedroom and two bath home with all the amenities needed. This place has two washer and dryers, playroom, bikes to use, kayaks, and other amenities. Well maintained and sits in Mira, Italy just minutes from Venice directly on the inner canal. This charming home is in a very quite area with many restaurants, grocery, fuel nearby. Can walk by the canal to the restaurants. Very romantic and would recommend this well kept location to anyone interested in staying in the Venice area. Marco and his wife have a beautiful place. Brad
Great quiet location. Plenty of room for parking.
Very clean and comfortable. Bus to venice was fast and convenient.

Due to the central location of the structure, Verona, Vicenza and Treviso are easily reached for excursions around the territory of the Veneto region.
Venice can be reached:
- By car in 15 minutes, arriving at the car-park in Piazzale Roma or at Tronchetto Island.
- By bus in 20 minutes, arriving at Piazzale Roma bus station; the bus stop is 800 meters far from the house.
- It is also possible to reach the urban area of Venice by car (3 km distance) to take advantage of reduced fares of buses and ferry boats (one-way ticket price to Venezia € 1.50).
